South Valikan troops have suddenly, abruptly invaded the neighboring country of Central Valik in what the South Valikan government and Communist Party call "a war of national unification and liberation". North Valik has condemned the invasion and offered military aid to Central Valik.

Unfortunately for Central Valik, the next perimeter is only 23 miles from Glauconium, the new capital city of Central Valik still under construction. The Patrian Brotherhood is rallying the Militia for a new defensive line called the Glauconian Line. Several hundred miles of Central Valikan territory has been "liberated" by the Reds. A prominent political commissar has been heard boasting that the entire Brotherhood will soon be dead, either from war or executions.

Refusing to bow to the ultimatum, we continue the offensive into Central Valik, confident of final victory. The fall of Glauconium seems assured by now, but the Brotherhood continues its brave, firm resistance.

Glauconium, under siege, fights bravely on. The Brotherhood leads a counterattack, now reinforced by 80,000 North Valikan troops. It also calls for Macurean aid while thanking those nations which sided against South Valik.

Heeding the call for military aid from its former protectorate, Macureus has declared war on South Valik and sent General Ios Melin with 250,000 men from the 4th Army of the Macurean Defense Forces.

OOC: Gotcha. Edited post to make it sound like a Sea fleet, not space fleet. Since it is Modern, we will be staging our war from The Republic of Krieg, the Modern nation that was the founder of the FT Helghast Krieg Empire.

Suddenly desperate, the South Valikan Red Army launches a final, concerted offensive, determined to end the war decisively before the enemies of the people can land. With the issue moot, hopefully, it can be resolved. Or so Chairman Vicin thinks. Meanwhile, Security Commissar Arco Latixi quashes several workers' strikes and student protests against the "hopeless war". Those responsible are being rounded up and shot.

Meanwhile, the 4th Army, reinforced by the 34th Airborne Division, has invaded South Valik in force. General Ios Melin is in full overall command of the Macurean Expeditionary Force assigned to defeat the aggressor.
