15 August 2080. Mausoleo Domus Britanania
*The Corrigan family sat silently. It was a terrible blow to them to lose such a good friend. Jackson, Vermaak, Vivian, and Jackson's friend also sat quietly. Jackson and his friend had great admiration for Lucius. Jackson's friend said something quietly.*
Jackson: *He whispered* "What did you say?"
Man: *His friend whispered back.* "I remember his father's funeral...I had hoped I would never have to see the death of such a good friend."

Nevermore,15 August 2080.

Immediately after the Emperor's Entombment, the procession began for Alexander's Coronation. The Prince Napoleon decided on a simple procession and Coronation Mass, overseen by His Holiness Pope Anthony. Per Imperial Tradition , prior to the Offertory, Alexander rose and kneeled before the Altar, where the Pope blessed the Imperial Regalia, consisting of the Imperial Crown, Sword, Sceptre, and Globus cruciger, before putting chrism on Alexander's forehead. The 21 year old man rises and faces the people, placing the Crown on his head, grabbing the Sword and Sceptre in his right hand and placing his left on the Globus cruciger.

"We swear to maintain the integrity of the Republic, to respect and enforce the Imperial Constitution of the Imperial Republic of America, to govern in the sole interest, happiness, and glory of the American people and all people of our realms"

The Choir erupted into the Te Deum as the Pope cries out "Vivat imperator in aeternum!”

When the Mass had been completed, Alexander goes out to greet his people, where they shout “Deus imperatoris nostri salvum”

Nevermore,15 August 2080.

The triumphant new Emperor waved the vast crowds as the Choir sang the Imperial Anthem, God Save Our Emperor as Alexander entered his carriage, returning to the Palatio Imperatores, where preparations were in place for his coronations in France, Spain, and Italy, as well as his Enthronement in Japan.

Palatio Imperatores, 2081

The 22 year old Emperor was reading some new laws to sign when Grand Vizier Tarkin entered and bowed.

"Your Imperial Majesty, there is something you must see."

He switched the television on, with news broadcasting from Konigsburg. There were riots, led by the Communist Party, against the Republican Regime.

"Prussia is succumbing to Civil War, and I have no doubt that the EF will use this to prop up another Communist regime."

Koingsburg, Prussia
*In the city, there was a riot underway. It was being performed by the Communist party which was made up of mostly the Slavic population in the country. They were fighting against the Republican forces and Pro-German forces in the country. The Communists feared that the government would move towards re-unification with Germany. There were similar riots underway in other cities in the tiny country. It was believed that the KGB was involved in the uprisings.*

Berlin, Germany
*Mikhail sat in a Berlin restraunt, enjoying his meal. He was reading the newspaper as well, it was showing the violence in Prussia. He smiled as he read it. After the coup against Harkov, Orlov gave Mikhail a pardon and was allowed back into the country where he joined the KGB. He had then been assigned on mission in Germany, to scout out the new government.*

Palatio Imperatores

"Shut it off, Your Eminence." When Tarkin did so, the Emperor pinching the bridge of his nose.

"Give a call to His Excellency the President of Germany. He will be better able to deal with this."

Berlin, Germany

President Frederick Finck von Finckenstein watched the developments in Prussia with keen interest. When Austria united with Germany, it gave hope to millions of Germans that they would live to see a true German State arise, a union of all German Europeans. The events in Prussia furthered this belief. The President's conversation with the Imperial Grand Vizier further cemented this. Afterwards, he set up a news conference.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, the news arriving from Prussia are disheartening and disturbing. It hurts me to see that our fellow Germans are suffering under civil unrest. It is for this reason that the Republic of Germany is sending troops to assist the Republican Government of Prussia."

Berlin, Germany
*Mikhail watched the news conference. When he heard that Germany was going to send troops to Prussia, he dropped his coffee cup. He quickly paid for his lunch and ran out. He had to get the message to Moscow and their allies in Prussia fast.*

Moscow, Eurasia
*The message was received. Germany was going into Prussia. Orlov sat silently, then he spoke.*
Orlov: "Get me on line with President Szewc!"

Warsaw, Poland
*Polish President Szewc got an urgent call from Moscow. Orlov told him of the impending attack on Prussia and gave him suggestions on what to do. After the call, Szewc ordered the navy to be sent out and the army to be deployed toward the German border. They would not allow Germany to get into Prussia.*

German Airspace

The German air force, full of new and experimental fighters and bombers, took off towards Prussia. As the squadrons neared Poland, they requested permission to go through Polish airspace.

North Sea

German ships were loaded with soldiers and sailed towards Prussia

Polish Airspace
*The request for safe passage through Poland was received by the Poles. The message the Germans got from the Poles wasn't the one they wanted.*
Operator: "Negative. An incursion into Polish airspace will be considered an act of war. Request you turn around now and return to Germany before we are forced to use our own airforce.*

North Sea
*Polish warships were deployed to the North Sea to stop the Germans. They sent messages to the German ships to cease operations and return to Germany.*

Polish Airspace

The Germans ignored the order and continued to their destination. They knew the Polish military was in no way capable of making such a threat, with the massive loss of lives and the devastation of the Hungarian Wars.

North Sea

Likewise, the German ships continued their path

The German forces now engaged themselves fully in defending the Republican government and fighting Communism in the nation. Also, several French regiments and planes arrived with supplies as well

Prussia
*The arrival of the Germans in Prussia did help things in the country. Now faced with one of the most powerful armies in Europe, the Communists began to fall back into the country. Many ethnic Germans in the country enthusiastically cheered for the Germans as they entered the country. They waved flags of Germany and Prussia.*

Prussia

The German and French forces were quick to occupy the nation, and while not unifying Prussia and Germany, President Frederick Finck von Finckenstein made it clear it was a possibility given the support of the two nations.

As the Germans and French battle against the Communist forces, the move to unify with Germany was becoming more popular, as it would guarantee protection. Emperor Alexander also made warnings that the Imperial Republic would send troops if Prussia and Germany were not united.

Orlov: "That's all nice and well, I'm sure the Germans would love it. However, there's more then just Germans in Prussia. We have to take into account the Russian population there. They constitute about half of the population there and we can't just ignore them. And while we're at it, there's also the Sorbian people who still do not have their own state in Germany. President Frederick Finck von Finckenstein stood and spoke in mock respect.

"What census are looking at Orlov? 2010? The Slavs are more or less extinct in Prussia. Your 'looking out for the Slavs' is but a facade to spread your power. Things were fine in Europe when Harkov was the President, whilst you have done little more than restore the police state that we fought so damned hard to depose 25 years ago."

Orlov: *His tone darkened.* "Tread carefully friend. I am willing to work with you peacefully on this situation. The Slavs will return. Our repopulation program is working well."
Kowalski: "Gentlemen. Let's not start World War V here. How about this. We allow for Prussia to join Germany with a high level of Autonomy. Inside the Prussian local government there will always be a Slavic representation in the country. As for the Sorbs Mr. Orlov, they are fine for the moment. None have protested about anything. We would also ask for the Polish government to create a railroad service connecting Germany and Prussia."

The men nodded. Alexander was especially happy because he had proposed this in the first place, more or less. However, they all knew this was but a temporary solution; sooner or later war was going to erupt over the spread of Communism.
