My group will have some issues with the slavery based system of certain alliance members though. Perhaps an IC discussion will be necessary.

Unlike the Sentillian. They are spider-like. I'll introduce them in Credits or something.

Gentlemen, I have a few questions before I submit an application.

This time periods thing. Are we treating them as separate realities, or just assuming that nothing that could happen in the earlier periods would possibly affect the later periods?

Am I to assume that you are operating along an older competitive style of FT RP, where "power" is dictated by territory and size of fleet; rather than the more modern "code of bro" style which emphasizes cooperation, compromise, and story over competition?

If the former, then is warship power a fairly "fixed" value, thereby making a smaller number of more advanced vessels an untenable doctrine?

For the time periods, we're supposing that they are one timeline, but the details aren't exactly in place to determine how and what effects what. My idea so far is that generally, one would provide a rough outline of what their nations would be in each time period. My general idea is that in PMT (with FTL), my nation would be a small and insignificant fleet going around trying to survive and find somewhere to settle down, in EFT, we'd be somewhat of a sidekick to the UEFP, in FT we'd be a major power, and in PFT, we'd be a... well PFT is currently fuzzy, but I think it'd classify as a really major power or something like that.

I'm currently not quite sure if we're code of bro or competitive, but from what I can tell so far, we're in between, siding mostly with the code of bro idea, since there is bound to be much confusion over what is powerful and what isn't.

As for small number of advanced vessels being a bad idea, never! Else my nation and the UEFP would be screwed, seeing how everything would work. It would work, even if it turns out that the RP method is competitive, because generally, more advanced vessels would be able to take out more of the lesser ones.

I'll have to wait for Hladgos' opinion on this though, seeing as he is the OP.

Edit: One timeline unless otherwise stated.

Actually we operate in the form of both of those styles, As i in particular operate a very small amount of ships, but are also among the most advanced and most powerful among the Rp group. But as such i am also a very small nation compared to everyone else here.

The main point that may be a deal-breaker in my opinion is that none of us goes off and says "that's a techwank" or something to that fashion, which resulted in a rapidly escalating technological and numbers rise, or at least in the previous RP we were in which led to the foundation of this group. We are going to try to ensure that doesn't happen in this group, but really there are no guarantees.

Then again, with the tech periods placed out, it should be easier to figure it out.

Wait a minute? How the hell did a random nation get to 4 lightyears of the Solare system without me noticing, the UEFP stretches 500ly in every direction from the Solare system and i would have detected them as soon as they even neared my border. Also the person said Sol system and not Solare system, where the hell is this person going? because there would be no way they would be that far in UEFP territory and so close to my home system.

Surprising. No one has recognized my existence in the RP. I sent a message to Dolmhold, but no reply.

Ok so you know, My nations homesystem is like a mirror of the Sol system, but different and is in the Delta quadrant, you are nowhere near me at all.
