*The news came to Sandler fast. Gupta was alive, but badly hurt.*
Sandler: *he sighed.* "Well, it should at least keep Gupta from returning to Afghanistan any time soon. Now we may be able to strike a blow to the Imperials here."
Babayev: "And it appears the assault on Rio is going quite well." *He pointed to the TV, showing the battle in Rio.*

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
*The battle was becoming one of the largest in the countries history. Fires raged throughout the city as the Military Police tried to retake control over the city. Large parts of the city had fallen to the Communists and the Military Police had been pushed back, towards the beech.*

New Delhi, Dominion of India

Gupta was put in extensive care and massive surgery would be required, but he was able to get a few order out; destroy Afghanistan. His orders were relayed to his forces there, and his commanders interpreted it simply: each Afghan would take an oath of loyalty to the Crown, and those who didn't would be arrested for questioning. What the people didn't here was that those called into questioning were tortured for information and often killed.

*Sandler had a feeling he knew what was going on. For days, many of his men had simply dissappeared. Those who got away only got away by lying.*
Sandler: "Gupta want's to destroy the Afghans. I think it is time to begin an assault on Kabul."
Babayev: "How sir?"
Sandler: "Obviously Rojas was able to do it, and looked how that turned out. Get our forces ready."

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
*The Battle raged for several days until eventually the government had the Military Police pull out of the city. The Communists had overran the city. Now, Rio was in Communist hands. The rebels proclaimed a new government in Rio and claimed it as the sole legitimate government of the "People's Federative Republic of Brazil". They vowed they would march on Brasilia.*

Afghanistan

As Gupta's plan was commenced, plans were also made to secretly poison all the water supplies in the country, allowing only those loyal to the State to drink safe water imported by the military. The ACU were also sent into villages and massacred who population who disobeyed.

Nevermore

The Imperium issued a direct statement claiming the war in Afghanistan was out of their hands and the Dominion of India and General Gupta were the sole parties involved in it. However, what was not stated was that Gupta's forces were under orders to remain there until order was restored

Queen Felicia sits upon the throne and says simply to Commander Eszterhazy, "The light may heal, but it can also burn. Release Apollo for its first combat missions." Commander Eszterhazy nods and darts from the room. Just then, The Queen reaches for the telephone and phones in Nevermore...

Marshal Hamilton, acting representative of the Imperium, answers the phone

"Your Highness, to what do I owe this honour? I pray the situation in Hungary is favourable."

"It seems quite the opposite, Uram Hamilton. The Communist Hordes are pouring over the borders. The future seems bleak. We lack the manpower to fight such a war. I beg for the Empire's assistance, or your last foothold in the East of Europe will be lost."

North Hungary

Newly designed Swedish JAS 38 jets crash through the air, with a new nosepiece. The front glared like the sun, before setting off a tremendous burst of concentrated energy, decimating armor and burning men to ash. But with each blast, the jets were forced to rebase, to regain their energy.

After several strikes of this sort and seemed successful, the jets were transported to the South. To engage the Eurasian Navy.

Nevermore

Hamilton's face grew dark. He certainly felt obligated to assist Hungary against the EF, however, the Empire was dealing with a massive revolt in Afghanistan and communist revolutions on his borders, not to mention a precarious position at home with the Imperium attempting to legitimise its rule. An unpopular war could mean disaster, but Hungary was an old ally of the Empire.

"Your Highness, we will negotiate with the Russians. We will get them to back off." He motioned for his aide to contact Makarov, informing him to meet in Moscow with the FEA President

"Damn it, Hamilton. You know who these people are. They are barbarians, destroying anything that stands in their way in the guise of peace. Negotiations will get you nothing! Our men are well trained and the borders, heavily fortified. But that means nothing compared to the reports we're getting. 20,000 men will NOT stand up to these ruthless machines."

"Your Highness, I can have the French Imperial Army send their forces, but at the same time I will attempt negotiations. The French should be enough to have Makarov back off."

"Bless you, Uram. Bless your soul. The Bastion will hold strong until you arrive. We are still Magyars. Some of the best trained soldiers in the world."

Moscow, Eurasia
*Makarov watched the live feed from the battlefield. The Advance was going well. Eurasian and Bulgarian forces were making gains in Romania while the rest were doing good in Hungary. However, he had seen the Hungarians new fighter jet and what it had done.*
Makarov: "I want the Airforce to focus on that jet. Bring it done in anyway possible. Meanwhile, have the rest of the Airforce focus on bombing Budapest. Don't destroy the castle or parliament building. I want Queen Felicia alive."
Alexai: "Sir. We got a message from the Imperials. Apparently they are coming to Moscow with the American President to discuss peace in Europe."
Makarov: "Send a a reply, Eurasia welcomes the leaders to Moscow and would be willing to discuss a peace. Meanwhile, order the Navy to launch missiles at Bucharest."
Alexai: "Aye sir."

Hungary and Romania
*The Eastern Europeans drove deep into both countries. They made significant territorial gains in Romania and were continuing the drive into Hungary. The Hungarians put up a strong fight, but they could only hold out for so long. Meanwhile, Eurasian Railgun tanks entered the battlefield as Czechoslovak and Polish Storms followed behind them. The Storms were a new model, updated with Railguns and more effective firepower.*

Hamilton and some other members of the Imperium arrived at Budapest on their way to Moscow. The French forces he had promised had also arrived in the city and were setting up defenses for the inevitable battle there. Hamilton went straight to the Castle, as he had received word that the a new Hungarian super weapon was finished

The Queen and the Prince stand inside the castle, waiting for Hamilton to enter, with their escorts. Erno notices how worried his mother is and grabs her hand. "Mother, we will be okay." Erno says to his mother, standing by her side. "Our righteous truth will defeat their need for silence."

Black Sea

Roaring from the mountains the Apollo jets storm the ships, firing the new "energy cannons" and absolutely devastating the fleet. Leaving massive, burning holes in the hulls and destroying other aircraft and cannon on the deck.

Hamilton's eyes grew wide as he and the Imperium watched the Apollos on screen in the Castle.

"Impressive, Your Highness. Had your brother possessed this technology, a green and red flag would hand over Nevermore."

He shifted uncomfortably.

"Will you be joining us at the talk in Moscow?"

"He was the one who started the project. And I thank God for him not to have finished it, but I who did. The world would have been in flames..." Felicia says, solemnly. "And I will not be joining you in Moscow. I am much too afraid that I or my children's lives would be at a great risk."

Moscow, Eurasia
*Makarov watched Budapest on his screen. He saw Hamilton there.*
Makarov: "Do not attack Budapest yet. We can not have an Imperial killed."
Alexai: "Sir? It appears that the American President has arrived."
Makarov: "Ah, escort him here."

Black Sea
*A squadron of Eurasian jets spotted their target.*
Pilot: "Цель заметили. Переключение на теплочувствительной ракетой. Приготовьтесь к огне ... огонь!"
*The jet's fired their first missiles at the Appollo jets. The missiles hit several of the Apollo's, destroying them.*
Pilot: "Хороший удар, хороший удар. Подготовка к второй раунд стрельбы."
*Meanwhile, an Eurasian submarine surfaced. It's missile pods opened. Several missiles were fired, heading straight for Bucharest.*

He nodded.

"Very well. You will hold here, and I will do what I can there."

Moscow, EF

Thankfully the Imperium arrived at Moscow unmolested. Hamilton did not like being in Moscow. It had an odd feel to it. Yet nonetheless, he and some of the other members of the Imperium arrived at Makarov's Office

Black Sea

"Húzza vissza, és kapcsolja célokat. A rakéták meg kell semmisíteni." A pilot says, after watching an Apollo Jet detonate next to him, and watch the submarine. The jet whips around and fires at a missile, destroying it in mid-air. And the other, remaining jets follow suit.

Budapest, Hungary.

Felicia watches the jets roar over-head and just mutters, "Godspeed, men. Godspeed."

*The Eurasians see the Apollo's change course.*
Pilot: "Защитите ракеты! Уничтожить венгерских самолетов! Блокировка второй ракеты. Готовые ... Пожар Пожар Пожар!"
*The Eurasian jets fired their second missiles at the Apollo's, destroying a few more.*

Moscow, Eurasia
*The Imperium was meet by Corrigan and Makarov who were sitting in Makarov's office, enjoying a drink.*
Corrigan: "Так вот, я говорю ему ..."
Makarov: "Ah! The Imperium is here! I am glad to see you could make it to our little meeting. Umm...this Office is probably too small for us all. Here, let's go down to the War Room, shall we?"
*He got up and motioned for the men to follow. They got to an elevator and made their way down into the war room. The War Room was a huge, underground, state of the art room with the latest technology available everywhere. In the Center was a large holographic map of the world. Makarov lead the men into a seperate room and had Alexai fetch them all drinks.*
Makarov: "So, what can Eurasia do for you today?"

Eurasian War Room

Hamilton begun right away.

"Obviously, as the Kingdoms of Hungary and Romania-Moldova are member states of the Pact of Steel, the Imperial Republic of America is bound to assist them in military conflict. However, recent events have caused the Imperium, as the current ruling body of the Empire, to draw back from international conflict that does not directly involve the Empire or the Empire of the French. Therefore, we ask for a peaceful way to end your conflict with Hungary."

Eurasian War Room
Makarov: "The Hungarians are the ones who brought this war upon themselves. Eurasia has always pledged that we will not allow another war like the Hungarian wars to happen again. We pledged that if Hungary tried to reclaim any part of Eastern Europe, we would strike them down, so, we have. If there is anyone who should be asking for peace, it is the Hungarians, not the Empire or East America. The only way this war will end is with a new government in Hungary and Romania. Not neccessarily a Communist government, but a neutral, democratic government, free of ethnic nationalism and the ideas of expansionism."

Hamilton bit his lower lip. This was not going well.

"Felicia will never go for that. Is there any other alternative?"

Makarov: "I'm sorry, it's the only way. We must make sure we never have to face that fear again."
Corrigan: "What if we allowed for Felicia to abdicate in Hungary, and go to neutral Sweden to become their monarch? The Swedish have been without a Monarch for some time now...With Felicia being a member of the Swedish royal family she could stake a claim as the Queen. Plus, in Sweden the Queen is merely a figurehead and the country is officially neutral. I don't believe she, or any ruler after her, would be much harm to the rest of the world."
Makarov: "Sweden is close to our ally Finland. They could try to take Finland, and then move onto Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Estonia...and then, Karelia, Murmansk...and even St. Petersburg..."
Corrigan: "I know it is not the best solution...but it's a pretty good one..."
Makarov: "I don't want to go to that solution. That would ensure that the Fascist monarchs still rule over territory...they could end that neutrality and give the Swedish monarch real power...We've seen them do it before...who's to say they won't do it again?"

[Britanania]

Eurasian War Room

"Because Sweden is not a nation known for its nationalism and expansionism. They would never go with a leader who would propose war, especially not after their defeat 32 years prior. Moreover, the Swedish military is virtually non-existent."

He paused.

"The Empire will look past this entire enterprise if the EF agrees." The Empire may be weak, but it was still one of the most formidable forces in the world.
