Re: RDL (Regional Defense League)

The United Kingdom wishes to extend our gratitude for the invitation to join the RDL.

The United Kingdom has no Laws prohibiting it Her from joining a league such as this, however we would question the following...

a) Would the League dictate to member nations whether they should or should not join a conflict?
b) Does a nation within the League have a right to refrain from entering a conflict?
C) Would the nation be allowed to maintain its own sovereignty in the sense, We don't take orders from the League nor is the League capable of dictating laws to member nations?
d) Would a monthly/yearly membership fee be charged?

I would like to welcome The United Federation of The Wacha to the league. I am looking forward to our close work together. Now to answer the questions put forward by a previous post.
a)Would the league dictate member nations to whether they should or should not join a conflict?
It is advised that member states fight together in conflict concerning threats to any other member state but the league can not make a nation participate in any conflict they wish to withdraw from. If a conflict is given to the RDL the delegates from each member nation vote on whether the league's should intervene. If the vote is in favor of intervention the league will fight but any nation that voted against this can put an argument to the secretary-general on why they wish to withdraw.
b)Does a state have the right to refrain from a conflict?
Yes. A member nation can submit an argument to the secretary-general at anytime during the conflict or even during the vote. The secretary-general is very likely to accept the argument as they have no real power over the issue. Although is some cases the secretary-general can refuse this in extreme circumstances.
c)Would the nation be allowed to keep it's own sovereignty in the sense, we don't take orders from the league nor is the league dictating laws to member states?
The RDL has no right or say in what a nations laws are. The league's main priority is not 'spying on member state's activity'. It is the sole guardian of any member state who's very culture, beliefs, society or sovereignty is under intense threat.
d)Is there a monthly/yearly fee to be payed?
No. It is mae up of the collective armed forces of member nations but contributions are always welcome.

Firstly, we wish to thank the Regional Defense League for having brought itself to the attention of the UNAS. We have lightly observed the organization, and, while small, it is possible that, in a near future, it be attended to nicely.

However, before we send in our own application, we feel it necessary to ensure that any and all authority members, and anyone else that may or may not participate in the gathering of said organization, understand that, while the UNAS sends in an application to join the RDL, we would prefer, strongly, if we were regarded to as simply an observer nation. We are not yet fully sure we wish to integrate ourselves entirely with the organization.

I meant something that requires a bit more organization. Interconnected tactics, ranks, systems of operating, bases, assets, etc. And an actual organization of the armed forces, not just contribution and a massive stockpile of useless numbers.
