Kabul, Afghanistan. 15 February
*Afghanistan had been quiet for the past month or so. There had been no major attacks anywhere. Then, Liberation Day came again. The day started out nice and quiet. Nothing seemed to be happening. Then suddenly, just outside of the city, the attack came. Shots were heard from right outside the city. Thousands of Afghan communists had begun their attack. They were supported by several tanks, an old Russian attack helicopter, and a few older Storm models. They were determined to either liberate the city..or die.*

Kabul, Afghanistan. 15 February

Alarms were sounded throughout the city. Jets were scrambled to counter attack any air power the Afghans may have, the National Guard set up barricades and defenses as the ACU moved in to attack whilst the Mekhon were scrambled where they were needed

Kabul, Afghanistan. 15 February

Imperial Artillery returned fire at the rebels, while the fighters fired rockets down upon them when they were not engaged, but quickly destroyed the chopper. The Mekhon tore through the tanks easily enough, the storms were a bit more difficult and required more concentrated Mekhon support.

Afghanistan
*While fighting raged in Kabul, other cities around the country were also hit by large scale attacks. It seemed to be a scene taken straight out of the Tet Offensive of Vietnam. Thousands of Afghans just flung themselves at the Imperials. They didn't use modern Eurasian weapons, but it was clear that the weapons used were older, Russian weapons.*

Afghanistan

Despite using overwhelming numbers, the Afghan rebels lacked the weaponry the Imperials wielded. The slaughter was total. The Imperial forces suffered little casualties, but the attacks continued

Afghanistan
*The attacks continued for a few months before they were finally put down. In the end, the Afghans had been massacred. Thousands died and it seemed that the Rebellion had died with it. There had been no attacks reported in Afghanistan for some time after the Offensive. Some rebels still existed, however, they didn't have the numbers, nor the power to pull off another large scale attack.*

Cape Town, South Africa
*Sandler and Rojas sat in a Cape Town cafe. They watched the sunset over the ocean. For once, both men knew peace. They had decided that they would take a break from the World Wide revolution...even if miles away in Pretoria there was a Communist rebellion underway. Cape Town seemed rather peaceful at this time. Rojas sipped his beer.*
Rojas: "So. What do we do about Afghanistan?"
Sandler: "Militarily, there is nothing we can do. The Rebellion is over. The Afghans can't make anymore attacks."
Rojas: "So now what?"
Sandler: *He looked at his watch* "Agent Babayev should be handing video footage of the Imperial Massacre of Afghans during the offensive to Mikhail right now. Soon, the world will know of the atrocities that the Imperials committed. This will only serve to strengthen the revolts in the Empire."
Rojas: "Excellent. Maybe we will see the Empire collapse before we die."
Sandler: "Maybe...maybe."

Late 2092

The majority of the rebellions had been put down, thanks to the arrival of French Imperial forces who now assisted in the occupation of the nation, and almost three million Afghans were killed in the uprising.

News of the final battles spread quickly, causing much discontent in the Empire, but Shere Khan put an end to that by imposing full martial law throughout the Empire. Moreover, riots were put out with incredible speed and tenacity that bordered on barbaric, and his Secret Police gave him information on every person living in the Empire. However, by December of 2092, with economic woes, most stopped fighting about the Afghan war and were focused on Khan's economic policies that were coming to fruition, if slowly

Cyprus, 2092
*Only a few states in Eastern Europe remained outside of Communist control by 2092. Greece and Turkey were part of the Pact of Steel, and Georgia and Cyprus were just not targets for Communist expansion...until now. Since the return of the Monarchy in Greece, there had been calls by the Greeks to have Greece annex Cyprus...much to Turkey's dismay. The Communists however, could not have Greece expand. So, they decided to target Cyprus next. Several Eurasian KGB agents were sent to the island...to make sure the Communist party won the next elections.*

New Warsaw Pact
*The members of the New Warsaw Pact sent their official condemnation of the Empire out. They began labelling the Empire as a Fourth Reich. Many nations severed relations with the Empire due to the new policies of Shere Khan and the treatment of Afghans in the war.*

Late 2092

The Pact of Steel sent some agents to Cyprus, but not nearly enough to stop the spread of Communism on the Island. In response to the EF's blatant expansionism, the Pact cut all ties and trade to not only the NWP, but any Communist nation or any nations supporting Communism. In the U.K, France, and Germany, Communist and Socialist Parties were banned, and in France Conscription was brought back; all men from 18-24 were required to serve 2 years in Active Service and 4 in the Reserves.

In the Empire, Khan's policies were taking full effect, dramatically lowering unemployment but restrictions on liberties remained. Rationing of food and supplies continued. Khan also turned Nevermore into a fortress, using the public works project to turn the area around the Palaces of the Marshals, Parliament, and the Imperial Palace into a Roman Style Citadel, and began construction of the Imperial Security Building, the HQ of the Secret Police and the Royal Guard.

Factories have been raised and are moving at full capacity, King Ramu looked over them personally, while Queen Felicia took care of the International dealings.

The King entered his wife's hall and spoke aloud, "At this rate, we will be able to have a military the size of 4 million by the end of the year." Felicia turned and smiled, "We will get our homes back, Ramu. No longer will our people have to live where they never wanted to... And we can finally go home.. Bring the kids with us and live like we used to. Before all of this." A tear came to her eye.

*Ryan Corrigan sat in his bed. He was back at the home of his childhood. Recently, he had gotten very ill. It was expected he didn't have much time left. His family had remained at his side for a long time. Now it was known he didn't have much time left. On November 5th, 2092, Ryan Corrigan met with his family for the last time. His children stood at his side, his wife was there too and the Grandkids.*
Ryan Corrigan: "Hello my family. I think that this is my last day on Earth. I want to thank you for making my life great. All of you, I couldn't have asked for a better life. Make the world a better place. I love you all."
*With those last words, Ryan Corrigan died.*

East America
*The news of President Corrigan's death was broadcast throughout the nation. A National Day of Mourning was declared. The Government announced a state funeral would be held in Washington within a few days.*

Pact of Steel

Following former President Ryan Corrigan's death, all nations in the Pact of Steel issued a seven day period of mourning for the great man, the last leader from the generation that shaped the modern world. Shere Khan announced he would attend the funeral, despite the rest of the world's hatred of the nearly Fascist Dictator

New Buda, Skåne, Sweden

A messenger ran in, handing Felicia a note. The Queen opened it and gasped, putting her hand to her mouth, and a tear runs down her face... Her father's friend and a man she knew well, Ryan Corrigan of The Federation had died.

Later that day, she announced that the Royal Family would travel to America to attend the funeral.

*Days later, a state funeral was held for Ryan Corrigan. World Leaders and some of Corrigan's closest living friends were invited. President Nicolas Corrigan was to give the Eulogy.*
Nicolas: "Hello citizens of the Federation of East America and of other countries around the world. We are gathered here today to mourn the loss of A Hero, a Friend, and a great father. Ryan Corrigan believed in Peace and Democracy around the world. He wanted to make sure that all people around the world had the basic human rights they deserved. Sadly, he did not live to see his dream come true. Today we remember the man who preserved the ideas of freedom, even when it seemed that freedom had died. We will always remember him for what he did for this country, and what he did for the world. Before he died, my father told me to make the world a better place. I am too old to do such a task...but I invite all of you to try and finish this task. But today, let us mourn the loss of the President of the Federation of East America, Commander in Chief of the East American Army, Duke of Montana, Ryan Patrick Corrigan Sr."
*The National Anthem of East America began to play as Nick Corrigan stepped off the stage. In the crowd sat many world leaders, including Beria and Alvarez. Also there was Jackson, Vermaak, and even Sandler was there, in secret of course.*

Shere Khan and some of his prolific supporters were with him at the funeral. Khan had great respect for Corrigan; he had studied his campaigns with the First Emperor of America during Khan's days at the Imperial Military Academy. However, Khan now realised that the Great Generation had now all passed, and most of their children were gone, and even among his generation people were dying off.

*In the crowd sat two old men. They both seemed to be in their 90s. It was sad for them, to lose such a good friend. Ryan Corrigan had helped them a lot. He even allowed for them to get back into East America, to live out the rest of their lives.*
Man 1: "It's a sad day...to lose our good friend."
Man 2: "I'll never forget him...even if we don't have much time left to remember."

With most of the formalities finished, Shere Khan planned to leave soon, until he caught sight of Beria. He marched up to his EF counterpart and shook his hand

Nevermore, 2022

His Imperial Majesty Emperor Napoleon was reading a rather lengthy tome on the Roman Empire when the door to his study opened, revealing Marshal Tarkin.

"Your Majesty, our reports from the Levant indicate that the fighting between Lebanon and Syria has escalated further. There are rumours of not only the use of chemical weapons, but a fear that Syria has a nuclear weapon."

The young monarch did not even look up from his book. He continued reading, in his own world, until he put the book down.

"Release a statement that the use of illegal weapons from both sides is a violation of international law and that our forces are coming."

The Prince bowed and was ready to depart when the Emperor stopped him.

"Also, William, inform the Lebanese General Haidar that I have received his message, and his coup may begin."

Lebanon, 2022
*The two men watched as the news came that the Imperials were going to strike.*
Ivanov: "So, what are we going to do about this?"
*Just then, Johnson's phone rang. He answered it and talked to the caller. After a few moments, he hung up.*
Johnson: "Well, it seems like we are going to have to investigate the Imperials when they get here, and help arm the opposition to them."
Ivanov: "And where are we going to get the weapons for this?"
Johnson: "Where else do rebels get weapons?"
Ivanov: "I was afraid you were going to say that."
Johnson: "What? Don't want to go home?"
Ivanov: "Not neccessarily. I'm not well liked over there."
Johnson: "Don't worry. We'll just get the weapons shipped into Turkey, say it's for the Kurds, and then get out of the weapons out of Turkey and into the hands of the Syrians and Lebanese. Simple."
Ivanov: "You say that like it's part of your daily routine."

Beirut, Lebanon

When the news hit that the Empire was coming to end the fighting, riots erupted over the capital. The current President, a Hezbollah extremist, was becoming more unpopular with his war against Syria and his restrictions on most liberties. General Osman Haidar was sent with his Division to keep order around Beirut, but once his troops entered the city, they quickly arrested the President for crimes against Lebanon and made Haidar the new leader.

Beria: *He raised an eyebrow.* "Communist Revolution? I have no idea what you are talking about. If you are talking about the uprisings in Cuba, just know that Eurasia has had nothing to do with those."

Syrian Kurdistan
*For the moment, life in Syrian Kurdistan had been relatively unaffected by the invasion. Johnson and Ivanov smuggled the weapons into Syria through here. They met up with a General in the Syrian Army, General El-Hashem.*
El-Hashem: "Thank you. These weapons will be put to good use."
Johnson: "No Problem. And they should help you. These are some of the most up to date Russian weapons."
El-Hashem: "Good thing. Though I don't know how long Syria will be able to hold out. The Imperials took Canada and the rest of the America's so quickly. Syria will not last."
Johnson: "But you might be able to hurt the Empire. Now, Viktor and I have to go and take care of some buisness in Lebanon. Good luck El-Hashem."
El-Hashem: "Thank you my friends."
*The two got in their car and drove off.*
Johnson: "Now, we go and kill Haider."

He smiled again.

"Just how the EF never assisted the Afghans?"

Lebanese-Syrian Border

The invasion was in two parts; the southern invasion force would take out Damascus after heavy bombing and artillery strikes whilst the second force would drive north towards Homs and subjugate the North, also with a heavy bombing campaign. The Imperials hoped to cut Syria in half and take Damascus in less than two weeks, ending any chance for reinforcements.

The main Imperial Armour for this was a state of the art Tank referred to as the mecha. It was a massive tank, but moved at close to 80 km/h off road

Beria: *he couldn't help but smile a bit.* "Eurasia had nothing to do with Afghanistan. We are still trying to figure out how those weapons got to the Afghans. We would never imagine destroying the Empire. We are too busy continuing to build Eastern Europe, the new Center of the World."

Lebanon, 2022
*Johnson and Ivanov watched the Presidential building from their building. Ivanov watched through his binoculars.*
Ivanov: "Haider should still be in there. If we are going to take him out...now is the time to do so."
Johnson: "Haider's death would destablize Lebanon. It won't do much to stop the Imperial attack on Syria though."
Ivanov: "We'll deal with them later. For now, let's just focus on Lebanon."
