Southern Germany
*In the time since the Vergenskian invasion of Austria, the Germans have prepared for war. They had evacuated most major cities in Southern Germany and have placed the bulk of their military in the south. Preparations like this had not been seen since WWII in Germany.*

Southern Slovakia
*The group made their way into the village. The village was rather empty. They looked around for a while until a man came up to them. He held a gun up to them, it was a rather old looking gun.*
Man: "Halt! Identifikujte sa, ako sme ťa zastreliť!"
*the men froze. None of them spoke Slovak. Eventually Mikhail spoke up.*
Mikhail: "Вы говорите на русском? Как насчет английского?"
Man: *he sneered* "Russian. Yes, I speak English. Identify yourselves now before we shoot you."
Mikhail: "We are friends of the people of Slovakia."
Jackson: "Yes, we are agents from E. America, Russia, and Britain. We need your help to send us to Prague."
Man: "Americans?" *he looked around.* "Follow me comrades."

Budapest, Hungary. September 7th, 2059.

The newly crowned Hungarian Emperor; Carolus Victorus, which he now goes by, sits at his desk on the verge of ripping his own hair out. "These God-Damned Slavs! Mezey! Get in here now!" He yells, thunderously. The head of the Biroladomi Gárda, Colonel Andrei Mezey, rushes into the Császár's office. "What is it, my Liege?" He asks, somewhat frightened. "Its time to enact a new policy to deal with these damn Slavs. A way to deal with discontent unlike any other." The Emperor explains. "Come. Close the door. We must talk about our 'Eltávolítása a Békéért' in private."

Budapest, Hungary. September 7th, 2059.

Prince Anthony Tarkin, the newly appointed Ambassador to the Hungarian Empire, sees Colonel Andrei Mezey leaving the Emperor's office, a grin on his face. The Prince thinks little of it and walks into the Office, right on schedule. As he enters, he bows respectively.

"Your Imperial Majesty, I have arrived per our agreement. I have part of the solution to your worries."

"Yes, I would love a cigar."

He takes one from the Emperor's case and they share a match.

"Now, the reason I wished to see you was about the Slavic revolts. I deduce that is why the Colonel was in here."

He gives a few puffs.

"Obviously, tensions have been high with our Eastern neighbours, and I would not be surprised if they were financing the resistance groups. I'm giving you the stone to kill two birds; the Slavs, and the Russians".

He left the important part unsaid, as he knew Carolus would understand what he was proposing. What the young Emperor would not know is that Lucius I gave Tarkin the idea not two hours prior.

Carolus takes a puff from the cigar and smiles. "Mezey was here to help me with the Slavs in the domestic. This will help me as well. Very much so. Do you have any evidence on it?" He asks.

The Prince smiles evilly.

"I thought you might ask."

He pulls a series of document out of his briefcase.

"These are transcripts of phone conversations between members of the Russian General Staff and the Slavic rebels I 'intercepted'. They reveal that several hundred thousand Imperial American Dollars were shipped across the border and into Czechoslovakia for the purpose of rebelling against you."

He pulls several more out.

"These are records of Russian Arms smuggled across the border."

And several more.

"These are the names of prominent Russian officers and politicians showing their support for the Slavic uprisings."

Budapest, Hungary. September 7th, 2059.

Carolus looks through the evidence, bewildered at what the Russians have been doing to undermine his government. "Antonius. This is war by the Russians." He says, flipping through photos and phone conversations. "There is nothing else we can do to stop this than completely destroying the Slavic Homelands."

Imperial Palace, Nevermore, the Imperial Republic of America. September 7th, 2059.

The Emperor and Minister of War Caballus were playing a rousing game of chess when the Minister of the Media entered the Imperial Staterooms. He bowed as was custom.

"Your Imperial Majesty Lucius, His Imperial Majesty Carolus Victorus is set to give a public announcement in 10 minutes."

The Emperor smiled softly, putting his Knight into position.

"That would be checkmate, my dear Caballus. Yes, turn the screen on."

Russia
*In recent weeks, Russia has been put on alert. What little remains of its military has been sent to guard its borders with Vergenskia, Estonia, Ukraine, and Finland. It seemed war was imminent. Propoganda was being used all over Russia, to instill a sense of patriotism in the country. People all over the country where preparing themselves for a war. Meanwhile Russian meterologists where warning Russians that this coming winter would prove to be a rather cold one.*

Turkey
*Turkish troops where also on high alert. Most people believed that Turkey was outside the Emperors dream of an Eastern European empire, but with Turkey being a part of NATO and on the border with Vergenskia proper, many where fearing that an invasion of Turkey could happen. While preparing for war, the Turkish government had also decided it would send weapons to Turkish rebels in Eastern Thrace, a part of Turkey conquered by the Vergenskians long ago.*

Southern Slovakia
*the men walked through the village, it was a ghost town. Nobody was outside for fear of Vergenskian troops or secret agents. The man lead the group into a house where they heard people talking in Slovak.*
???: "Je mi jedno, či to je nemožné Chcem tento povstanie začať čoskoro!"
Man: "Sir?"
*The General looked around and saw the group.*
General: "Kto sú oni?"
Man: "Sú to americké, britské a ruskej špeciálny agenti uväznené za uhorských líniou, žiadajú našu pomoc, aby sa do Prahy."
General: "Hmm. Secret agents huh?"
Jackson: "Yes sir, we are agents who support the Slovak resistance. We have come here looking for your help so that we can get to Prague and escape back home."
General: "And why should we help you?"
Jay: "We can get you guys support. We could be able to convince our governments to send you weapons."
General: "You'll need to prove your loyalty first before I can help you."
Vermaak: "How so?"
General: "There is a village not too far from here. It used to be a stronghold for the resistance but has since come under enemy hands. Massacares go on there every day and we where planning an assault on there soon. If you can help us drive the Vergenskians out of there, we could help you."

Buda Castle, Budapest, Hungary. September 7th, 2059

The Emperor steps out onto the balcony, over-looking the courtyard. He waves to the adoring people of his nation. He lets them cheer as he tests the microphone in front of him. Eventually, as the crowd's roar dies down, Emperor Carolus Victorus speaks to the people of Hungary.

"Ladies, Gentlemen, Brothers and Sisters; lend me your ears. The people's Emperor must speak to you. I have many orders of business to announce to you. The first is that I have yet to find my Empress. So with that said and known, I must say that with a very happy heart that I proclaim my eldest sister: Felícia Mészáros as the legal heir to the Hungarian throne."

The new heir walks up from behind her younger brother and stands next to him. "And with this crown, I proclaim you Crown Princess of The Hungarian Empire." Carolus says while placing an extravagant tiara upon her bright blonde head. The crowd goes wild as she steps up to the microphone.

"Thank you. Thank you all." She says, modestly. "It is an incredible honor to be your Princess. And I will serve you justly." She continues before stepping back to just behind her brother.

"And now my people, there is a much more pressing matter that must be attended to. It has to deal with the unruly Slavs that are attempting to destroy our perfect union. I have received disturbing evidence on who is funding these massacres of the Hungarian, Romanian, Bulgar, Albanian and Greek peoples of our nation. None other than the Kingdom of the Slavs, Russia. They wish to undermine our government and destroy us all! People of Hungary, I ask you to support me. Support our Empire in a war against this evil."

The crowd starts chanting "War! War! War!" As the crowd gets louder and louder, Carolus raises his hand to the crowd in a Roman salute, only making the crowd wilder. "Thank you my people! We shall crusade for our nation! To war! Jégeső Magyarországon!"

As the camera panned to the chanting Hungarian crowds, the Emperor gave a bit of an evil laugh.

"Turn it off, Minister, we've seen enough of that."

Lucius stands, the chess game over with a victory for him.

"It would make sense to address the people over this. After the Hungarians officially declare war, that is"

Moscow, Russia
*President Harkov and his cabinent watch the speech by the Emperor. His advisers began to freak out after the speech. They yelled and swore and tried to talk to Harkov. Harkov meanwhile just sat back and relaxed, watching the screen unfazed. All was going according to his plan. When his advisers weren't looking, a small smile crept over his face.*

NATO HQ, Brussels
*A while after the speech, NATO releases a statement saying that the organization shall support Russia in the event of war and that an invasion of Russia could lead to a restart of the NATO-Vergenskian war.*

Slovakia
*The men got in the car. The convoy began to move towards the town. They where dressed in military outfits. Vermaak sat in the back and loaded bullets into his magazine. He looked angry.*
Jay: "You alright there?"
Vermaak: "yeah. Just cant wait to put bullets through those bastards."

Imperial Palace, Nevermore, the Imperial Republic of America. September 7th, 2059.

The Minister of War stood after the T.V went dark to leave, before being held back by the Emperor.

"Caballus, you are being sent to Moscow; your bags are already packed and the plane is ready to leave. Read this packet on the 5 hours trip there."

The Minister bows and departs as directed. As soon as he exits, another officer enters the Office. The officer is young, maybe about 35, wearing the insignia of a General. He bows respectively to Lucius, who in turn smiles at the new arrival.

"Ah, Count Hannibal von Kurtz, I am happy to see you. You have your instructions?"

"I do, Your Imperial Majesty."

As he leaves, the Emperor sits alone, taking a small marionette from the table and playing with it.

NATO HQ, Brussels

General von Kurtz's plane lands within sight of the HQ. He shows the Seal of the Imperial Family, revealing him to be the Emperor's envoy to NATO.

Moscow, Russia

Minister of War Caballus' jet likewise lands in the Red Square, where his meeting with President Harkov is scheduled.

*Kowalski and his entourage meet the general outside the building. Kowalski salutes the General.*
Kowalski: "Good evening General. How may NATO be of assistance to you today?"

Moscow, Russia
*The Minister is brought in to Harkov's office. It was odd for a westerner to see the Russian President's office. Inside the office was a painting of Lenin, Also in the office around his desk was the flags of Russia and the former USSR. A globe of the world sat on his desk. Also on the desk was a display of army metals from his service in the Third World War. There was a large window behind his desk. Harkov was watching out the window. He turned around and saw the Minister and smiled slightly.*
Harkov: "Ah, hello there Minister Caballus. How are you today? Would you care for a cup of tea? I can have Alexi over there bring us a good cup."

The General returns the salute.

"I have been sent as the Emperor's eyes, ears, and voice to NATO, and as such, the threat of war another war against Hungary is the topic. NATO and my Empire have not always agreed, but in these troubled times, we must work together"

Moscow, Russia

Caballus smiles

"Of course, thank you, your Excellency. Now, I have come today to serve as the Emperor's eyes, ears, and voice. The threat of war with Hungary interests him, and though our nations have not always been on good terms, it is time to start fresh."

Buda Castle, Budapest, Hungary. September 7th, 2059.

The Emperor proudly marches from the balcony and says to Colonel Mezey, "Initiate construction." The Head of the Imperial Guard bows and goes on his way.

"Come, General Kereshtur, we have no time to waste. Ready the troops and armor. We're heading East. And hold the western front. We know not what the NATO Alliance will do on our attack on the Slavic Kingdom."

The Emperor smiles in a sadistic manner, "The Slavs will no longer be a problem in our Nagy Biroladom."

Kowalski: "Of course sir. Here, follow me inside and we shall discuss more." *He began to lead the General into the building.* "Now, are you proposing a formal alliance between the Empire and possibly France and NATO?"

Moscow, Russia
Harkov: "One second sir. Alexai!"
*The man named Alexai entered the room. He looked more like a general then a secretary.* "Yes sir?"
Harkov: "Bring me and Mister Caballus here some tea please. And make it fast."
Alexai: *He nodded and left.*
Harkov: "Now, back to the matter at hand. Russia would love for closer relations with the West. The Americas are of special interest to us. We view the Americas as good friends and wish to improve relations between us two. However, Hungary stands in the way of this. We know that Britanania and Hungary have an alliance. However, we believe it would be in both of our best interests for that alliance to end because, well, lets face it. Hungary will not last for very long. Soon the armies of Europe will march on Budapest. The rest of the world is moving away from Hungary, as should Britanania and our good friends France."
Alexai: *He returned with the tea and poured it in the two men's cups.*
Harkov: "Thank you Alexai, you are dismissed."
Alexai: *He bowed and left.*

*In unoccupied Poland, the troops began to amass. The recent speech from the Hungarian Emperor and fired up the Poles. They where now determined to destroy Hungary. They also wished to free their friends in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.*

"At this point, Mr. Kowalski, a formal alliance will not be possible. The Empire would like to remain officially neutral, but assistance shall be granted covertly. Also, it would not be in NATO's best interest to go to war with Hungary right now. So soon after the last conflict, and NATO still needs more time to prepare its defenses. Now, when war does come, most of the Hungarian army will be bogged down in Russia. That is the perfect time to strike."

Moscow, Russia

"Thank you."

Caballus sips the tea as he ponders the President's words.

"Of course, of course, your Excellency. Now, immediately, we cannot officially join in an alliance with Russia, however, after the Hungarian armies invade and are utterly crushed, out forces will rush into Hungary proper and cement our new alliance. In the meantime, secretly, we supply your men. I have already brought shipments of our latest rifles and small arms, enough to arm 10,000 Russians"

Kowalski: "That is true. We do believe that a Hungarian invasion of Russia will take a while, especially with Winter about to hit Russia. We have been mapping out invasion plans. However, even with Winter and the vastness of Russia...we must fear the possiblity of a swift Hungarian victory. As we've seen in previous Russo-Hungarian wars, the Hungarians struck fast and efficiently. With only 10,000 men in the Russian army...things might not look so good."

Moscow, Russia
Harkov: *he smiled slightly and looked down.* "10,000 men and some rifles will not save Russia. Sadly I must face the truth, Hungary will take Russia." *He walked stood up and walked over to a book case, on it was a picture of a woman.* "The last invasion of Russia was terrible for the Russian people. We lost so many men, women, and children. And at that time Hungary was ruled by a man with some restraint. This time...we are facing a repeat of the Great Patriotic War. I'm not trying to gain sympathy for Russia Minister, I'm just saying that if Hungary is not stopped soon, all of Europe will feel the madman's wrath. I thank you for the arms shipments and hope that they will be put to good use." *He finished his tea and picked up some things.* "You are welcome to stay here Caballus. As for me, I am going to rest. Help yourself to some more tea. If you decide to stay, Alexai will show you to your room. Take care Caballus." *and with that Harkov left.*

"Very well. As it is inevitable, can we ask you to hold back until Moscow falls?"

Moscow, Russia

Caballus sat in the dark room for a few minutes, until he finished his tea. He then visited the Imperial Ambassador in Moscow before returning to his jet for his return home.
