How did Mcneria's subs show up out of nowhere?

Obviously, we need to clear up some issues. The next couple days are going to get interesting, let's not waste time having to deal with this BS.

Hey Mcnernia, where did your six submarines come from? I'm about to retcon my own post detecting them simply because you cannot detect something that does not exist... which means your submarines. I see the question originally posed here on OOC was ignored outright...

OK, so, I am in possession of Mcnernia's ORBAT of Hutanjian deployed forces. He gave it to me a while back so we could do some planning. I'm not going to post it seeing as that is TS classified Royal allied stuff. But, that being said, the 'mystery' subs ARE on there. Which means they have been in Hutanjian waters.

Well, just to let you all know, nothing that directly affects you, but I edited one of my previous posts to reflect the arrival of gear I RP'd as leaving the Uli-Schwyz HQ base a bit back and more preparations stuff. It fit in better with that post than making a new one.

I feel like I will never catch up on posts I need to make but I will try.

Just for clarification:

What kind of terrain can be expected on the Cardwiths? I was under the assumption that West Cardwith, my island at least, is relatively flat and clear grasslands with forests, perhaps similar in nature to the American Southern Midwest?

That is probably safe to assume. The Cardwiths are definitely less forested and more populated than Nesselberg. There are some forested patches, but also some plains with scrub trees and bush and some rolling hills, savannah like. There would be some dunes on some of the beaches. We are definitely not deep jungle like Nesselberg, for sure. More towns, more people, even some suburbs around Hesttens, Noritts and Marksville. The biggest towns on each of the islands.

Tanks, here is where they will come in handy. Unlike Nesselberg.

Mcneria what the hell... You can't land a spec ops team in the beach and magically avoid my bunkers, mines, and coastal defenses that are defending the beach. Either revise your post or I'm ignoring their presence.

McNernia--model in my last post. You notice I am APPROACHING coastal waters in it--I am giving the enemy ample time to react. By coastal waters I am taking it to be that I am not even within sight of the beachead yet. Actually a great example can be found in "Apocalypse Now" for the air cavalry attack. In that particular case they get surprise because the enemy have no sufficient radar or anti-aircraft batteries, but in the case of our enemies, they do have radar and sonar, they have naval patrols out, so they have the right to detect your approach within 100 km of your attack at least.

Trying Tg'ing him; he's inexperienced with some kinds of roleplaying but he's not a bad guy.

I'm confused as to whom Mcneria is attacking. He makes mention of going toe-to-toe with the "Falkies," as in me, but then in his last sentence states he had experience assaulting nations like Falsea. I'm unsure as to whom the statement is directed at.

it's actually stated in my post--Nourselle, at the Southwestern Island's southeast coast.

Nourselle, West Cardwith Island:
New Isotopian troops are opposing New Edom's 18th Light. The New Isotopian 2nd Revolutionary Brigade to be exact.

And just FYI, The 2nd Brigade, 6th Cardwithian Reg. is opposing the 4th Bd, 3 RAR (Royal Hutanjian Rangers)

1st Rev. Bd, New Isotopian is opposing the Mcnernian SBS/Ranger landings

1st Bd, 4th UFF is opposing the Uli 6th Plt, L co. landings

NOTE: The 4th and 5th are still UFF instead of DSR/Cardwithian because portions of those regiments are still on Nesselberg serving as guerrilla forces and therefore, they are irregular UFF forces instead of proper units of the DSR Army. Kind of like the Viet Cong's relation to the NVA.
All other native troops on the Cardwiths are official Army Regiments of the Democratic Socialist Republic (of the Cardwith Islands).

When the main landings happen and the cat is generally out of the bag, so to speak, I will release both the defense and offensive ops plan maps for the Cardwiths. It will be quite interesting for you all and our outside readers. I had a lot of fun making them and getting input. It's really hard to play both sides and not slip up.

onar and observation posts began to report enemy ships closing in on the island, yet another attack on the Isotopians that night. But Fort Mason was their house, they weren't letting a bunch of damn monarchists in without a bloodbath. So UAV's were met with fast attack interceptors and aircraft were scrambled to meet the enemy ships and aircraft. As the missiles rained down, the Isotopians naval response was at the same magnitude. Frigates and destroyers launched anti ship missiles in response, and the Isotopian cruise missile sub., NIS Leninoistika fired missiles in response. The Isotopian flagship, the Kirov Class Battle cruiser NIS Vauxhall unleashed her massive payload of anti ship and cruise missiles towards the enemy.

Naval Infantry, Spec Ops, and the revolutionaries present took cover from the rain of missiles and armored forces mobilized for the expected ground forces landing. Anti ship missile launchers, that hadn't been hit by the enemy fired, their main target was the carrier. Artillery weapons, from Self Propelled guns to MLRS, began firing out to the sea, their unguided missiles would be harder to hit than regular anti ship missiles. As enemy helicopters began to advance towards the shore, a barrage of SAM's and AA guns hit them like the way a steel garter would hit car.

Suddenly you have a Kirov class battlecruiser, a cruise missile submarine, frigates and destroyers? SPG`s/MLRs interceptors, and other aircrafts INCLUDING your thousands of troops? may i note a Kirov only carries 20 Granit missiles which are anti-ship missiles, it does not carry any cruise missiles of any sort or type.

You got SAM`s as well and AA.

For me this seems to be rather out of league regarding a proxy war and seems more then 4-5k, by /far/ if you include LOGISTICS and sailors, pardon me while i bring in battle-cruisers and masses of submarines and other assets.
