Haize Armed Space Forces Verified Converted VKI-Missile Capabilities in Orbit
HASF's VKI Quick Stats
- Developed from HABF program
- Can carry up to twelve
interceptors per missile- Can attack up to twelve
different targets at once- Fire and Forget
- Automatic IFF recognition
Such modifications as briefly noted by Space Commandant Zachyr-Toshri involve on loading the VKI complex with 'appropriate' algorithms and adaptation to be launched from HASF's facilities, "VKI have a tremendous growth potential. We found out its nanoelectronic avionics can perform well in space as it would in a purely ABM mission. The same core technologies are also expected to lighten our technology burden to become a viable space force."
While the HASF did not disclose any of their space assets publicly at press time the announcement of VKI viability for space use can be attributed by the space arm's tremendous effort to rapidly realize an actual space force for Haishan to serve as a direct space deterrent for any would be alien invaders. Additionally, the conversion signaled the space force's intent on getting reliable protection from orbital threats that may harm the nation's current satellite infrastructures and space access though the effectiveness of the VKI against real targets is not yet conclusively known or publicly disclosed, correct at press time.
The space arm of Haize Armed Forces may be now thought to have some sort of legitimate offensive power that can be projected anywhere on the world in orbit terms through their supposed development of micro-Anti Satellite (micro-ASAT) weapons and orbiting mines; this conjecture can be correlated to HASF support towards HPVA civilian-orientated micro-satellite remote sensing program, recent developments of advanced compact propellants conducted by Hahao Kinematics Institute and, rapid development of new processing architectures initiated by Azieha ICT Institute with help of National Haishan's Institute of Complex Dynamics.
The micro-ASATs may be thought as an advanced extension of VKI technologies developed by HABF, which allows (currently assumed) smaller military strength of HASF to mitigate potential alien invaders in orbit with far lower resources and personnel when compared to normal levels of space military development. Unlike normal ASATs, these micro-ASATs can be assumed to project a secondary role of either as co-orbital interceptor or purposely delivering parasitic payload(s) toward hostile orbital assets based on Haize Armed Forces' resourcefulness trait.
Orbiting mines on the other hand may be correlated with HPVA's effort on developing small satellites; it's not impossible that such small objects can be easily converted into military purposes considering the state of Haize avionics progress, either as orbital path deterrent or on-demand (once launched) direct offensive weapon to be used against hostile orbital objects. Such developments can be construed as logical path for the HASF's space weapon developments, to serve as initial deterrents against current perceived space threats coming from orbiting bombs ala Ditorates style or potential animosity from CCA's current space fleet before the HASF can shift to more advanced forms of space warfare on the level of CCA.
Rapid realization of such weapons however have a potential to trigger a domino effect in the region and currently the HASF haven't signaled any intention to halt their quick progress on developing and deploying space weapons, which are feared by Haize analysts to spark a space arms race. It's also equally important to note that HASF weapon developments may get recycled into other services as shown by VKI development, and it's likely plausible for HPNF or even HAPF in the far future to posses similar weapons as HASF with minimal modifications.
