Emperor Alexander IV called a meeting in the Crystal palace in the capital of Krenland, Helsinki. Representatives from all over the country from the regions of Norway, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia and Königsberg. ''Quieten down!'' the emperor boomed completely silencing the chattering representatives. ''I have called you here in the Crystal palace here in Helsinki to announce my plans for the next year.'' he continued, the representatives listening intentivly.
''First this year I plan to invade Svalbard in the Norway-Iceland Kingdom.'' he announced proudly. ''I know people what am I thinking of invading a barren group of islands inhabited with noting with seals but I am invading because of the blubber and oil we can get off and sell from the thousands of seals, polar bears and whales there.'' he explained. ''But it also gives us a strategic advantage against the kingdom. We can position a fleet there and they will be surrounded. We could attack from both the Arctic Ocean and the Baltic.'' he finished.
''Now please go for a 30 minute break and then come back in while.'' he finished.
After several weeks a fleet of 39 battleships left for Svalbard from the very north of Krenlandish Norway. They arrived several days later and began operations to secure the islands. Longyearbyen was sighted soon and the Krenlandish navy began unleashing a full scale onslaught on the town.
