The protests began silently, with a few of the subjugated vendors refusing to sell to their new masters, but spread rapidly. Civil disobedience was a flame in the fire of the simmering discontent, and soon the former citizens of the Ottoman Empire were marching on the streets, demanding an end to their Italian rulers' existence in their mighty city. Tens of thousands surrounded the main governmental office, set up in what was once the Caliph's palace, chanting "Go home peninsula boys!" in Arabic.
A few of the gendarme police stations were also sieged, and the city rose in a cacophonous tumult. Elsewhere in Syria, the old heart of the Ottoman Empire, similar street protests took place, demonstrators occupying major city squares and calling for self-rule.

The unarmed protestors fell like wheat before the scythe to the Italian gunfire, but where the men fell and scattered the seeds of resentment were born. What had been a peaceful demonstration turned ugly, dozens falling to the Italian firing, while the rest fled to their homes and businesses. The streets were quiet, and paved with spatters of crimson.
In Damascus the situation got worse. When the small Italian contingent fired on the crowd they killed many, and the mob retreated for a few hours, but shortly thereafter the streets swelled again with protestors. An army barracks was fire-bombed, and the mob beat those who survived the blaze with clubs and iron bars. Few survived the holocaust.
Around the palace the protestors swarmed again, shouting for death to the soldiers and an immediate removal of the Italian government.

As most of the Italians were fighting elsewhere, Arabia was easily conquered by the Natives.

A man stepped up, ruddy from the sun and black of hair, to the forefront of the mass outside the governmental palace. He read the document once, twice, then raised his fist in the air in victory. The masses yelled in exultation, and the election dates for the parliament were set for a week hence.
The Syrian people set about burying the martyrs of the revolution and setting up their own government.
Iraq
Emboldened by the success of the Syrian demonstrators, the masses took to the streets too in Iraq, marching peacefully for self-determination and their own government.
Arabian Peninsula
In the Arabic lands the many nomads and Muslims took note of the triumph of the Syrians, and a few prominent leaders entered the governmental offices to begin the negotiation process so they took could be their own masters.
Turkey
Street marches also took place in Anatolia, calling for home rule, as the many revolutionaries were calling it.

The Arabians rejoice at the good news, and the revolts end. All over the world, most people are content with the situation...
