Terrible Scenes: Il Grande Bauthidoxian Chiesa is in flames after a bomb attack by Hanist extremists.
Isointania is in mourning today, after an religous based terroist attack killed 164. Il Grande Bauthidoxian Chiesa had a bomb detonated in it's center, was petrol bombed by masked attackers and worshippers were sprayed with bullets by an gunman. A Hanist terror group, named Il Mahgani, has claimed responsibility for the attack, saying that it was to show the heathens of Isointania what would happen if they did not covert to Hanism.
Another 72 were injured in the attack, most remain in a critical condition. None of the attackers have been found, but Lé Polizia say that they have 'substantial evidence' that will lead them to arresting those involved. Many people were in the church because it was 'Assegna Verso la Notte Poveri' (Give to the Poor Night) where people are cleansed from their sins by helping the poor and needy.
Our Prime Minister, Riccardo Marino, has pledged that these 'foul criminals' will be brought to justice. In a speech the morning after the attacks, he said that aid will be readily available to anybody affected in the attacks. Prime Minister Marino may also ask the International Comunity for help to track down and arrest those involved. He also hinted that the leader of Il Mahgani, Carlo Di Havici, may be hiding in another country.
The Scoppioé Times's opinion is that we feel for the victims of this terrible attack. We can only hope that Prime Minister Marino's promise will be made into truth. The Scoppioé Times condemns any terroist acts, even if it's for a good cause (which this certainly wasn't). This is even more of a cause to attend the nation's Bauthidox churches.
8am, Il Presdeinté Casa:
Prime Minister Riccardo Marino put The Scoppioé Times down and sipped his coffee. He was in a meeting with his closest advisors.
"We need to get the ISDA (Isointanian Special Detective Agency) on Carlo Di Havici's case!" said Thomasi Sangli, head of ISDA. "They'll find where Carlo Di Havici is hiding and then we can send in troops."
"But what about the natives of the country that we get Carlo Di Havici from?" questioned Carla Kansié, Isointania's minister of Foreign Affairs. "They won't exactly be chuffed if we come marching through their country. They may even take it as an invasion!"
"Good points both of you," said Prime Minister Riccardo Marino. "I think we can do a little bit of both."
"What do you mean?" asked Carla Kansié.
"Just listen Carla," said Andrea Gregio, the vice Prime Minister.
"What I was going to say was that we send out an international community for help to track down the criminals. We start a war on terroism, if you like. When we find Carlo Di Havici, we tell the country he's hiding in that, well, he's hiding in their country. We'll be allowed to send in a force of ISAF, and we'll kill him."
All of his advisors nodded.
"I'll get an press confrence ready for 11am then," said Franco Dani, the PR advisor.
11am, Outside Il Presdeinté Casa:
"What have you called this for then?" asked Carlo Da Francetti, writer for The Scoppioé Times.
"This is a call to the international community. We, here in Isointania, need your help. Please help us. Send forces to help us stop these terroists. Please, help Isointania with anti-terroism squads. We know not if there will be another attack. Help us stop it before it's too late. Thank you."
