We agreed that Svealand never existed because he never got involved, and thus it was easy.

However, you raised objections as to new nations appearing out of nowhere, so---as a compromise---we suggested people taking over deleted/CTEd nations, like Svealand.

@Vitz - When did we agree Svealand never existed? I just pretended his tribes were too weak to be a proper nation on the map.

What's the point of someone new if they're just going to take someone elses nation instead of putting their own mark on the world.

@Vitz - He is putting a mark on this world! A revolution, followed by a massive restructuring. I think that qualifies as being different enough.

Well it seems that you nor the others care what some of us have to say, so in your short sighted demands to let him in, we have no choice but to make sure it's proper.

Everyone else has made a good point to allow him in. The long term effects of letting one decent person in to fill the spot of a former member who didn't make a post here is adding up to be pretty good.

Being a stickler for keeping a 'closed Vapor' is what's short sighted. About four people left so we take one in and it leads to just technically three people leaving. And we had no problem with having the four people in the past so it doesn't look like it's going to be the end of the world or anything.

I listened to your points, and answered and accommodated for them each in turn. I listened, and responded. What more do you want from me? :p

Give me your reasoning to why he is decent? I look at his example and fret knowing that people in Vapor are going to gloss over it without scrutinizing it as much as we did with Cygnar.

Because despite all this bickering, the man is continuing to push through the obstacles that this 'closed' policy has put up. It's Svealand for Christ's sake, letting him in won't kill anyone.

If you want him to work as hard as Cygnar then we'll see if he's up to the task.

@Inesea: Because he's a stickler.

That's a decent bit of writing, certainly at least on par with "Vapor Writing Standards" if such a thing exists. No reason to fret over that, and honestly, how much "scrutinization" did any of us have to go through? I mean, my factbook is still in shambles, and aside from RP's and vague ideas I really haven't given you all a good idea of my culture, and honestly that could go for almost anyone here...

What I don't understand is were did this concept come from, the one which states that anyone applying here needs to undergo torturous proceedings to be accepted. As long as he can write and is dedicated (he's proven he's both, by the way), I say we give him a chance. I mean, if the Revolution RP fails, we let it die and never allow it to be canon, right? I don't see the risk if it all falls through, and if it works, we add a new player to the empty world of Vapor!

We got in because Vapor was OPEN at that time. Now we've progressed so far we either stay closed or put the same strict scrutinization on everyone trying to get in that we put on Cygnar and Averi.
