Vapor: A Steampunk RP Region (OOC v. 2.0 -- CLOSED)

I've been out for a while, does anyone care to bring me up to speed as to what has been happening in Voerdeland?

Okay, so Voerdeland collapsed completely, essentially. A rogue agent from Fanaglia is operating w/o Fanaglian knowledge in Voerdeland, leading a revolution against the Voerdish government. At the same time, the Voerdish army massacred a village that happened to be primarily Mishmahigian Christians, causing Mishmahig to be like "Ehrmagerd, human rights," which kinda snowballed.

Currently we have several factions. You have the new state, the Republic of Nova Voerda, which is just and good and whatever, and it's locked in a bloody civil war with the remnants of the old state, the Voerish Free State. Gratia Infinitia and someone else are supporting the old state, while Fanaglia and....someone, are supporting the new state. At the same time, Servoth is sending agitators into Voerdeland, Cyprum is massing troops (OOC), Khamul is indiscriminately bombing villages (I think they stopped now), Inesea is sending humanitarian supplies, and Mishmahig is sending troops who have some sort of mission called "Operation Omega".

I didn't say this is what will happen, I just said that it is the Kaiser's dream to have a single Germanic nation spanning the entire length of Amplector.

Also allows for rapid insertion/extraction should the battle go ill... Wich should be a comfort for your Kaiseress, seeing as secret technology will be involved. I have already stated my primary practical objective (allowing non-Voerdish people to safely flee the country and forcing both sides to have peacefull elections), so what are your practical goals?

@Wirbel - Umm.......... yeah, that won't happen. I hope you got's lots o soldiers, tanks, and (as much as I hate the stuff) gas, as well as a will of iron, cause you can't haz my Inoroth. I now feel less enthusiastic in the coming 1910 war... don't want to fight both you and Dal at the same time .

I think a WWII scenario..where most of the european Amplectorean nations fall to 'german' invasion, but are later liberated by their own exiled governments/troops and allies would be pretty fun...

Inoroth does not 'Fall'... But with almost 240 million people, she may knock people over (But not to the German Extent). Perhaps If Wirble does his 'secret' plan, Inoroth could play a role similar to Russia's in WWII (Minus Communism). I don't know 'bout the rest of you though.

Okay, i have decided. My airship engaged a small rebel faction called the New Republic(insignificant). We will misinterpret them as representing Vova Voerdera-whatever and move into restore peace blah blah blah. Also, our soldiers Peacekeepers all read the PeaceKeppers manuel by Suzanne Collins. We will hold annual gladiator games soccer games.

Ah, so the New Republic is just a small, rogue faction that also happens to be fighting the Old State?

Expect the posts from here on out to have a much more 'RPy feel' to them.

I was commenting on the length of your post. Very well done.
Also, we don't exactly see eye to eye, but your plan shouldn't particularly interfere with Mishmahig's plan.

Which reminds me---@Fanaglia, do you have a rough idea of the demographics of Voerdeland? Rough percentages of Mishmahigian Christians, pagans, various ethnicities, etc?

The problem with that post was that I had way to much material to incorporate and so I had to divide my talent and time amongst too many subjects. It's like being in history class and being asked to write an essay no more than 5-10 pages, and then being asked to include in it every major historical event... ever. Either you go way into detail about Napoleon, neglecting everything else, or you are forced to write only one or two lines and have crappy coverage of everything. I did my best though, and I really appreciate the compliment.

@Vitz - We need to talk about how we are doing our Coalition thing sooner rather than later.

From Voerdeland's factbook:

65% of Voerdelanders is Metis, 20% is Aboriginal, and 14% is European. Other ethnicities (mostly immigrants from various parts of Asia) make up only 1% of the population.
Christianity is by far the largest religion (80% of the population). Most believers belong to Congregationalist churches.

He doesn't mention Mishmahigan Christianity (for obvious reasons), but I think 20% is reasonable, followed by 60% Catholic/Protestant and 20% "other Eastern religions."

Their culture appears to be, as I've said before, sort of Anglo-Russian with a smattering of French culture. They have two official languages (English and Voerdish) and three recognized regional languages (Russian, Polish, and French). Their currency is the shilling.

As far as the demographics chart goes, it's not such a bad idea. There's just sooo many things I keep telling myself I'm going to add to the OOC OP for which I never have time. As it is, I can barely keep up with the Voerdeland thread, as evidenced by all my truncated posts as of late. I'll see what I can do, though. In the mean time, if everyone could fill out this form, it'll give me the info I need if I ever get around to adding it to the OP.
