The idea is simple, a (relatively) MT space race, to try to be the first to reach outer space. No RL nations, so we're just assuming no-one has done it yet. This is a sign-up, you can state a role you'd like to play, such as a rival nation, after all, need more than just Safed to have a race! Or, if you'd prefer you could RP a foreign advisor for another nation. Just some ideas.

How many people do you think we should have? The more the better I think, up to a point, once we've reached a sensible number I'll set up a separate thread for RPing, so this one is OOC.

If possible, I would like to join as rival as well.
Possible plot could be a previous war between our nations, during which nations failed to score decisive victory. After 40 years of settlement, nations signed a white peace. Within several years, race to put man in space started due to old and unsettled rivalries.

Man I would love to do this. I'm obsessed with space stuff but my country has already reached the moon. But I could be providing tech for a ideological ally i suppose.

"We're going space Mr. Montgomery, tell me the quickest time." "Sir, a month? I will have a team working on it." said Mr. Montgomery. "If we could send a satellite up we can send a human" The Ultimate Ruler remarked. Previously the government had no interest in sending a man into space, not to be the last we joined the race to space.

I put in some lines so that it reads better, the other thing I need to say is that we are starting from nothing at all being launched into space, so I'm not sure a month is long enough, RL it took 12 years from the first satellite to the first man on the moon.

OoC: Sure, sign me up. I won't participate directly in the space race, but I'm sure I can help a contender with money, some IC astronauts/scientists, that kind of thing. Maybe come up with an international space exploration organization with someone?
