Hey Gratia, I've got an Idea ! What if there is a Inorothian Monastic Knight/Missionary/Castle/Fortress nearby? It could be kinda like the Knights Templar, or the Knights from that G.A. Henty book that protect Constantinople. It would not be an 'official' Inorothian government entity, but would allow me to get into the action easiest.

Otherwise, how did you want me to come into the picture? I am a little confused as to how you want me to fit it. Also, dates that we're in please.

Yeah I hope I didn't come across too... forceful, Sri, it's just that you're the only one who seems to be forcing the idea of 'My dick is bigger than your dick' on everyone and, in a world were many nations are at similar stages of development and such, you're not gonna be just ruling over everyone and dominating land like the British did - being the first to industrialise and all.

And with regards my military , just so you all know, it's based on speed. If a fleet of mine gets cornered then the sea will be painted red with Vjiayan blood as my navy's tactics are generally have big guns, fast engines and little armour, so I'll likely blast you from the horizon with a few volleys then fall back and muster again for another shot a couple hours later. Same with the Army, the aim is to strike hard and sure with fast moving elements to capture key points but, if you cut those fragile support lines before they are solidified by the supporting, heavier elements, then my assaulting guys are boned.

We don't have an air force, just big guns to bring your airships down.

I say that I have a large air and naval force because I'm an island, and it would make quite a lot of sense for my air and naval units to see more development, leaving the ground force out in the cold.

You haven't seen my navy... I guess I never put it up, but now's a good time.

I know you like to think you have the biggest and nicest navy and such but you can't just claim it OOCly... You have to make us believe it ICly, just because you have nice images doesn't make it any better than anyone elses. I mean, I probably won't challenge anyone to a headsup naval battle, I'll likely just do hit and runs on your fleets with fast battlecruisers. That's a tactic I'll use.

If you're saying 'I haz the bigest navy!1' then fine, but if you have tons and tons of ships you're gonna have to have an army that's more poorly equipped than others. And considering you're always on about the colonisation of land areas I don't understand how you're to do that. Added to that, you're also a very small nation in comparison to others which means less finances etc.

Sounds awesome. The Gratian group consists of one airship with twelve crew, thirty knights of the Order, and their captain and the two monks. It really could function as a small army if it needed to. Since this particular Promethian tribe is under Gratian hegemony, foreign visitors will likely be directed to where the delegation is staying. They'll probably spend some time in the region before it all blows up, and then...who knows?

Excellent idea. The whole top is about to blow off the region, so having a sympathetic group already in the area would be helpful. As to dates, I was thinking around 1890 equivalent. Something that will allow elite military units to have pretty functional repeating revolvers and bolt action rifles.

Well not really, as that is just one aspect of a small military niche (Unless they're the size of battleships), plus, you're a pretty big country so could probably afford the resource expenditure. If you suddenly said that all your soldiers had a personal one then I'd be like 'wtf', but at the end of the day we#ll probably all have something of a similar nature.

It's just that Sri keeps going on and on about how his Navy is obv the world's biggest and best, as if he's trying to win battles OOCly. I mean, I'm all for RPing me losing a battle but I'm not doing it just because Sri says all his money goes to his Navy (Which he has said), that means I expect his Army to be borderline newborn babies told to charge.

Oh and I'll try to get an IC post up tonight, just trying to think how William would cockily say 'Aye' =)
