I played that for a couple months. Was fun, till running the same three STFs over and over again just wore on me.

I'm gonna godmod (the report enemy losses kind) a lot when dealing with my own two nations. It is easier that way as I can post more freely between nations.

The PC is the superior platform for gaming and to say otherwise is heresy.

It should be noted that the Tamashki are not a naturally evolved species. Long ago, the current area that makes up the 'core' of Sultanate-space was occupied by two species: The Slaar and the Tomesh. The Tomesh were a newly risen civilization, having rapidly occupied several systems, creating a 'infant empire' totaling a hundred planets. This infant empire began to brush against the Slaar, an extremely xenophobic and militaristic race. The Slaar totaled many more systems, with thousands of planets under their control. The Tomeshi Empire began to intrude upon a system on the farthest eastern fringes of the Slaar, preaching 'peaceful expansion' and coexistence. Alarmed by a potential challenger to their domination, the Slaar responded with brutality, using their superior numbers and highly advanced technology to overwhelm the Tomeshis, crushing their military and collapsing their central government, resulting in the Tomeshi Empire's demise, cutting off Tomeshi forces from each other. The Slaar swept from planet to planet, bombarding them with massive 'magnetic fusion torpedoes' and 'cobalt fusion bombs', rendering them uninhabitable, nuclear wastelands. When the Slaar finally reached the Tomeshi homeworld, they pounded it mercilessly with their weaponry, leaving it a barren hell-world, a place where they believed no life could exist. Believing them to have wiped out the Tomeshi race entirely, the Slaar exited, leaving the Tomeshi planets barren, radioactive cemetery worlds as a reminder of their power. But the Tomesh did not die, they existed in isolated pockets across dozens of worlds, deep within the darkness of the caverns and tunnels well below their planets' surfaces. Left to fester and strive in the darkness, the Tomesh devolved into violent, tribal brutes, constantly warring with one another over what little vital resources they had. They were little more than primitives.

But the homeworld was different. The survivors were lesser in number, and more heavily contaminated by radiation and chemical poisoning. But, they had access to technology the other Tomeshis did not. Slowly, they muted and degenerated, becoming thinner, darker, more resistant to radiation, lost their genitals and most of their organs and blood, and began to feed on the sun. Tribes warred with one another, but their populations slowly swelled, tribes fused together and grew larger, forming entire nations. Time passed, and technology rose, until vibrant nations thrived beneath and upon the homeworld's surface. But still they warred, never reaching their true potential. And then, came the Prophet. He preached a message of retribution and reclaimed glory, of religious piety and duty, amongst other things. His words rejuvenated the collective spirit of the homeworld Tomeshis, gaining him many followers. With his army of holy servants, the Prophet united the nations of the homeworld. United, he told his people that this race was different from their ancestors, superior, more evolved. He called them Tamashkis, and named the homeworld Tamashk. And with that, the Prophet became the Sultan. An golden age of prosperity began as the newly crowned Tamashkis spread to the stars, retaking planet after planet, being ideally suited to existed on the nuclear wastelands. However, many Tomeshi planets had also risen, and they fought against the Sultan-Prophet's expansion. But with rapidness, all were brought under the Sultanate's sway, ruled with a dignified and fair hand. The Tomesh were treated kindly, and were viewed as equals.

And soon, the Sultan-Prophet came upon Slaar-space. The two empires dueled, each striking the other brutally. A war of attrition commenced, the Tamashkis slowly, but surely, chipping away at the Slaar. The war was known as the War in the Heavens, the Sultan-Prophet leading the Tamashki forces through the slog. The climax of the War in the Heavens was reached when the Tamashkis came upon the core system of the Slaar Empire. The Sultanate and the Slaar battled above the Slaar homeworld, neither side able to deliver a knockout blow. In order to end the war, the Sultan-Prophet in all his might entombed himself in a suit of otherworldly, golden armour, and teleported into the palace of the Slaar Emperor. The Emperor awaited him, an army of his most powerful troops acting as his defence. And yet the Sultan-Prophet tore them to pieces and engaged the Emperor in a final duel. The Emperor was fresh and at his full strength, wile the Sultan-Prophet was wounded and haggard. And still, with all his strength and power, the Emperor could not best him. The Sultan-Prophet did slay him, albeit being mortally wounded in the act of doing so. The remnants of the Slaar shattered, and they submitted to Tamashki rule. Mortally wounded and dying, the Sultan-Prophet was entombed within the Crimson Selpuchre, and became a living god to the Tamashki people. No longer truly alive, but never quite dead. And now, the people of the Sultanate await the return of their God, who sits upon his throne dead, but dreaming.

So do I have the only non-humanoid species?

My race is made up of trans-evolutionist aquatic cephalopods.

I have thousands of non-humanoid species. I just dont have a majority of anything, since humans make up 1.2% of my population, and they are the largest single majority.

Compared to the other races, the Tamashki live lives of luxury. They live in better conditions, are able to live more freely, and have access to better medicines. The life of a Tamashki is one of religious piety, and most often some sort of leadership position. Indeed, almost the whole of the Tamashki live a sort of Aristocracy within the confines of Sultanate-space. The Tomeshi make up the majority of the general populace, the majority of the organic components of the military, and the organic labour pool. They are the workhorse of the Sultanate. The Slaar are rather isolated and few in number, a mildly enslaved race kept alive only for their natural prowess towards science and technology. Most Slaar serve technical, scientific, or logistical roles in the Sultanate. All other tasks and niches are filled with the engineered, mechanical slave race known as the Automatons.

The whole backstory is interesting... it could be made into an RP by itself (has it been made into an RP?)
