My name is Bobby Gore, and I am the leader of the Urban Bantus.
(OOC: My leader character was only inspired by the real-world Bobby Gore, not based on him.
Any resemblance or lack thereof to my role-playing and the real-world Bobby Gore is entirely coincidental.)

I'm interested in signing up for this summit. I really only want to watch, though. I don't have much to say, except maybe on this thing:
Isointania wrote:The II Summit is:
1. The War Declared On All Non-White Citizens In The West Pacific by The Aryan Brotherhood.

I might have a few words to say about that, but on the other topics, I really only want to listen.
So, can I attend?

Well, this is the sign up thread, it says it right in the subject line of the OP.
And there is no OOC/signup thread, not that I can see a link to in the OP, anyway.
And besides, why would asking permission to attend the summit be out-of-character?

OOC: False, there were signups, and the OP means IC, BY sign up only). Yes, there is an OOC/sign up thread. Please think before you speak. The slots are full for the summit, so I would assume the OP does not want you to post here.

And sign ups are OOC because they are about the character, not by the character.

Yeah, if people who don't know anything about me are going to talk to me that way, then I don't want any part of this ridiculous summit anyway.

Radu Suslov was in his hotel room when he was informed that back in Bulgislavia the city of Crecea was being bombed by the Bulgislavian Liberation Army and that General Stanko was moving south to capture the city.

General Asimov had also defected to the Bulgislavian Liberation Army and currently occupied the city of Restiv.

The loyalty of other members of the Revolutionary Peoples Army was also under question

"I'm not sure what I can achieve at this summit, I feel I could do more in Bulgislavia" he said

"Nonsense, this summit is important, the sooner the real discussions start the better" said his mother

"I will leave should things deteriorate further though"

"I'm sure Omar Milea will recall you if things get worse back home"

(OOC:Mate, mate, calm down. There WAS a OOC sign up thread but you missed it. You're clearly new to the Roleplaying forums so I suggest reading up on the 'Welcome to International Incidents' topic by Jenrak. Also, the summit is not ridiculous so please don't come into my thread and insult the posters here. I agree with Bergnovinaia, please don't come into a thread late, with very little RPing experiance and then say you only want to watch and discuss one paticular subject. That's kinda rude. Gilliland's phone rang.
Go into the Conferenance room A-1, the summit will begin immediatly.

He put in the earpiece, picked up his briefcase and went down to the conference room. There, he took his seat at the large table and waited for the arrival of the other leaders.

The chairman had finished his meal early and went to bed early as well, allowing him to wake up quite a few minutes before the summit had begun, allowing him to have some breakfast first, and touring the area. But once he got a text from the Isointanians, he knew it was time. Vital diplomatic matters that needed discussion were in his mind as he walked towards the conference room.

Expecting to be late, he was pleased to see no one other than the Isointanian and PAUSSR leaders had arrived just yet. He walked towards one of the seats in the room and said before sitting down,

"Good morning, sirs. How do you do?"

Lord Everard Leitner found himself, quiet unexpectedly, working late at night, studying all the files given to him. It would seem that the summit was proceeding in a manner that he had not originally anticipated.

Whilst typing on his computer, he recalled how he had originally liaised back with the Government in Divitaen, where the Crown Prince once again reiterated an anti-terrorism and anti-interference stance with regards to foreign policy, that Lord Leitner knew he would eventually have to defend, but not at the moment.

He closed the computer, absolutely bored, and muttered to himself, "I wonder when this summit is going to begin".

Unable to wait, he left the room and telephoned his servant, "Yes, excuse me, I arrived here quite a while ago, and my wife and I have already had our rest...yes...no, that's not it...I was just wondering...no...just listen! I wish you to inform the leaders of Isoitania that I am slightly confused as to when this summit is beginning. I do not wish to present myself as a completely impatient individual, but it is within my interests to see that this summit begins at a predictable time for my government bosses back in the Capitol, so please, do let them know that I cordially requests an anticipated and known timing as to when this summit shall begin. After all, I wish to be ready for the incident, and it has been such a long while since dinner."

At that, he hung up, returning, and hoping that the leaders of Isoitania may take the liberty of responding to him as soon as possible. In the meantime, he had nothing else to do but work some more.

Very soon, the servant replied, saying that the Isoitanian leaders had responded, and quite promptly too, that all leaders should report to the conference room at A-1. Lord Leitner was truly elated, and got ready his dressing and portfolio before reporting immediately at room A-1.

Ms. Thekenbail was on her i-telephone updating her faceliterature account when she received the text from the prime minister about the location of the conference. "On to the hotel, driver," she shouted to her driver, Ramón. "The conference is going to be held in room A-1, near the front of the hotel. You can just drop me off there." Ms. Thekenbail's driver heeded her instructions and proceeded to hotel as planned. She picked up her phone and called Prime Minister Roberts to inform him of her progress. "Yes, Mr. Roberts," she said holding the phone close to her right ear. "I am about to arrive at the summit.... um, hmmmm.... yes, Prime Minister, I had Mr. Deangelo submit both proposals for the WA's consideration after I left... you wish for me to talk about them here, garner support...? Right'o! Goodbye Prime Minister..." Ms. Thekenbail then hung up her phone and holstered it to her belt as the limousine pulled up to the front doors of the hotel. "Ramón!" she shouted back. "When my entourage arrives, please have them bring my bags to room 24-B, please... oh! But my green personal briefcase to me in the conference room. Thank you!"

Ms. Thekenbail grabbed her purse and exited the limousine into the hot sun. Where are those patio covering things when you need them? she thought to herself. It's like a sauna out here. Ms. Thekenbail made the seemingly long journey to the front door where she was greeted by hotel staff and directed to the conference room. She walked down the long hall and pushed open the double-mahogany doors. "Sorry if I am late," Ms. Thekenbail said as she whipped out her Bergnovinaia flag miniature and placed at the table. "My flight ran a tad bit late. What have I missed?" Ms. Thekenbail looked around and observed a great deal of chairs still empty. "It would appear nothing!" she said with a light chuckle.

"Honestly, have you seen a nest?!? Make my bed like a nest!" Dictator Edwin Pilkington, the velociraptor, shouted at the maid. No matter what he said, the maid kept making the bed the same way. "Like a byrd?" the human maid asked in an indifferant tone. "No, like a badger. What do you think puny mammal!" Pilkington replied. His rant was interrupted by his phone ringing...

Go into the Conferenance room A-1, the summit will begin immediatly.

"Good, I need a distraction." he said to himself. He adjusted his black peaked cap, military trenchcoat, and tie. "Remember, nest-like!" he said to the maid before leaving, taking the cart of food with him.

-later-

Some of the other guests reacted in shock at the sight of a dinosaur in a military uniform walking down the hall carting a tray of food. Others thought he was in some elaborate costume for some show. He really did not care what they thought, as long as nobody tried to kill him. He made his way to the conferenance room. Pilkington sat at his seat and continued eating, waiting for the summit to start.

President Radu Suslov of Bulgislavia entered the A-1 Conference chamber, it was large enough to seat all of the various delegations. He was keen to get into this summit and discuss the various state of the world

He got his papers and his talking point in order and sat down at his seat and then reflected back on his homeland. He was receiving updates of what was happening in Bulgislavia but not as many as he would of liked and felt somewhat out of the loop and away from the action.

From what he knew Omar Milea was consolidating the Popular Front government with a number of emergency measures which eroded the democratic process and undermined liberty in Bulgislavia, but the alternative was the brutal and merciless rule of General Stanko who was apparently in possession of the extremely large and vital city of Crecea. He felt it slightly inapropriate that he was all the way in another land, dining and staying in luxury while his countrymen were killing themselves, even the Bulgislavian media was taking note of this (although due to new emergency censorship measures the media wasnt as vocal as it could of been, most of the media was instead dedicated to discrediting General Stanko and the atrocities of the BLA)

Ms. Thekenbail thumbed through her notepad. Why don't I have notes on this Aryan Brotherhood, she thought to herself. Oh................. Roberts probably forgot to send them to me. I will just have to wing it. Ms. Thekenbail stood up in front of the summit.

"I, for one, am appalled by these 'policies'" she said as representatives continued to walk in the door. "As Bergnovinaia's head ambassador to the World Assembly, I have worked on countless pieces of legislation and watched pieces of legislation pass that criminalize such policies because of their highly egregious nature. I understand that it is that nation's sovereign right to run their politics the way they wish. However, at the expense of a certain group--I say nay! This nation deserves the greatest form of condemnation possible by the international that is peaceful, like sanctions, to steer the nation back onto a proper track."

Ms. Thekenbail sat back down in her seat. I hope I didn't just set off an international crisis, she thought as she sipped her lemon tea and waited for a response.

Bertus I of Yorkopolis sat in his massive, golden, ornately decorated throne in his massive, ornately decorated chamber. He was wearing a blue suit, with his cap lying right next to him. He read silently, not wanting to disturb anyone, and was highly concentrated at the time. Outside of the large golden doors his guards stood to guard the door from any unwanted enemies. He looked up briefly, carefully observing his surroundings, and taking a peak out of the window. It was stormy. He smiled, and went back to reading his book. Suddenly, he heard someone knock on the door. It was the typical knocking of his guards. "In," he said in a quite ordering manner. His guards almost literally stormed into the room, and one of them handed him the extremely large golden phone he used. He used such a large phone so he would be able to see, as his eyesight was rather sore at the time. "Sir, there's a text message for you, it urges you to go to the conference room immediately," one of his guards said, holding out the phone to his master. The emperor stood up calmly, picked up his military cap, put it on, and took the phone from the hand of the guard. He read the text message, knowing that it was important by the fact that his guards could only disturb him if it was a matter of importance to him.

Go into the Conferenance room A-1, the summit will begin immediatly.

He smiled at the spelling mistakes in the message, and handed the phone back to his guards. "Very well men, then we know what has to be done," he said calmly, and he then proceeded to urge his guards to follow him, as he marched in front of the column of guards that followed him outside of the room. He strode through the hallways in an almost militaristic manner, with his chin high, looking proud. He saw 2 big oak doors, reading "Conference Room A-1", and he threw them open. "Well hello my friends," he said to the rest of the heads of state as he entered into the room with the rest of his guards, the last of them hastily closing the door behind their leader. He stepped very slowly and loudly to the seat assigned to him, and went to sit down. "Now where's Streichen?"

Adolfus Streichen was sitting in the accompanying study of his chamber, a large, ornately decorated room with 2 oak doors with heavy brass doorknobs on them, and with windows on the front. It was in the Western front wing of the beautiful hotel, which directly overlooked the parking place below it. Streichen was wearing a pair of glasses, as he was studying the history of Germany. He was reading a book about the Holy Roman Empire, entitled The Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation: Empire and Federation, which was about how the Holy Roman Empire was actually a federation of kingdoms rather then a whole, single, unified empire. It made him think of the recent coup d'état in Yorkopolis, which brought the Imperial Government to power. He had recently formed the Republican Tribunal for the Prosecution of the Perpetrators of the Monarchist Defection, a tribunal dedicated to prosectuting the perpetrators of the Monarchist Coup d'état that had recently happened. The Tribunal had already made "Wanted"-posters all over the Republican State, in every city, big and small, targeting the perpetrators of the Monarchist coup and their allies. Suddenly, his phone shook gently on the table, indicating that it had just received a message. Streichen looked up from his book, took a look at his brass clock to see what the time was, and then took his phone to see what the message read.

Go into the Conferenance room A-1, the summit will begin immediatly.

He smiled at the spelling mistakes, pulled off his glasses, and put on his peaked cap. He opened the oak doors of the study, and went to walk on to the doors of his room. His guards loyally saluted him as he passed by, and he urged the 2 inside the room to follow him, urging the other 2 to stay on guard. He strode on through the ornate halls, looking at the beautiful paintings hanging on the walls of the corridors. He was astounded by how big the hotel was, he had just passed 2 conference rooms on the floors. He reached the floor down, and saw a brass plate reading "Conference Room A-1" next to 2 large, oak doors. He opened them softly, and strode in with his guards. The first to stand up as Streichen strode in was his former friend and now rival, Bertus I of Yorko, who smiled and greeted the First Consul of the Republican State with an almost sadistic smile. Bertus I loudly said "Hello Streichen, it is fine to see you", as the latter passed by. Streichen replied in a friendly manner, saying "It's nice to see you too, Emperor." He said the word 'emperor' in a sarcastic way, making his rival throw a mad glance at him. He went to sit in his designated seat, as Bertus I also went to sit down again.

Ms. Thekenbail awoke from her long needed slumber. "Excuse me, Charles," she said turning to her personal aide. "What time is it?"

"One in the afternoon, madam," he replied. "The summit has been going on for some time, yet nobody has spoken."

"Oh," replied Ms. Thekenabil looking for her cup of tea. "Why has nobody replied yet." Charles shrugged. "Hello good ambassadors!" Ms.Thekenbail then shouted. "I didn't come all the way from Bergnovinaia or leave my urgent business in the WA to sit around all day and sip my tea. Do we have international matters to discuss or not? If so, can we please begin!"

Radu Suslov, President of Bulgislavia gathered up his notes.

He stood up and leaned in towards the microphone set up infront of him (I assume everyone is seated in front of a microphone, like what they have in the UN or the eu parliament?)

Radu only knew Bulgislavia and so he would speak in Bulgislavia. However his speech will be translated into the languages to be understood

"Thankyou to our hosts for organizing this summit and for recieving the Bulgislavian delegation well, thankyou"

"I would like to begin by first acknowledging the turmoil and crisis currently gripping my homeland. Some of you may be aware of the crisis of Disintegration Bulgislavia is currently suffering. I would simply like to add that this period of disintegration is a temporary deviation from the construction of the Peoples Democracy and the path of the Great Peoples Enlightenment Revolution, infact the disintegration period has revealed to many Bulgislavian's those who would hold the people back and send them down a path of tyranny and self destruction. However when I arrived at this summit the crisis was not so bad and I'm afraid that I must give this speech and then return back to Bulgislavia and help my fellow countrymen rebuild out of the disintegration period"

"I came to this summit to speak about the state of the world as it currently stands and Bulgislavia's revulsion of the world status quo and of the Great Peoples Enlightenment Revolution that has been a leading force in Bulgislavia since October of 2011. The Great Peoples Enlightenment Revolution began with student uprising's and demonstrations and then led to the election of the Popular Front coalition government of leftist parties and the formation of the Revolutionary Republic on January 10th of 2012"

"Since then we have made many strides and changes in many areas, most importantly we have reversed the regressive influence of money in its parasitic infection of the peoples culture, we have devolved power down to the masses and I would even describe Bulgislavia as the state of the masses. All of Bulgislavia's leading institutions were cleaned out, made transparent and underwent reformation and now we are starting to see the emergence of a true Peoples Democracy, the highest form of democracy possible, in my opinion"

"We have empowered communities, pioneered direct democracy and have ensured that descision making remains in the public domain and open to public scruinty to ensure the will of the people set the agenda for society. We have also overhauled our economic system controlled directly by the workers using self managing collectives of workers and revocable and elected delegates to serve in Congress of Workers which functions as a parliament for economic matters and represents the interests of the workers, theses are co-orinated by a Confederation of Labour. We have consolidated an economic workers revolution and now we are focussing on the dismnatelment of the political state by returning political power and descision making to the people directly"

"The current period of disintegration has severly set back and ruined some area's of Bulgislavia but this is certainly just a temporary period and those responsible for perpetrating extreme injustice and bloodshed will certainly be held to account and recieve 'justice by the people' whatever that may entail"

"We have also substantially reformed our justice system with the establishment of 'peoples courts' who maintain the function of sociatal justice at the community and local level in co-operation with the popular assemblies of a given community"

"That state of the world however continues to be gripped by the environmentally destructive capitalistic system which disconnects people and communities from one another as well as disempowers them and makes them dependent and a slave to money. Money has infiltrated every layer of human society and is now at the center of political power, economic systems, educational and health systems, it has infected humanity and when we realise how much of a self destructive parasite money really is we can work on returning the economic system to the workers, political power returned to the people and education and health to belong to the people to be freely accessable. We must focus on a compassionate and progressive society"

"Yes I believe Bulgislavia does provide a model of something different and we freely wish to share our ideas about society, culture, economy and so on. I believe is it vital and important that we all focus our efforts on contributing to humanity rather then destroying it"

"I also would like to not only critise the global capitalist economic system but also the so called communist states dominated by power seeking individuals and anti-human institutions such as the political organizations and parties that have a monopoly on power and hold it over the people with terror. Bulgislavia was for a long time a Stalinist state, freedom only existed in the kitchen with your spouse and loved ones and the paradise we were supposedly constructing ended up benefiting a few power hungry control freaks at the very top and a monsterous, unsustainable and destructive top heavy system"

"Bulgislavia Stalinism under Yegar Provoce and again under Mehmet Ceau was able to survive so long because of the co-operation of the people and the extreme cult of personality and brainwashing propaganda which held people in the grip of a controlling ideology and essentially led to Bulgislavian people forming mental prisons for themselves. The Revolutionary Republic of Bulgislavia fully condemns these corrupt societies and tyranny and dictatorship in all its forms, from the economic and inverted totalitarianism of Capitalism to the overt totalitarianism of more blatant and primitive political systems"

"Bulgislavia is firmly dedicated to the path of creating a true Peoples Democracy where the people set the agenda for society and the workers set the agenda for the economy. We are firmly dedicated to the path of contributing to humanity, of fostering a compassionate, free and open society. We are firmly dedicated to the construction of a Revolutionary paradise with a fussion of people power, communism and direct democracy. We are firmly dedicated to sustainable economic practices, living in harmony with the natural environment and ending practices that lead to environmental destruction. We are one human family sharing this planet together and its resources are the common heritage of all humans in this family"

"Bulgislavian society is extremly experiamental and radical at this particular time in history as we look for alternatives to the current global status quo that in no way cares for the wellbeing of human beings or the environment. We reject the people before profit capitalist mentality, the anti-human institutions and monetary institutions that exploit people and the environment, mindless consumerism, materialism, greed and addiction to money and power have absolutly no place in the Great Peoples Enlightenment Revolution"

"Thankyou for your attention, I hope this summit will be able to achieve something meaningful and contribute to humanity. I must now take my leave and return to Bulgislavia. Many appologies that I can not stay and listen to speeches from other leaders. A Bulgislavian delegation will still be present but I must leave. Thankyou"

Radu Suslov gave a bow and then shuffled out of the room where he returned to his hotel room, packed his things and returned back to Bulgislavia with his mother (Who he treated by bringing her along to this summit)

Bergnovinaia wrote:Ms.

Prime Minister Marino nodded and said:
"I agree Ms. Thekenbail. Isointania's view is that it is foul, disgusting and morally wrong. However, since forming The NANA Alliance, Isointania will only take up diplomatic ways of dealing with this attrocity. Of course we can induce sanctions, but what will that do? I can only think of military raids on the concentration camps. What do you, my friends, think of this?'
