Daybreak broke over the horizon, as a multitude of Cheyenne hunters, dressed in thick-woven coyote pelt headdresses and their buckskin clothing, sprinted across the dry, barren prairie landscape, wielding nothing but their greatly sharpened spears and their longbows strung across their chest. The small hunting group of about fifty natives had been watching a medium-sized herd of about twenty five buffalo for a couple hours, tracking their hooves as they stalked them from the long, thick prairie grass. Times have seemed to become a lot less troublesome since the Tribal Council of the Northwestern Natives had been formed, weeks before. Since the closely-knit group of tribes had begun working together, trade had been very fluctuating and fighting between each other was obviously non-existent, allowing the beginning of a Golden Age to begin. Tribal Practices had been spread between the tribes, and many customs were adapted to interlock together, allowing for their cultural boundaries to be settled, and uniting as "One with their brothers and sisters in Nature". The Pawnee's Corn Harvest was soon, which meant for a large surplus in food supplies to be shared throughout the tribes, and the Cheyenne hunters would be able to rest for a short period of time.

Contact with the recent White Settlers had been very rare, and the Cheyenne Tribe could care less. At times, they weren't exactly sure what to think of them. They had heard about the earlier outbreaks of the disease that had been spread when they landed, hundreds of years ago, that affected other tribes in the Southwestern Regions, and that gave them obvious reason to slightly fear them, along with the added fact that their bright suits of armor, and loud "Thunder Sticks" could completely annihilate a single brother with a simple flick of the switch. Although their technology was far superior to the Cheyenne, the Natives thought of their way of killing lacked skill, and gave them no honor whatsoever, causing respects to be lowered. Then again, trade had once been established with the White Men, and their goods had been rather unique and luxurious, compared to nearby tribes. Trading had stopped shortly after though, following that a war between the Apache Tribe had been supported by being given the use of these metallic objects. The Cheyenne tribe's stance on foreigners seemed indifferent at the moment.
