The radiant sun slew down towards the Pawnee women as they swiped Corn Husks from their fields. The time had finally come, Harvest. The watering trenches dug out had allowed for crops to be watered and kept hydrated throughout the hot days, and it made the corn taste even sweeter as it was cooked later on a fire. The other Pawnee men had recently arrived back from a hunting party, gathering large amounts of rabbits, deer, snakes, and as well as Armadillo. The Pawnee were in charge of the great ceremonial feast that commemorated the beginning of the Tribal Council's reign, so they were sure to have hearty amounts of everything that they were able to grow, kill, and cook. As sizable amounts of food rations were loaded together onto a large caravan of horse-drawn wagons, in the distance, other neighboring tribes were seen hauling their share of the feast and customary items that were needed, such as ceremonial tools, headdresses, weaponry, etc. The night had come, and the Pawnee's representatives had set course towards Cheyenne territory, where the meeting was set to take place.
