Anyway, barbarians or not, I think a courting thread shall be a great start in reviving activity in the TLIN.

Please do note that it is my Empress-regnant that I'm putting up on the line here. Your prince may just become the new Laneisque Emperor.. since the 14th century that is. Or maybe the Consulate should just elect a new monarch.

On a more serious note, I do actually agree and this sounds like a good idea overall. My Imperial Family will not be taking part, but I'm sure that there are many minor Tergnitzian noble families with offspring to marry off.

The first and only time I participated in a courtship thread, I was a total noob with a 40 million population nation. It went something like this:

Random Nation: Princess Fiona recently celebrated her 20th birthday. Her father, King Many Titles, is seeking appropriate suitors for his daughter's hand. The Princess is quite a catch. Despite her youth, she already has PhD's in every subject known to mankind. When she isn't busy volunteering with Doctors Without Borders, she spends her spare time being an internationally recognized supermodel/Emmy award-winning actress/ace fighter pilot/Grammy award-winning singer.

Me: Our beloved leader, Emperor Nero, believes Princess Fiona would make a fine addition to his harem. As we speak, a ship is en route to fetch her. Rejoice! Your Princess will live a life of luxury, never knowing want nor hardship.

Random Nation: Wuh? WTF!! My Princess is not joining a harem!

As proud barbarians (who are nonetheless the most civilized people in the world, according to themselves), the Batory clan prefer to be the ones taking the tribute.

Though really, PoA kinda has our hands full at the moment. Or at least mine.

I haven't the foggiest idea what to do with a courtship thread, unless that's just a euphemism for "taking bids on who will give the most for my daughter" kind of thread. That I can probably do with the best of them.

And I suspect Tag wouldn't like a Vanarambaion "barbarian" sitting on the throne of another country than he would a Haru.

As for the PoA thread, I'm in now, I can't wait for the Tagmatika Conference thread to move along to the point I can deploy or this will never get accomplished. If anyone has a place for my ships/planes/troops, feel free to make contact via the scout planes being deployed. If not, I will just be happy to cause general murder and mayhem, as usual.

As for what you should do in a courtship thread is of course, to court a girl! Not necessarily like a 'looking-for-a-groom' kinda thing however, you'd just gotta put in effort.
