Good morning!

The nation of Heirosoloa and her allies are tired of Western Democrotic Germany. Initially because of WDG's idiotic plan to somehow identify, corral, and then subjugate homosexuals, but mostly because Western Democrotic Germany seems to think is is anything other than a bug.

As such, we are going to crush the WDG like a bug. Because that's what it is. Judging from our vastly superior military the war will be short. The council greatly apologizes for the extra workload, but also would like to offer extra overtime benefits for employees who choose to spend even more time in the office than with the family.

In short, we're going to crush some idiots. So, it'll be a long week. Drink some Gatorade.

Heirosoloan forces discreetly began mobilizing for an invasion of WDG. Official declarations were not made, and the majority of troop movements were explained as preparations for war games. Various fleets began amassing throughout the archipelago, gathering troops. It had been a long time since Heirosoloa had invaded a foreign power, and her forces were itching (if not wholly prepared) for the chance to spread the Glorious Phoenix Empire. Heirosoloan High Command, however, was hesitant on deciding an overall strategy without knowing the commitment of the other foreign powers who had declared hostilities against WDG.

The use of reconnaissance planes had not been authorized, as one being captured would blow the whole surprise-attack plan out of the water. However, basic spy photography and a collection of sources on the inside of WDG provided for a simple framework of the defenses that the armed forces would be expecting to face.

General Charles Joseph "Charlie" Crist, Sr. of the United States Marine Corps had just been tasked with the single largest and most important mission handed to the Corps in more than six long decades. The leaders of Western Democratic Germany had begun a program of unjustified oppression levelled against their homosexuals. While the average U.S. national did not like homosexuals much, he liked government sponsored genocide even less. As such, communications had been sent, demands issued, and refused.

The carrot having been refused, it was now time for the stick. President Lester D. Graves had ordered a massive strike package assembled with the goal of "bringing justice to the German nation," and stopping the oppressions in that country. For this purpose, the U.S. Navy was preparing fully four Carrier Battle Groups, support ships, a Surface Action Group, and so on, and had begun running seaborne combat drills so they would be ready and able to knock out the German defenses at sea and transport the ground forces safely.

Regarding ground forces, the U.S. Army was mobilizing several combat divisions plus support, but it would take them a while, except for certain rapid-deployable units. The first strike on land would be made by the U.S. Marine Corps, specifically, General Crist and the men and women of Marine Expeditionary Force III, fifty thousand Sailors and Marines, total. They were to be lifted in by sea and by air, and supplied that way as well.

It would easily be the largest military deployment in the last fifty to one hundred years.

Our missle deffence network was readied as well as our own missles. The army was mobilising and given a small amount of training to refresh their memories before heading into combat. Most children under 16 were being taken to cortal to be evacuated onto the space stations they had setup. The whole nation waited eagerly for the first shots to be fired.

After learning of the new negotiations between cortal and WDG. The Tothians decide to wait before we act. After the news of this, the Tothians were angry but tolerant. It was reasonable not to fight before finding out if there was a way to solve this woithout war.

[Heirosoloa]

The Heirosoloan fleets churned away from the island-fortress of Arcem, each proudly displaying the crimson, gold, and blue flag of the Phoenix Republic. Much fanfare was given throughout the nation as the citizens of Heirosoloa celebrated the divine act of spreading civilization by killing barbarians. Many speeches were given, including a particularly moving one by Chancellor Quixote, the head of Heirosoloa. However, many opposition pundits commented on the violation of Western Democrotic Germany's sovereignty, although their furiously typed blogs and interviews were drowned out by the revelry. For the first time in a great many years, Heirosoloans felt like they were in true Heirosoloa.

The majority of the Heirosoloan military contribution was naval. Being an archipelago, the maritime forces of the Phoenix Republic greatly outclassed the other branches. The Heirosoloan Navy was therefore charged with transporting and then supporting allied troops as they moved upon Western Democrotic Germany. While Heirosoloans were certainly not simply going to give up entirely as soon as the troops hit the beach, it would be silly for Heirosoloa's lesser branch to shoulder the burden when a more land-focused military could do so.

Heirosoloan forces had agreed upon a joint command structure with the Atalissan military. As soon as the fleet entered international waters it slowed and opened a channel to the Heirosoloan mainland. From there it would be routed to Atalissa and hopefully then to the Atalissan forces. The method certainly wasn't efficient, but a direct and encrypted system couldn't take over until the Heirosoloans had located the Atalissans.
