Damn. Hell knows who's been attacking me at school when I've never noticed. I could be saying high to my friend and someone could have just jumped me (both metaphorically and physically) without me ever noticing it. I might have been staring at my milk bottle for an entire 5 minutes and the millisecond i don't look at it, some troll might have tainted it with their blood. Scary shit man.

@Vijay - We are not proposing the Concil have it's own military - at least I am not. I am proposing that each nation pledge her armies to enforce the descisions the council makes, otherwise we get a body more laughable than the league of nations :D. I prefer that you actually have a nation on this planet "vapor". It is weird when the homeland of a certain nation is not on the planet.

Hm? What post are you talking about? The one in the Fire RP, or in the Miterian/Inesean conference? I think those are the only two I've posted lately.

Apologies for the delay. I said I'd get three posts up tonight, before the day was out. Might take me a bit---sorry, classes today were a bit tiring. :/

In technicality East Servoth is the name of my puppet I used so that I could be in Vapor and my home region at the same time; durring a vapor rp however, my nation would be refered to as Servoth not East Servoth.

That and I've been waiting along time to do this, but I've wanted to make a rp involving the invention of the airplane. Does 1899-1900 sound good to everyone? Since the world war would be during 1910, I think 10 years would be good enough for fixed-wing aircraft to develop for use in war.

Sounds good for me, as long as it doesn't turn into a re-hash of real life. If we get fixed-wing aircraft, I want it to be dangerous and viewed with revulsion. After all, why would anyone want to fly on some spindly thing that looks like it'll crash in two seconds, when the airships have been around for decades? I'm thinking the pilots would be the daredevils, the devil-may-care people, who go and do their own thing, really.

Ok, I have a post up on the Fire thread (I should be meeting up with you others soon), my post is still unanswered in the Eastern Conference Thread (I kinda got out of that scrape by the skin on my teeth though), and I just posted on the RR Conference again (I am really liking out exchange, Vijay!)

@Mish - ALL of your posts are good... but I meant specifically the Miterian conference, though now that I read, your post on Fire was FANTASTIC too! Could you TG me about what exactly you are plannin to do in the Fire Thread? I am interested to see your nation's response to one of her military assets destroyed in the borderless wastelands. Depending on what you and I do, we could even incorporate it into the story of why I want a Promethian Colony in the first place, and how your nation could ever agree to such a development without starting a major war. Just a thought.

@Servoth (or is it East Servoth? :?) - NOOOOO, Another amazing RP I feel I have to join, even though I am overwhelmed with school as it is! Why is life so cruel, that the moment I discover the wonderful world of RPing, all my time disappears into a monumental vacuum of the largest magnitude? Perhaps I was right about the cracks in the walls, and I need to check for them myself!

We could stick it on Oulen, but I'm kind of imagining them more like the Americas circa 1650 -- mostly tribal with very little exposure to the white devil.

Or we could put it in Dal -- y'know, just pile on some more conflict between Inoroth and Dal, sort of like the RL Holy Land.

Vjiay wrote:Right, maybe I'm missing the point in the RR thread and if so I apologise, but this is what I think you guys are suggesting:

This Council, should it be formed, will have its own military capabilities that can intervene on another nations sovereign territory if the other nations involved in said council deem it necessary, yes?
Because in Pelly's mind this is tantamount to, effectively, and NGO have access to arms, which would be unacceptable to him.

If, however, you are arguing that each nations representative could suggest to his/her government that the use of force may be necessary (EG: Suez Canal in the 50s) then that is a different story. If that is the case though, surely it is common knowledge that such would happen anyway, so why do we need to even put it down?

All that is happening is that Pelly currently thinks the Council would be another layer of unnecessary bureaucracy .

The second one, I think (though I don't really know the story of the Suez Canal)

I've actually already declared IC in a past RP that there have already been heavier-than-air experiments in Fanaglia, though they've all been on a success rate of, well, not well. The best we've done so far is pretty much the same as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Du_Temple_Monoplane]Félix du Temple's monoplane, which was aluminum and powered by a small steam engine. The monoplane "staggered briefly into the air" in Brest, France, in 1874. Ours came circa 1881.

No worries, mate -- I thought we'd already agreed OOC on having some sort of trade agreement, anyway, though we haven't gotten around to working out the details yet. Only thing is, since the Monitor-class ships are military, we wouldn't sell them to you unless we were pretty comfortably close -- like alliance-close. I'm fine with that if you are. Would you like to offer anything in return for our ships, or just give us lots of money?

We could offer to you food commodities or coal. Either which we have in abundance. Or, if we trade around 1890 foreward, we could give you naval vessels. But the first one is more realistic as we would have traded around 1880-87. And we would be open to trade.
EDIT: or we could trade steam engine designs, artillery designs such as our Canon de 75 modèle 1897

@Vijay - I suppose it is obviously implied, but it is far better to have it in writing and not need it to be, than to not have it in writing and need it to be (I am thinking Italy-Germany Alliance, WWI). If Mr. Pelly thinks it is redundant, then why doesn't he just agree with it, so we can move on to discussing his pet issues - which seems to be tariffs and taxes.

@Sri - Sorry to hear that an old china dish or something totally destroyed your leg in combat. If I were you, I'd change the official story to something more impressive (like the psycho-axman or something)

@Fan - Muslims and Pagans are completely different. I do not oppose having the holy lands in our disputed territories though... perhaps right on the border... maybe even split down the middle!

@Inesea - It would NOT be godmodding, as long as the range was normal and the projectiles were not too deadly. The real 'Big Bertha' had horrible accuracy. Basically, it could accurately hit the city of Paris. With those conditions, I have no problems.
