Battle of Melk

Viewing the battle now from the front lines, Tarkin smiled at the fruits of his labour. Artillery exploded all around, the sounds of dying men permeated the air.

"Continue the assault, close in and encircle the Germans."

The commander followed the instructions to a "t", the 9th and 10th Corps moving in and surrounding the NATO forces. A jeep arrived near Tarkin's Behemoth, the officer informing him that the 11th and 12th Corps were now behind the German forces.

Buda Castle, Budapest.

Felicia enters Carolus' chambers and notices him looking at the map of Budapest and jovially humming. She shakes her head in disappointment and thinks, Károly, what are you doing?

The thoughts go away as Carolus notices his eldest sister, "Hello, Felicia!" He comes up and gives her a hug. "What do I have the pleasure of seeing you, at this moment?"

She smiles and says, "The budgets need approving. Would you like me to balance everything, brother?" She asks, innocently.

"Ah! Thank you, Felicia! I forgot it completely! If you could, it would be spectacular!" He says, with a beaming smile. "Thank you very much!"

"Anything, Károly."

Battle of Melk
*The Germans saw the Enemy move behind them. They knew they where in trouble now. The Leader of the German Ground Forces, General Albert Ostermann commanded that some of his forces turn around and engage the enemy. He also redirected the jets to go and bomb the enemy behind them. However, he now knew that they had made a grave mistake.*

Battle of Melk

Tarkin almost laughed in glee. The Germans had taken his bait, and disengaged their air power. The day would be his. Tarkin called down to his radiomen.

"Have our fighters make a run at the German ground forces, and have our artillery pound them before making another push with our armour. Also have the 11th and 12th Corps continue their movement on Munich."

The orders were sent in, and the fighters unleashed hell.

Battle of Melk
*The Hungarians rained bombs upon the German forces. As he saw this, Ostermann realized the trap he had just entered. He pulled out his radio and gave the order to fall back. With that the rest of the German forces began to move out of the city.*

*The men watched as the German's began to fall back from Melk.*
Corrigan: "I have to get on line with the Field Marshal."
Kowalski: "Why?"
Corrigan: "I want boots on the ground in Germany ASAP. East America is coming now, and with us, we shall bring new weapons. Hopefully then we will win this war." *He turned around and picked up the phone.*

*The German's stopped their retreat. Ostermann now told them to stand their ground and find shelter. Meanwhile some of the German Airforce returned to attack the Hungarian jets. Tarkin read the German's message.

"Inform the General I will meet him halfway between our Armies. Also inform him that until a settlement is reached, there will be a ceasefire."

The Emperor was enjoying a nice pot of tea when a Servant entered.

"Your Majesty, reports are coming in from our informants that the FEA is poised to go to war."

The Emperor said nothing for a while.

"Thank you, you are dismissed."

Seeing the Germans stopping, the Hungarians did the same. Tarkin and his staff drove off to the meeting place designated for the negotiations. Tarkin saluted the German commanders.

Ostermann: "Hallo an euch zu allgemein. Nun, Sie wollten meine Kapitulation zu diskutieren? Oh bitte, sich hinzusetzen. Möchten Sie einen Tee?"

German-Hungarian Border

Prince Tarkin, with Austria back under Hungarian control, made his final preparations for the invasion into Germany. The 11th and 12th Corps were already moving towards Munich, and he had sent a large part of the Hungarian Air Force to ease the invasion up. The 9th and 10th Corps were also sent, a day behind the rest of the Third Army.

Area 55 B
*The Leader of the base hung up the phone. He sighed and walked to a part of the base. He saluted the General at the base and gave him the orders. The General was shocked but performed his duty. He began calling people to have equipment from the base sent to Germany.*

Germany
*About a week later, American forces arrived in Germany. They where sent to Munich to prepare for the invasion. Tanks, Helicopters, Jets, Bombers, Mechs, everything was there. They began evacuating Munich and preping the city for the battle that was to come. They believed that now that one of the most advanced militaries on the planet was there, they would be able to push the Hungarians back and win the war.*

German Front

The past week had been full of minor skirmishes as the Third Army pushed its way closer to Munich. Fulfilling his promise the Emperor provided Tarkin with command of two other Imperial Armies, increasing his total command to close to half a million men. The First and Second Armies were positioned to move from Czechoslovakia and towards Nuremberg and Weimar, respectively.
