The War of Old Grudges and New Wounds(MT/OOC)

This is a character based war so there wont be any need to worry about logistics and all that. All we ask is that you use proper grammar and be realistic. Treat this like writing a book if that helps. This thread will mostly be used to go over the actions performed, to make sure everything makes sense and not fill up the IC thread with OOC chatter. I'm naming Vetega as Co-OP.

My armies are powerful despite having large numbers. I've perfected the quality vs. quantity ratio when it comes to my MT nation.

My nation is autocratic, everyone is part of the military in one way or another. Same quality vs, quantity ratio idea, but different approaches to war and the training varies on the branch of service, like one is better at defense than attacking.

Well Ashley should still be in New Ixis. At this point it is the strongest military city in the world. After the civil war it has to be. I could have the Arcadians kidnap her like the Lorians did to David.

I thought your country falls to a coup or something though.

Yes it does. They plan to hold the entire royal family hostage and let them watch their dynasty fall. David must be crowned king first. Then, the civil war will begin.

If it's okay with you, I think I will start this with Rayborne, Ashley, and about-to-give-the-child-a-name in Page, like just for a normal visit. And have it be that the political situation there in the Federation is already turbulent, my opening post will basically Daniel saying hi to his sister and his niece and then railing at Rayborne for wanting to let David be coronated so early and saying he's not ready and it's a bad idea. That's basically what i had in mind.

Don't forget about Amber and Spitter, and if you want, let's have them have a kid as well.

On the left would be a normal soldier in the army and on the right would be the more elite Pagian rangers, except they'd have shoulder plates on both shoulders. Symmetry rocks.



And yes, Amber and Spitter can have a kid. Assuming they got busy right away, they'd be about 9 now. I'll let you decide the details of that though.

the Haktivan beliefs on romance and intimacy would have made it a unique case. it would have taken him a while to really get his feelings sorted out. I'd assume the kid would be fairly young

no just "stupid" when it comes to that particular subject. the thing with Amber and Spitter would probably start a new way of thinking since Haktivans never really talk about it. Hell they'd probably be celebrities in a way

That's fine with me Page. PLus it's not as if Rayborne has a choice in the matter anyway. David is of royal lineage. Rayborne was only a temporary king. Plus with Izon's disappearance, a Destraud needs to be in the throne.

So are the three of us going to brainstorm some sort of plot or are we just improv-ing as we go, cause that's pretty much what I've been doing. It's fine if that's the way you want to go.

Haktiva I mentioned IC your idea like that the Blood Rock contained some new element that would spark a war. I actually have a very interesting premise for my villain's motivation but I want to keep that a secret for now.

I'm waiting for an opportunity for the Haktivans to throw their whole military at something, since we've only seen special forces so far. they're cool and all, but provide a very limited picture on the nation.

Well since the Federation just fended off the Arcadian Imperial Navy. While the enemy gathers a different invasion plan. They can lash out at Page and Haktiva. If you want.

It would be interesting to see Haktiva on the defensive. But Vetega, are we going to temporarily vanquish the Arcadians to crown David?

Yeah. They need to be pushed back into the Badlands. Then, the coronation will proceed.

I took care of the fleet in Varios, now you all just have to defend against a force strong enough to take on an army built by the Red King.

I envision the Pagian Army as not necessarily having the numbers to face down the Arcadians long term, but able to unleash a powerful barrage of shock warfare enough to inflict some serious starting damage and delay them.

And Haktiva I now have the perfect subplot in mind for the Blood Rock, you both will find out soon (after the coronation. And in case you didn't pick up on it, Trajan wants Ryyth because she's the only one who can solve his equation)
