One by one, the Monarchs and Presidents sign the Trade Act, ensuring their economies' futures. Lucius smiled. When the Communists hear of this "capitalist scheme", they would throw a fit. This Trade Act effectively created the largest economic bloc the world had ever seen and would guarantee economic stability for decades

East America
*In the months since the violence in the country began, East America had fallen into a civil war. The military was split with members supporting both sides. Propaganda by the government showed the "evil" of the Social Democrats, how they had started all the last wars, how they had so many soldiers killed. This put fuel on the fire as more and more people joined the Communists. Hell broke out all across the country, except for in Montana. In Montana, life was going on just as normal. They were disconnected from the rest of the country and didn't really care about the doings in the rest of the country. Some however wished for independence.*

Nevermore

As the FEA descended into Chaos, the Imperial Republic became increasingly cold to its eastern neighbors, whilst expanding its influence as a result of its latest Trade Agreement. Imperial industry was on the rise, sending machinery and luxury goods to its dependencies in Mali and Persia.

Imperial agents informed the Emperor that Montana, a region long coveted by the Empire, was becoming increasingly isolated from the FEA. Lucius smiled in glee.

"Send our agents there," he informed Caballus, "if it goes to war, Montana will be ours."

Moscow, Eurasia
*As life in America descended into hell, life in Eurasia was going along just as it always had. In recent days the government had begun a repopulation effort, urging couples to reproduce and sending out messages for Russians living abroad to return home. President Harkov sat in his office, looking over some papers when a knock came to his door.*
Harkov: "Enter."
*Alexai, Makarov, and a few other men dressed in their Officer uniforms entered the room. They had guns on them, locked and loaded. Harkov looked up in surprise.*
Harkov: "Alexai? Makarov? What is the meaning of this?"
Makarov: "Mr. President, we ask for you to come with us. Do not attempt to struggle, you are surrounded."
Harkov: "What is the meaning of this!?"
Alexai: "Mr. President, for the crime of putting the Eurasian people in danger, you are under military arrest. You shall be stripped of the Presidency of Eurasia and shall be sent to a prison in Siberia."
Harkov: "You would damn this country! After all that we have worked for! You are all madmen, madmen you hear! This act will doom Eurasia and Imperials will occupy Moscow."
*Suddenly, Orlov stepped forward from the crowd as the officers handcuffed Harkov. He just looked at his friend sadly.*
Harkov: "Et tu Brute?"
Orlov: "...Take him to Yekatarinburg."
Makarov: "But sir, we agreed on deep Siberia."
Orlov: "Just take him to Yekatarinburg! Set him up in a comfortable living area. Do not harm him."
Makarov: "Yes sir."
*They lead Harkov away. Harkov looked at his friend.*
Orlov: "I'm sorry my friend."
*The men took Harkov away. Orlov went and sat at Harkov's desk. He got up and looked out the window and sighed.*

The Imperial Agents peered out from their hideout.

"Target moving east."

"Roger that. Take out the tires."

Two other agents fired their shipers, easily taking out the car's tires. It crashed into a lampost as the guards exited the car, Kalashnikovs ready to fire. The Imperial Captain smiled. His men easily dispatched them with rubber bullets. He went down to the car quickly, before the police could arrive and got the man out.

"President Harkov, we are here to save you."

The men made their way into the sewers and through there they went into a hangar with a stealth jet. The leader of the group removed his helmet, revealing him to be Prince Alexander.

"You're safe now, Your Excellency. His Imperial Majesty has granted you asylum in the Empire."

The jet took off towards India.

2077

With Harkov deposed, Orlov quickly turns the EF into a police state increasing the State's power and decreasing civil rights. The rising communist state also begins to spread its influence to Finland, Bulgaria, and Czechoslovakia.

Meanwhile, the Communist Party has won the upper hand the in East American Civil War, largely eliminating the Social Democrats and any other opposition. Many dissenters flee to Imperial America, leading to tensions between the two American states. The Communist are on the verge of total control.

Eastern Europe
*In the months since Orlov's rise to power, the Eurasian Military and Communists units in the Eurasian occupied countries had increased their activities in Eastern Europe. Bulgaria was already a proclaimed Communist state while in Finland a communist government was being set up by the Eurasians occupying the country. Czechoslovakia was dealing with Communists mostly lead by Rybar in Slovakia. In Poland there was a resurgence of communism while in Prussia much of the Slavic population supported the communists while the Germans supported capitalism (and secretly re-unification with Germany). In Eurasia, the military was mostly in power. Orlov was more of a puppet to the military then anyone. The newly reformed KGB was rounding up political opponents in the country. In the Balkans Communists had infiltrated into Yugoslavia and Albania.*

East America
*With most of the Social Democrats dealt with, the East American army mostly focused on keeping order in the South where dissent against the communists was it's largest. But now the civil war seemed to be over. A new flag flew over the White House, it was a red flag with the symbol of the Communist Party in the upper left corner. The next move was the changing of states in the country.*

Minnesota, East America
*Minnesota had become a place of refuge for people fleeing East America. The state had some pockets of isolation from the rest of the country and made a good place to escape into the Empire. Today, it was Jackson and Vermaak who were escaping. Jackson had friends in Canada and knew he would be safe there. They slipped over the border and made it to what they though would be freedom.*

August 2080

The increase of Communist power in Eastern Europe forced the French Empire and its dependencies to adopt new, anti-Communist laws and harsher immigration. New laws in the Empire made all citizens into mandatory Conscription, 4 years in the Active Forces and 2 in the Reserves, bulking the Empire's defenses. Many in France and Italy eyed Illyria.

The Imperial Republic, meanwhile, had become a beacon of peace, freedom, and prosperity for many, especially with the economic benefits of its Trade Bloc. However, since 2070 the Emperor was becoming less and less public, and had since 2078 moved himself to Hearst Castle, isolated from government affairs, leaving most of the governing to his Ministers and Grand Vizier Tarkin. However, he had done much to defuse tensions with the now Communist FEA by increasing trade with them.

Hearst Castle, Imperial Republic of America

A man appeared from the shadows. He wore the uniform of a Captain of the Guard, and the insignia of the 510th on his breast, next to the Imperial Star, the highest military honour in the Empire. he motioned for the men to follow him.

"You're going to have to make it look natural," he said quickly and softly as he led them though the vast palace and towards the Emperor's Chambres.

*The men nodded. There were three men in the group, each had a red armband on with the new symbol of East America. The leader motioned for the others to activate their invisibility. Once invisible they made their way to the Emperor's room. They quietly opened the Emperor's door to find him asleep. The leader of the group opened a canister he had with him. He pressed a button and a faint hiss was heard from the canister. With that an invisible gas started to come out of the canister and began to fill the room. The agents were protected by their masks. They slowly made their way out of the room and closed the door behind them. They went back to The Imperial general.*

Hearst Castle, Imperial Republic of America

The Officer nodded and the men quickly departed. That morning, the Emperor's butler entered his chambre, to find the lifeless body of the 52 year old Monarch. Tears flowing from his eyes, he informed the Emperor's doctor, who ruled his death as natural. The Empress was soon informed, as well as his 7 children and the Grand Vizier.

Several hours later, it was reported on international news by the Minister of the News.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, breaking news," he began, fighting back tears," I have received news that early this morning, His Imperial Majesty, Lucius Cornelius Sulla de Britanania, is now in the hands of God and His Most Holy Servant, Napoleon IV. Per the Emperor's Standing Will, the title of Emperor passes to his eldest son, His Imperial Majesty Alexander, the Prince Napoleon. Moreover, every citizen of the Empire shall receive 10,000 Imperial Pounds, and his six other children shall receive 100,000,000 Imperial Pounds each as inheritance, his Godson Prince Erno Draculesti will receive 100,000,000 Imperial Pounds and the title Grand Duke of Sicily. Emperor Alexander shall inherit the rest of His Imperial Majesty's estate. Finally, by order of the Emperor, West Hungary shall no longer be occupied, and the two Hungarys may now unite. A five day period of Mourning has be issued."

Buda Castle, Budapest, Hungary

Felicia stand in front of the television with her young son in her hands, fighting to hold back tears after hearing about Lucius' untimely passing. But gets hit with shock upon receiving the news. Hungary shall become a full entity again. Families will no longer be torn apart... And above it all, her son, Prince Ernö had inherited an Imperial title and 100 MILLION Imperial pounds. She collapses back into a chair and just stares at the screen, not a sound comes from the room until the phone rings. It was her husband, Ramu,

"Felicia! Its a miracle! The Hungarian people will be one again! And all that money to our son! This could lead to some great times!" He says.

Felicia responds, solemnly, "Yes, but one of our closest friends are dead, Ramu. Get your stuff ready, as soon as the funeral is announced, we're going to Nevermore."

Imperial Republic of America

It was decided the Entombment of the Emperor would take place hours before the Coronation of Alexander, five days from now. The great wheels of state were moving, as Imperial troops began to withdraw from Hungary, whilst extra security measures were put in place for the funeral and coronation. The Pope himself would preside over both occasions, and leaders from virtually every nation were to arrive. Tarkin himself oversaw most of the preparations, to show the world that the Emperor's passing was not a sign of weakness, but a sign of unity in diversity. He himself held his suspicions, but for now he was busy with paper work

Washington DC, East America
*The Cameras began to roll and Gordon began his speech.*
Gordon: "Friends, Comrades, and even enemies. Today we have heard of a tragic event, the passing of a strong and great leader has occurred today. We in East America would like to send our formal regrets to the people of the Imperial Republic. We would ask that they do not grieve for this is how life goes. We live and we die. Emperor Lucius accomplished many great things during his reign and he helped bridge the gap between the two America's. We ask that everyone take a moment of silence today to remember our good friend. However, I now ask for the East American people to help us celebrate. Today the Victorious Communist party declares an end to all violence from the Civil war and we declare the founding of a new country. Today marks the beginning of the Soviet Federation of East America. A country of 10 united Soviet Republics. A country dedicated to the ideas of Peace, Bread, and Socialism. All Americans should celebrate the founding of our new country as we look towards a new future. I also ask to those Americans now living abroad that they return to their Motherland so that we may finally know peace. Thank you all, have a good day Comrades."

15 August 2080. Mausoleo Domus Britanania

The Procession of the Emperor's Casket began from the Palace of Parliament and would travel south towards the Mausoleo Domus Britanania, the Mausoleum of the House Britanania, where Lucius' Father and Brothers were Entombed. The Emperor's Casket resembled a Greek Temple, pulled on cart led by a team of 10 Black Horses. The Imperial Family walked in all black directly behind, with the Pope himself and the Ministers of the Empire. It would later be said close to 20 million people lined the way to see the Emperor's casket, from all parts of the Empire and the World

15 August 2080. Mausoleo Domus Britanania
*At the funeral for the Emperor, no East American delegation came, neither did one from Eurasia or several Eastern European countries. Some of the people who did come to the funeral included the Corrigan family, Gomez, Kowalski, Harkov, Vermaak, Vivian, and Jackson. Jackson had brought a friend with him. His friend was an older man who wore dark glasses, a hat, and a heavy jacket. He didn't really show his face much but he was a bearded man with white hair. One distinguishing feature of this man was a long scar that ran down his face. There was also another man there. One nobody knew. He was just there. He was dressed in a black suit and had aviator glasses on. Nobody knew who he was so they just assumed it was just a random mourner.*

15 August 2080. Mausoleo Domus Britanania

The Draculesti family had been able to get there early, getting a spot by the Mausoleum. All dressed in black, including Prince Ernö. "Mom? Why are we here?" He asks, innocently. Felicia looks down at him and a tear rolls from her eye. "You may not have known him, but we were very close to him and much of our existence is thanks to him." Ernö nuzzles against his mother and nods his head, stoically.

Ramu notices the tear from his wife and holds her close, to keep her calm, yet bows his head in a silent sorrow, himself.

15 August 2080. Mausoleo Domus Britanania

When the Funeral Mass had been completed, the Grand Vizier took to the ambo.

"Lucius accomplished more in his short reign than many would believe. He ascended the Throne after a turbulent period of Civil War, with an Empire in ruins. I recall then, after the Battle of Nevermore, many pundits believed the Empire would collapse. In the first years of his reign, Lucius saw the restoration of many of the Empire's overseas territories and the reconstruction of its infrastructure, despite the spectre of a World War looming. We know what happened when the Communists invaded California."

He paused, fighting back tears.

"Lucius showed the world that the Empire would survive, gained the respect and admiration of everyone who doubted him. He was a man of great power, but also great love and humility. He will surely be missed."

He stepped down as Lucius' body, embalmed, was placed in the stone sarcophagus that bore his likeness. It was silent, apart from the tears of the vast crowd
