Samantha ran like she never had before, cursing her boss for sending her her. The sounds of gunfire from the technicals, Telviran troops, and Burkett's own handgun assaulted her ears, but all she noticed was the burning desire for more oxygen. She ran towards the entrance to the hotel, and straight through the door. Behind her, Burkett ran into the lobby. They had made it... for now.

OOC-how long until the Skyhawks arrive?

IC-The last stationary technical exploded in a massive fireball. The sniper rounds felled the gunner, the militiamen riding shotgun, and took out two tires. Now RPG rounds began slamming into the front door, clearing a path for the technical, which was now driving on rims.

The 20 man Albundanian team had been walking towards the Oasis, as it was called, for only 10 minutes when several plumes of smoke came into view. I think we're a bit late now. Damn. He gestured to his men to sprint. his team came up to the rear of the building to see a limb falling off the roof. He signaled to 15 men to stay in the back and the rest came with him to the front. Cpt. Gregorvich ran around the corner, and immediately the guy next to him took a bullet to the face. Of course, Gregorvich wasn't sure where the guy had been hit. He only knew that because of the spatter on his own face. He dove to cover, and his men did likewise. He peeked above the cover for a second and shot three bullets at a militia, and saw him fall. He signaled for the AT man on his team to fire at the Technical. He quickly looked over, took a shot with his Carl Gustav, and flew back as at least four bullets slammed into him.

Ambassador Haughey: “I have a Directive from my government instructing me to harbor any refugees that come to our embassy. By international law, we have the right to take in whoever we please regardless of complaints from our host country. Everyone here is under the protection of the Dominion of Palpatinist Coruscant; killing anyone here will be viewed as an act of war by my government. If you proceed to massacre us all, I hope your nation is prepared to deal with inevitable international retaliation. It would be a shame if your government was toppled because of this incident at our embassy.”

OOC: Holy Hell, this thread is moving fast... I have alot to catch up on... I'd prefer it if you didn't G-mode my Corporal, despite his tag-along-ish-ness, Jakra ;)

Unhurt from the chaos (praise unto the Wellwright), Stone scratches his head, noticing it itches terribly. He always itched when he was nervous, and he never figured out why. After awhile of being shoved dragged around, he frowns. "What the Hell is going on?"

OOC- 20 IC minutes Shaw, basically either your next post has casualties or the one after that.

Mitchell, finished with his radio call. Looked over at Stone to answer his question. "Well, Corporal" Mitchell began, "What was supposed to be a nice simple pain in the ass press conference turned into two Indowa attacks, my Hog being blown to hell and unknown telviran casualties". "Oh and by the way now some SkyHawks are ging to come in and teach these geonicidal maniacs that you don't mess with CAFOR!" He snapped as he let out his built up frustration and anger out on the young Jimani.

Above Masuru
The two flights of SkyHawks prepared for their attack runs, to be safe only one flight (flights would alternate) would attack at a time. The other flight would stay in a protective orbit to immediately go after anyone who shot at their sister flight. Flight 2 was up first, the twin SkyHawks dived twoards a collection of armed men (clearly militia) and technicals, once at the correct range both Hawks unleashed a barrage from their dual 30mm autocannons, nose mounted .50 Caliber rotary canons(3-barrel) and 60mm rockets at the cluster. Once a large burst of firepower was released they broke off the attack pattern to move into defensive orbit for flight 1's attack run.

Hotel staff took Samantha and Burkett into the cellar, where most of the hotel staff and residents were sheltering. "Are you hurt?" inquired a staff member.

Outside the hotel, the Telvirans continued to pour fire onto the technical. Troops moved forward to bring the technical under point-blank fire from MG4 SAWs.

At the embassy, the colonel frowned. "You are harboring traitors to this country. I do not care what you're directives are, you will surrender these Sahen. My orders are clear." Around him, the soldiers tightened their grip on their weapons and the T-34s loaded HE.

Fatima Solari woke up to the sounds of screams outside of her dorm room at Masuru University in Kuroma’s Capital. At just 20 years of age, Fatima was one of the best students in her class at the University of Tripoli back home in Italia Orientale, a Miss Italia Orientale finalist, and was already being groomed by the Democratic Socialists to become a party leader and maybe one day even run for the Prime Minister’s office. At the moment however, she was one week into a three week course of studies entitled “Politics & Government in Religiously Diverse Countries.” Ironically, she was about to experience the absolute worst combination of government, politics, and religion.

Fatima rolled over in her bed after being woken up and tried to go back to sleep, thinking the noise was from some students playing a sport or some other activity. Then, Fatima heard gun shots and snapped up and out of bed and looked out her window. What she saw outside shocked her. A group of men with machetes and assault rifles were rounding up groups of students in the quad outside her dorm. Suddenly, she heard voices outside in the hall. She ran to her door and looked through the peep hole. She saw four men dressed similarly to the militiamen outside pacing up and down the hallway.

Fatima’s heart was racing. She quietly crept back towards her bed and got dressed. She heard more men walk into the hallway and then heard them start knocking on doors. Within several seconds, she could hear screaming as students were dragged from their rooms. Then, she heard a loud knock on her door. The voice on the other side was screaming for her to open the door. She hesitated for just a moment, unsure of what to do.

It turned out that the decision wasn’t hers to make. Just a few seconds later, one of the militiamen kicked down the door to her room and came barging in. Fatima looked up in horror as the man approached her, grabbed her, and threw her onto the bed. The militiaman held her down and climbed on top of her as Fatima tried to fight back. Then, out of nowhere, the man stopped and got off of her and began apologizing emphatically. Fatima looked at him still terrified and realized the reason he had stopped. Sitting on the table next to the bed, was her Quran, and the man had realized that Fatima was a Muslim just like him.

“Please, please forgive me,” he begged, “if they find out that I tried to violate a Muslim girl they will kill me too.”

Fatima was unsure what to do. “Yes, yes,” she replied incredulously, “I will say nothing, just please, let me go.”

“Yes,” he said, “just follow me and say nothing.” He grabbed Fatima by the hand and pulled her behind him. She couldn’t believe what was going on. This man had just tried to rape her and now he was going to try and save her? When they reached the quad outside of the dorm building, the full horror of what was going on struck Fatima. She saw students from the University, some of whom were her classmates, being lined up against the wall and shot by the militiamen and others that were being beaten senseless. As they rounded the corner around another building, Fatima looked down an alleyway to see a group of girls being raped by the militia.

They reached a busy road outside the University and the militiaman let her go. “Now go,” he said to her.

“Where should I go?” she asked desperately.

“Go! Go!” he yelled at her, and then turned and ran back towards the University. Fatima was left standing on the street with only the clothes on her back and no clue where to go next.

Samantha had to think about that question for a moment. She patted herself down a little then turned to the man and shook her head, still breathing too heavily to say anything.
Burkett looked at the staff member and said "No, I'm fine." He glanced up the stairs where the soldiers fought off the militiamen and said "Perhaps I should go help them."

Jacob sat and listened to the sounds of the battle, occasionally peeking out to see a technical blown to hell outside of the hotel. He had to get there, to get to safety-

Footsteps behind him. More militia were coming up from the alleyway, possibly hunting down civilians or reinforcing the assault on the Oasis, Jacob didn't know.

His heart in his throat, he took one more look at the hotel gates. They were damaged, a burning husk of a vehicle laying against it. If he could jump on the vehicle, jump on the gate, and then down...
He wouldn't have time to plant, he would have to jump the very second his foot hit any sort of surface. But he didn't have a choice and, Marsh help him, maybe his four years of ballet would help the ten year old boy.

Jacob bolted across the battleground towards the front gates.

The Carl Gustav shot shot past the technical and impacted in the ranks of the militiamen firing into the hotel, killing four. The technical raced forward, driving on all rims towards the massive hole that had replaced the front door. Then a .300 Magnum round hit the technical's engine block. The technical screeched to a halt, the remaining crew hiding in the wreckage. Within minutes they were all dead.

The now explosive-laden technical rounded the corner and took off for the door at high speed. It barreled down the street and turned into the compound and headed for the door.

OOC-Jakra, your massive helicopters of doom can appear now :)

In the cellar, the staff all frowned and shook their heads. "Best not to, sir. Let the Telvirans deal with it."

A pair of militiamen spotted the youth and opened up with AK47s, now desperate to inflict any damage.

OOC-Sure, why not?

IC-With the attack of the Skyhawks, the missile troops got a break. The two remaining troopers raised up and locked onto the suicide technical. In unison, they both fired.

Gregorvich frowned as the shot missed. Then he saw a technical speed by, and took a few random shots at it, none of which he expected to actually hit the vehicle. He signaled to team 2 and another 5 men dived forward behind cover. This time, one of them was armed with a BILL 1 Anti-tank guided weapon. he quickly looked over cover, and fired. Then he met the same fate as the last person who fired an anti-tank weapon. Gregorvich watched as the rocket sped off and prayed.

Ambassador Haughey mentally gulped, but he knew he didn’t have much of a choice. He knew his own government, being as anti-democratic as it was, would be monitoring the situation back home through secret surveillance cameras planted at the embassy. If he stood down, not only would the Sahen here die but he and his family would be condemned to death by his own countrymen for letting the Dominion falter to the petty whims of an insignificant government. However, if the Ambassador stood his ground and got killed in the process, at least he’ll be praised as a hero back in Coruscant.

“My Directives are clear as well. However, if your mission is to keep your government in existence, I advise that you think twice before butchering me and everyone else here. You may be able to kill a hundred or so Sahen right now, but within a month your masters will be overthrown and you’ll surely be imprisoned or executed for crimes against humanity. Meanwhile I may die, but I have complete faith that our Imperial Fascist movement will outlast anything in this country.”

“However… should your masters chose to call off your uhhh…… little genocide, I just may be able to find a way to ensure that your government remains in power rather than die an early death.”

Mitchell and Eremy both gave a rousing cheer as they watched the Jakran Skyhawks spew death onto the militia bastards. Mitchell decided he should make plans to get back to the HQ , so he used a radio on the Fennek to call to the HQ to send a Warthog convoy and an addtional SkyHawk escort to pick up Eremy, Stone and himself in around 2 hours. Which should be enough time to give the press conference and talk to the Telviran commander.

Shots aimed at Jacob missed by nothing more than a hair as the zone was chaotic- exploding vehicles, missiles gone awary, the pure act of unbridled violence. He ran like a boy possessed- and indeed, he was possessed by a powerful emotion, fear. He pumped and got to the burning vehicle. He jumped on it, and when his right foot went down, he launched off of that onto the gate. When his left foot fell into place, he launched once more and found himself vaulting over-
-And that was when a bullet found his left kidney and associated area from behind. He was thrown by the weight of the bullet forward and fell to the ground on his right side as he screamed in pain, tumbling three times before coming to a stop some six feet from the gate, unconscious, the bullet having gone through and made quite the exite wound.

"Sir, our orders are..." The radio-man was cut off.

"I don't give two shits what our orders are Sergeant, those are human lives in danger, and an international incident waiting to happen!" Captain Csaba Benedek practically roared.

That ended it, their bald and imposing 6'2 commander making them practically flinch at his anger before they moved through the back door of the convenience store with deadly silence as gunfire raged all around. For three minutes they had to wait at the mouth of the alley, in shade from the evening sun, as a gun battle raged between militant and government forces until both sides broke contact and they were able to cross the street without much in the way of trouble. Then they continued to move through the alleys in the direction of the embassy, having had the phone message intercepted and relayed to them by their boat. They knew it would be bad if they couldn't do something about the situation such as lower the military forces away from the embassy to both save lives and stop another major incident breaking out in the country. Czaba knew this was important and knew how dangerous the situation was but didn't even sweat from adrenaline (but more from going at a fast crouch, almost continously across three city blocks) as he entered the side goor of a three-story building of some kind: an apartment it seemed, and they had a view from down the street at the forces surrounding the embassy, only one building away. With a single order the squad's sharpshooter set up in a window while the others hung back near the back of the second story in case returned fire was heavier than expected.

Pfft came the report of the silenced M21, aimed for anybody of signifigantly high rank that was in military uniform.

The fire from the Skyhawks killed the last of the militiamen on the ground. Then the missiles hit the technical. The resulting fireball could be seen across the city. When the haze cleared, the lawn of the hotel was scorched. 34 Telvirans were dead, 83 wounded. Approximately 30 civilians were dead and over 100 wounded. Blanco had already moved to a safehouse on the other side of the city, and was beginning to plan his next strike.

OOC- God-mod alert!, God-mod alert!. Seriously though, Euro-Trash you don't decide Telvira's casulaties, they do. And only you can decide your casualties. I'm leting you off because you are new to the game and it's a mistake everyone makes, but try not to do it again.

With the city once again relatively peaceful, Mitchell radioed and ordered the SkyHawks back to base. Then he ordered eremy and Stone to try and get the reporters together for the press conference. While Mitchell himself went off to find the Capt. Andreas.

OOC - Telvira was right next to him when he posted that, and approved the casualties.

IC - Gregorvich was saddened at the destruction. Worse than the food riots back home. was his first thought. Three dead in what seemed to be only a minute. This is gonna be some intense fighting, Gregorvich decided. He then walked over to a person who seemed to be in command and said " Captain Gregorvich from Albundania, how can I help here?"

At the Embassy
The colonel was clearly in thought. "I shall report to my superiors and be back shortly. In the meantime," he raised his voice so his troops could hear him, "my troops will remain here to insure no Sahen escape." The colonel drove off in a jeep, leaving his troops surrounding the embassy. The bullet missed him by a hair and buried itself in the ground. The noise of the jeep covered it.

Outside the Hotel
"We got wounded!" Two Telviran infantrymen spotted Jacob and hurried to his side. "Shit, he's hit bad. C'mon, let's get him to the PFH." The Telvirans loaded him onto a stretcher and carried him to the Portable Field Hospital set up behind the hotel. A pair of medics began working on Jacob, trying to staunch the blood.

Inside the Hospital
"Ah, Colonel. Good to see you alive. Is the press conference still on?" Cpt. Andreas had cleaned his uniform up and finished inspecting his wounded, and now awaited the beginning of the press conference.

Louis nods compliantly at the Jakran yelling at him. He doesn't show any particular amount of fear, though he feels quite a lot. After being given an order, he finds a chair and stands up on it, to elevate him above the crowd. He calls out loud in English, giving a loud, steady shout of "Silence!"

"Will the reporters and members of the News Media please assemble," he pauses, pointing to an an arbitrary series of tables. "uh- over there!" He shakes his head, beginning to shout down questioners with responses like "How the Hell should I know?" and "I'm not in charge." and "Mind your own damn business, you camera-jockey!" After this, he hops off of the chair, walking over to the corner and plopping down in a chair to himself. He yanks a pack of cigarettes from his shirt pocket and lighting one, taking a deep drag. He comes from a long line of accomplished smoke ring-blowers. He begins to fire a few off in quick succession, glad Jimanistan actually gave cigarettes in its rationpacks, and, as Jimanistan is a major player in the administration of CAFOR, cigarettes are an option among the green-shirts.
