Anyone up for a small war? (MT, OOC Interest)

It's been ages since I've had a decent war RP so I'd thought I'd see who's interested.

The basis set up would be a small war of some sort. Maybe your nation annexes a Crown Colony of San Espara and I respond a territorial dispute gets heated. I'd prefer a smaller nation to RP with, I RP with a pop of 500 million so I have no desire for a massive war or million man armies. I'm not a RP snob, I don;t have time to write page long posts several times a day, but the ability to write more than one liners is a must.

If anyone is interested we can hash out the details here.

I wouldn't mind, I generally RP with a flat population of 200 million or so.

It'd be interesting, especially if the Crown Colony is in a foreign continent where Karkand also has some territorial claims. Border skirmishes could escalate into a minor war overseas, certainly nothing to get the people back at Karkand or San Espara terribly worked up or a mainland fight - but a small-scale war like this is so seldom RPed that it'd be interesting. Sign me up.

How would other nations play into the equation, though?

I'd be interested. My nation does utilise a bit of post-modern, but only in the form of Gas-mask helmets and armour for soldiers. Our guns still shoot bullets, and our soldiers still die from bullets.

Everything you just said there is exactly how I RP and feel about RPing. I would love to RP with you, I RP with a population of 75 million, and my tech is straight up MT. Also, I've been taking my country down an imperialistic path lately, so your idea sounds great.

Well, I think it would be nice to have at least one third party which can deploy troops, located near the territories.

Whoa, hang on there.

We still need to decide who's participating, possibly close off any more spots for RP deployments. It's given that San Espara is RPing (and hopefully will get an IC thread up-and-running as well), by virtue of being first to respond I think I'll be the aggressor, and one last party is on the continent with the colonies, and have their own thoughts on what should happen.

So it's Karkand v. San Espara, and a large native country/third party that either one of us may try to convince/fight against.

It's generally a good idea to have more than just a one vs. one RP. The story take forever to go anywhere and it is much harder to determine a clear winning side. One on one RPs generally end in stalemates if they haven't been pre-scripted.

It wouldn't be my decision it would be the OP's, unfortunately he seems to be offline as of this moment.

This has garnered more interest than I though. Therefore I'm going to limit this to the first to respond, so Karkadann you're up. If anyone else wants to offer impose sanctions, try to neogiate peace, monitor the situation, etc. that's cool.

As far as background, I'm thinking Karkadann and I share a island somewhere equally distant from our homelands. That way neither side can bring overwhelming force to bear. For some reason Karkadann chooses to annex me part of the island and I course respond.
