Mob Storms Embassies in Gordonopia City

Imperial Gordonopia Corporation to Expand International Presence

(IG) - After months of speculation, Emperor William Raleigh VII signed an Imperial Proclamation today authorizing the Imperial Gordonopia Corporation to expand significantly outside of United Gordonopia and its territories. The Proclamation authorizes Celeron General Aeronautics, Imperial Media Service, Imperial Athletic Holdings, and Crown Foods Corporation to expand internationally throughout Greater Dienstad, Judea, Minyang, Nova, Adrastos, Xanadou, Tyrrhenia, Tetrakon, and most surprisingly a small number of states in Gholgoth. The expansion will take place over a period of a year, with each corporation beginning global operations at different times of the year.

Prior to the Proclamation, the only subsidiary of the IGC that operated internationally was Imperial Mining. After being established to provide a secure monopoly on the vital Gordonopian mining industry, Imperial Mining

found a moderate level of success internationally. Last quarter, several massive deals were announced totaling nearly 150 billion USD in revenue, and the Corporation managed to turn a substantial profit on both its domestic and international sales. The only affect today's Proclamation will have on Imperial Mining will be that it is now authorized to trade with Gothic states that the Empire maintains significant diplomatic relations with, most notably the Commonwealth of Yohannes.

Imperial Media Services is the first subsidiary to open up global operations. The Proclamation authorized IMS to open up all online services effective immediately, which includes, but is not limited to, the Imperial News Network website, the Imperial Guardian's website, and Evermore-Price Studios' movie streaming catalog. Physical media will be available for export on March 1.

Imperial Athletic Holdings will begin sale of broadcast rights for all of its leagues on May 9, in time for the opening of the Gordonopian Football League on June 21. Through international broadcasting, IMH is hoping to increase the stature of Gordonopian athletics among foreigners, who have seen little from Gordonopia since before the war. In a press release immediately following the proclamation, IMH stated that is is also looking to invest in foreign leagues, with the hopes of not only bringing foreign players to Gordonopia, but also getting Gordonopian athletes to compete abroad.

Crown Foods Corporation, the central distributor for Gordonopian agricultural products, will begin exports of foodstuffs on October 2. While some unprocessed, commodity foods may be exported, the bulk of the exports will be processed foods with a significantly longer shelf life.

Celeron General Aeronautics, the successor to the Republic-era aeronautics giant Celeron, will be the final division to go global this year when it begins taking orders for aircraft on December 1. Several older production models will likely be available for export, such as the Celeron 217 Jumbo Jetliner, but a statement by Celeron stated that they are 'looking forward to showing how far Gordonopian aviation has come since the last Celeron models were exported during the final months before our nation's Civil War'.

Although the reaction to the Proclamation has been almost universally positive, there have been a very small number of critics. James Price, a contributor for the Imperial News Network, stated that 'this proclamation isn't nearly enough. If the Emperor, if we, really want to reestablish Gordonopia as a major economic power, we need to be exporting far more products than a mere five subsidiaries of the IGC produce. If we were to permit Charter Corporations to export, it would be a huge boost to our economy, and it would really strengthen our image internationally." Other divisions of the IGC, such as Imperial Armaments, which are known to have plans for exporting in the future, declined to give comment.

The ISA Imbrinium Space Agency and the Mod have confirmed the launch of the 15th rocket launch this morning, the mission which was a MOD mission was launched from the joint air force/ ISA space center in southern Imbrinium. The rocket which the cargo was with held do to the nature of the cargo, unconfirmed sources said if could be another satellites as part of the new spy satellite system being launched. The only mod launches that where confirmed where the supply mission earlier this month to the military space station name withheld, the other civilian missions where weather satellites and supply missions to the space station Vincent.

In other new the current insurgency in Mordent seems to be getting out of hand of the military in Mordent. IAFM commanders have reportedly moved out of the city of Lindun and left it to the locals without RMC or the IAFM to provide security. After weeks of fighting mainly in the north part of the city the unrest engulfed the city and the IAFM was ordered to move out. Neither the IAFM nor the MOD will confirm that the IAFM was forced out or withdrew on orders. Reports say fires and the dead are all over the streets and anybody helping the IAFM or the local or new governments are being beaten. The PMs Office states that even with this set back a new government will be setup and peace will find a place in the city. The city is being patrolled by air with helicopters and drones. The rest of the country is reportedly quite with little violence being reported. Some groups here report that is the commanders on the ground with not knowing how to nation built and heavy handedness which led to the upraising.

The RIN has confirmed that at least six fleets and support fleets will be moving to Novain region to help support treaties and alliances in the region. It is not confirmed whether or not this response is because of the Novain and Goth tensions. Sources in the MOD state that the RIN has wanted to have a force in Nova to patrol the waters between out regions. The move will save billions in the long run, with ships not having to pull as long patrols. The RIN is also reporting that a Sea base with be placed along the border which will help with supply and support of operations in the area. The regional command welcomes the news they will be able to focus on the regional with more of the non-nuclear ships which will save fuel and support costs.

An Old Crown-A New Dukopolious
[DG]-Following the end of the bloodiest and longest war in Dukopolious, victory has been proclaimed. The King of Dukopolious, Former Diarc, Duke Windburn IV has been crowned as monarch of all the land and has declared Dukopolious to be a Stratocratic Monarchy, a hybrid government clashing the Ideals of Monarchy, from it's allies Morrdh, and The Matthew Islands, along with its own history, and Stratocracy, from it's great ally Lyras, and the nation's natural militarism. The war had been dragged out for nearly a year, resulting in deaths tolling over 3 million soldiers, and an estimated 4 million enslaved civilians. With millions more fighting deadly injuries. Yet for the first time in months, the population was united, and they rejoiced. As King Duke IV was crowned, he promised something the populous had been wanting for decades, a new Dukopolious.

Before the war, Dukopolious had elected a Communist Minority government to rule the Elder Council, the governing body, headed by the Diarc. With the support of the reformed Reichingstag party, which actually won council seats for the first time in it's history. Together, the 2 radical parties had formed a majority, and overruled the rest of the council on various important decisions. After The Matthew Islands had declared they would not recognize Volgan Witenzgie, the communist party's leader, he had convinced his political allies place a blockade on the Islands, something Dukopolious could barely afford to do with their economy in the dumps.

After the engagement of a Matthias ship, His Majesty King Duke Windburn IV (Then known as Diarc Duke Windburn IV), narrowly escaped a planned assassination, resulting in the birth of the Loyalist movement, and the involvement of The Matthew Islands and the Morridian Air force of Morrdh. After liberating Southern Gavania and setting up the main Loyalist base, the large Loyalist navy managed to liberate northern Gavania, and save the Matthias fleet from destruction at the hands of long range ballistic missile fire.

After the destruction of the Ballistic missile silo site, due to a joint bombing from the Morridian Air Force and Loyalist Air Force, the Loyalist Navy along with the Matthias navy both joined together in a combined attack on various Communist naval ships on the way to the North Western mega-port city of Windburnia. The soldiers currently working under communist oppressed-rule there had fought their brethren freeing the port, with minimal destruction to the many ships stationed there. This was the first mainland city to fall.

In the weeks after, the communist's largest air base had fallen under Loyalist control, while the Matthias and Morridian forces helped fully secure the northern coasts. afters a 57 day cease fire (not officially declared, but no large scale confrontations resulted during this period) the Loyalists had managed to train over 20,000 civilians to operate normal weaponry, which would then be turned into a defensive force, while the main force got ready for the siege of Dukopia which would occur a month after.

During this period, The King (Then not formally king) had written a letter to the orders of Lyras, which then resulted in Lyran involvement. the 11th order was deployed to liberate the east.

The Siege of Dukopia started when King Duke bested Volgan Witenzgie in battle, after being shot in the shoulder, he used his ceremonial knife to kill the dictator [Source: King Windburn, 4 members of the Royal Guard] Then he broadcaster a short speech on the city's loud speakers, inspiring over 3000 slaves to rise against their communist slavers.

The rest of the siege was a joint effort of the Dukopion royal guard, military, air force, along with allied forces from The Matthew Islands and most prominently, Lyras. They killed the main body of the Communist force before the crippled army surrendered and was shipped off to Sashilva, one of the few islands that stayed under Loyalist control during the war, which also happens to be the region's largest prison.

Following victory in Dukopia, the Lyran 11th order, headed by Order Marshal John Essex of Lyras, had liberated the entire eastern portion of the nation with minimal Loyalist support and virtually no civilian casualties (Albeit the cities fought over were already evacuated and therefore there were barely any civilians to start with).

After the war had ended, and the last remains of the crippled communist regime had fallen and been slowly picked apart by Morrdian and Dukopion forces. This had caused great joy in Dukopolious, resulting in the coronation of King Duke Windburn IV by the Arch-Bishop of Dunkov, and a long, yet strongly worded speech by the King, followed by a speech by Order Marshal Essex, representing the Protectorate of Lyras.

With an old crown atop the head of a New king, and old leader, came a New Dukopolious.

City-State of Bombay Enters Protectorate Treaty with Gordonopia

(IG) - The City-State of Bombay, the fifth-largest and one of the more influential city-states on the island of Taffy, officially entered into a treaty today with the Empire to become a protectorate. This marks the fifth such treaty struck in recent months, and the largest since the one with the City-State of Fenshaw.

The treaty was announced by a bi-lateral press conference with representatives from both the Bombay Council, and the Gordonopian Foreign Arbitrat. Much like the treaty with Fenshaw, articles such as free-trade, basing rights, and a permanent military detachment are included. However, the Joint Reunification Commission established with the Fenshaw treaty was omitted. Rather, the founding of the Union Coalition was announced. The Coalition, made up of the five city-states currently aligned with the Empire, has the stated goal of furthering the reunification of Taffy as a protectorate of the Empire, in order to help prevent the instability that plagued the former regime.

To help protect Bombay and the rest of the Coalition, the Empire also announced that it would be significantly increasing its military presence on the island. The ground contingent will be increased from a single division to three, made up of over 60,000 men. Additionally, a full fleet will be deployed to the island, allowing for significant naval and air forces to bolster those maintained by the coalition members.

No comment was during or after the press conference on the issue of the rouge state of Kalinin. Controlled by a potentially unstable warlord, Kalinin recently invaded and occupied the smaller City-State of Stratsburg, which lies directly on the border to Bombay. Communications between Kalinin and the outside world have been virtually cut-off due to conflict, and it is unknown if Warlord Makai has any further plans for conquest. It is expected, however, that if his forces cross into any of the Coalition members' borders, the Gordonopian military will respond with full force.

IMPERIAL NEWS CORPORATION:

The Ministry of Defence today announced that it would be increasing the military presence on Booth Island in the North Eastern area of Greater Dienstad as part of its continued anti-piracy drive. Piracy had run rampant along the 'Boxmoor line', the route that oil tankers took when transporting Oil from the colony of Boxmoor to the home islands.

The revealed military boost is to include, 2 extra Destroyers, bringing the total to 6, 2 extra Nimrod MRA4's for a wider maritime patrol radius, as well as a permanent garrison of a Marine company, believed to number about 500 men. The move is expected to provide a significant boost to the local economy, with construction work and future civilian contractor jobs all being given to local companies, as well as the increased troop presence brining more disposable income to the island. Since the military base on Booth Island was established Piracy is believed to have halved, and the new measures are expected to cause to fall further. Before the increase the Booth anti-piracy force (BAPF) consisted of 4 Destroyers and 1 Nimrod MRA4.

Rockwell, Federal Republic of Pennsylvania: Earlier today the Federal Republic Navy announced the successful entry into operation of the P-20A “Viking” Long Range Maritime Patrol Aircraft. The Viking was described by the attendant officers of the Navy as a Multi-mission Aircraft capable of a wide range of duties, from Surface Strike to Electronic Surveillance and Sub-Surface Search and Destruction. The First squadron of 48 Aircraft, VP-442, will be deployed to Northern Bendira in support of Smuggling Interdiction and Insurgent Location. The Pennsylvanian Navy plans to acquire approximately 1,000 P-20As in order to replace existing numbers of MPAs that are 20-30 years old.

In other news, the Pennsylvanian Federal Republic Air Force (FRAF) today announced the beginning of a series of Wargames on the Lyran Continent, near the former nation of New Empire. The Wargames will include a large number of aircraft, including two Squadrons of Strategic Bombers (96 total aircraft) and 6-7 (288-336) Air Superiority and Multi-role Fighters. The exact duration of the wargames, nor the intentions for the increase of experience from the exercises.

Today’s breaking news thousands wave goodbye to love ones and friends at major naval bases around the country as the largest peace time naval fleets leave Imbrinium for their new base in some 6 different regions the first wave of fleets left this morning with fleets leaving behind them. The royal family was at the going away shaking hands of the commander and men of the departing fleets. These new deployment seemed to have came out of now where but now we are told that months of meetings with the governments of Yohannes and Libertarian Governance these top level meetings took place at different times and places.

Sources say these have been close door meets between Prime Minister Sir Konstantinos Stephanos and Yohannes the Rt Hon. Julius Frej Shriver. Minister of Foreign Affairs to His Majesty's Government these talks where done in secret and only reveled at the last moment. The talks between the Crowns the Government of Libertarian Governance are still being withheld by the Crown.

These deployments mark a new phase in our military’s history and our foreign policy. The shift in policy comes as many see the military getting to big and in need of trimming. Some in the House of Commons doesn’t not support the Crown on this issues and thing the military needs to be down sized. The Mod spokesmen stated that a downsized military in these times would be asking for trouble.

The house of commons is also supporting pulling over half the troops out of Mordent and even talks of turning it over to Morrdh, but the Crown denies this calm and said troop with draws have been on the table but not until the new government is up and running in Mordent.

In other new Trilon Defence Inc. Has received permission to start building ships from two major defence companies. These ships will be replacing old ships and be forming new fleets to bring the fleet up to full strength. The companies are Royal Beaufort Shipwrights of Yohannes and Amaya Metal Works these ships will be the fore front of a more powerful navy.

Ex-RSF MP Receives Royal Pardon!

Former Royal Space Force MP Corporal Clive Higgs today received a Royal Pardon from Her Majesty Queen Lothwyn II today after his innocence was finally proven.

Corporal Higgs had been on duty the night the Royal Space Force Headquarters in Midfast was ravaged by fire in 2001, destroying a large number of valuable files in the process. The fire was determined to be an act of arson and Corporal Higgs' statement of the incident had a number of irregularities and so he ended up being charged with Arson and Destroying Classified Documents, he was sentenced early 2002 to life imprisonment and dishonourably discharged from the Service.

Whilst it was confirmed on the night in question that Corporal Higgs had been missing from his post, last month it was revealed that at the time of the fire Corporal Higgs had been with a lady friend (who has requested not to be named). This came to light when the woman's partner had decided to get a DNA test done on what he thought was his son. The child, who was born nine months after the fire, was actually fathered by Corporal Higgs.

Having learned of this development the authorities raced to have the wrongly convicted Corporal released and granted a Royal Pardon, which extends to him deserting his post on the night of the fire. It is not known whether the former RSF Corporal will rejoin the Service, but the Space Force is reopening the case in an attempt to find the real arsonist.

Empire Votes to Condemn Automagfreek at Security Council

To day the Holy Empire of Stevid, like many likeminded nations across the globe, has voted to condemn the New Gothic Empire of Automagfreek during a Security Council session at the World Assembly. Stevid has ordered its ambassador, one James Heather, to vote FOR the proposal in order the hopefully pass a successful condemnation and label the Freekish Empire as an evil state in the eyes of the WA.

In what turned out to be an emotional speech by James Heather, the Empire officially denounced the actions and crimes of a nation that has gained worldwide fame and fear for its unorthodox customs and practices both on the international and domestic stage. The Unibot representative to the WA proposed the issue back in December and the proposal has since been gathering much momentum with delegates from across the world agreeing that the issue to condemn or not should be put to the whole WA. With the proposal came a huge dossier listing all the acts that Automagfreek has reportedly committed at both home and abroad. The dossier drew much reference to the persecution of Christainity and many other religions while also pointing out that the act of human sacrifice to their 'Blood God' should also be considered by delegates and ambassadors gathered at the time.

Stevid joined a massive host of nations (6,481 as of 19:03) condemning the Freekish Empire but also delivered a long statement that will surely put the Empire under the uncomfortable gaze of Automagfreek. The statement included what can only be described as a 'cloaked empty threat' where James Heather said, "If it were within this Security Council's power to destroy Automagfreek by military force then the Holy Empire would surely be at the forefront of any attack." The Security Council does not enforce any coalition military force nor does it encourage military action but the statement typifies just how far the resentment harboured by this government towards AMF goes.
James Heather further stated in a more angry tone, "It is also my government's wish to reiterate what Automagfreek probably already knows: That the New Gothic Empire of Automagfreek will forever be an enemy of the Holy Empire of Stevid for as long as either nation remains on God's green Earth."

These two comments drew much attention to Stevid from members of the WA Security Council because words spoken by nations towards any member of Gholgoth have always invited a torrent of threats from the violent region. However the comments will come as no surprise to the Goths as they are more than aware of the distain the world looks on them with. Further more, the region of Greater Dienstad has made no secret of their respect but dislike of Gholgoth. The Holy Empire it seems is simply reminded Automagfreek that it and the region, and the world, have not forgotten the crimes of the Goths or the Freekish Empire and are not afraid of passing a resolution that could bring more waves of threats.

In response to overwhelming flood of condemnation votes, Automagfreek has been typical in its response to an organisation it neither respects nor recognises as a legitimate entity. Gholgoth has constantly waved away any resolutions or proposals that attempt to condemn or prevent their strange and usually bloody efforts and agendas. In this case, AMF has sent two written letters speaking of their disgust of the World Assembly and that voters face the wrath of their Empire and furthermore that the the proposal, if past, is not worth merit and will be simply ignored.

Further reaction from Gholgoth is not expected until the end of the WA vote, but because AMF does not recognise the assembly or its security council it is possible that there will not be a response at all.

Republicans Bomb Whitworth

(IG) - The worst terror attack since the end of the War of Restoration took place this morning at a train station in the northern city of Whitworth. Initial reports indicate that at least as 118 lie dead, with as many as 1500 killed or injured. Immediately following the bombings, IIA operatives arrested several suspected Republican sympathizers. Approximately an hour later, a Republican holdout group was confirmed to be behind the attack.

Whitworth, a city of over a million, is one of the largest cities in the Northern Forests, and in past months has been no stranger to attacks by Republican fundamentalists. Located in the heart of the worst region of Republican activity, the city has seen at least a dozen acts of terror since January of last year. This bloody wave of aggression has claimed the lives of over 700 people, and has many residents fearing for their lives.

"Unfortunately, many of our citizens are losing confidence that they will be protected here," a city spokesman said at the site of this morning's attack. "We've seen a marked increase in the number of residents moving to other areas as well as an increase in police reports. We've responded with an increase in our police force, as well as an increase in the city garrison, but only God knows what effect this latest attack will have."

The attack itself took place at 7:52 this morning: the peak time for the packed commuter trains arriving from the surrounding metro area. At that precise time a quartet of bombs detonated on three different trains arriving at the station. It is currently unknown if the bombs were detonated by hand, or if they used a timer or remote detonator. It has been confirmed, though, that the devices were of military grade, which raises the question of whether or not the Republican attackers had outside help.

A statement was released approximately 12 hours after the attack from Gordonopia City stating that the Empire intends to do everything within its power to end the wave of terror in the North. Although no specifics were named in the statement, it was confirmed that this may include a major military redeployment in addition to increased intelligence assets.

Holy Empire Guarantees the Independence of New Empire

This evening in a Parliamentary Session in the House of Commons, Prime Minister of the Holy Empire, D. Conroy, announced to Parliament and the Speaker that Stevid would be reaffirming its commitment towards its ally of old, New Empire. The speech delivered to the House included moves that the government would be making to guarantee the sovereignty and full independence of New Empire, a nation that has fallen silent to the world's international community since the War of Golden Succession, a war that took place over a decade ago in Greater Dienstad (Former Imperial Armies). The declaration by Prime Minister Conroy comes at a time where regional tension has reached an all time high among all neighbours of the region; with many civil wars being fought and several expansionist wars developing in and around New Empire.

It is believed that Prime Minister Conroy has made this declaration to curb the imperialist policies being exhibited by several nations in the east of the region, notably Lyras and Dukopolious which have both expressed desire, at some point, to make territorial gains into New Empire. For those too young to remember the War of Golden Succession, it is a war that ripped the heart out of the region and formed its current collection of states as it is today. In the process it consumed and destroyed the nations of Guffingford, Maltose and Holy Panooly in the firestorm that was 'Total War'. It was a war that defined the shape and rigidity of the Holy Empire in the face of massive adversity. Among the nations that survived and grew in prowess and those that collapsed under the strain of such a war was New Empire. A nation that was on extremely good terms with the Holy Empire before its economy crumbled under the strain of war and eventually drew the nation into a nuclear catastrophe. Before even this, the Holy Empire had fought alongside New Empire in a war against former Scandinavian States which eventually turned nuclear.

The declaration given by Prime Minister Conroy is a bold statement reaffirming this country and its Empire's commitment to its old ally.

In response to Dukpolious invading New Empire for the second time in recent months, Prime Minister David Conroy vowed that the Holy Empire would stand by the side of the Empirics and make a conceited effort to liberate the land taken by the Dukes. At the same time, the Prime Minister declared a full mobilisation of Stevidian Military forces across the globe and not just those in Greater Dienstad. This declaration is the first of its kind in nearly decade; the last time was when Stevid was engaged in total war during Second War of Golden Succession. Despite such a bold statement, Dukopolious has refused to remove its forces from New Empire and is a direct affront to the threats that the Holy Empire has sent to the Dukes. In Stevid's turbulent history, this has usually led to war.
It is expected that a full ground conflict with massed air and naval support will possibly occur, but how and when this spark will occur depends on many variables.

It is thought that the catalyst for all out war has already been determined what with Stevid promising military action if Dukopolious would not remove troops. With the Duke's ignoring the ultimatum, the government of Stevid will feel there is enough casus beli to declare war in support of New Empire. However the first move of a war between the two sides, military analysts believe, will come from the Holy Empire itself. The full military mobilisation is such a variable in this situation that it cannot be ignored.

As tensions rise also between Morrdh and Dukopolious, tensions with an political atmosphere comparable to a Cold War, Stevid continues to remind the Dukes that their presence in New Empire is hugely unwelcome. This fact has been massively emphasised with a huge deployment of naval assets including a super dreadnought and multiple aircraft and assault carriers. The contingent of vessels have been split up into multiple 'Splinter Fleets' but two defined bulk of fleets are at sea at the moment with one heading towards New Empire from the North via Morrdh territorial waters while the other has recently passed into the waters of Independent Hitmen to pick up further military assets that have been stationed there as part of an ongoing, and fruitful, alliance.
Military commanders and politicians have been tight lipped and professional about their military intentions and plans but have released enough information into the public domain for Dukopolious to realise that sooner or later, the Holy Empire will be removing Duke military assets from New Empire by force unless they do so themselves.

The Devil's in the Desert

Acadian Rangers under mortar fire.

The temperature was roughly 22 degrees. It was the second half of the Acadian Ranger/Malkier Devil match. And boy did the day get off to a bang. The 2nd Company, Squad C (Pictured Above) while in pursuit of a Devil force was not only walked into a minefield but also came under some intense Mortar shelling. For once the choice of the Acadian Rangers uniform came in handy as the "Move like a fox" half of the team motto became reality as the Rangers routed as fast as possible to avoid any further losses. Retaliatory counter-battery strikes were launched at the assumed location of the Devil's mortars, unfortunately for the Rangers the Devils had already packed up and bugged out and were making their way North-West to assist in the assault on the Rangers 1st and 3rd Company who were taking part in a relief operation to rescue a downed Iroquois.

Faith must have been smiling on the Rangers for this operation as from over the hill on the Devils flank came the 4th Company lead by the bright up and comer Lt. Robert Flint (The company's commander had been KIA'd in an earlier skirmish today) who quickly began to smash into the Devils 4th and 2nd companies and the 4th Company, Squad D(AR) lead by the veteran Sgt. Gavlin managed to capture the mortars that had caused such torment in the earlier hours of the match.

However this was to prove to be the highpoint of the day for the Rangers. As the Iroquois dusted off from the down-site the radios started to scream with the fact that the whole of 2nd Company was under attack from superior numbers and artillery strikes. This was the Devils using the home ground advantage to their best ability. By using their intimate knowledge of the area the Devils had organised their 1st, 3rd and 5th companies to attack the enemies supply baggage which was only being lightly guarded by the Rangers 2nd Company. Within minutes the Rangers forces were all out of the fight while the Devils stole as much ammo as they could carry and ruined the enemies water supply.

This was the nail in the coffin for the Rangers as with the water supply down, a failed attempt by 4th and 5th Companies to capture the Devils water supply rewarding nothing but massive losses, the team started to take Attrition damage until at 16:26 the last Acadain Ranger was out on Attrition. The victorious Devils saluted the defeated Rangers as they boarded the buses for home.

Vaccine Shortage Leads To Black Market

Influenza Cases Rise As Underground Trade Thrives

Following last month's warehouse fire, now believed to have been arson, in the Jonestown borough of Morrdun that resulted in the destruction of a large cache of medicine there now exists a shortage in vaccine to combat the latest outbreak of Influenza. Local health authorities have enacted rationing measures to ensure that the vaccine's coverage is maintained effectively, but the Ministry of Health has pointed out that additional vaccine stocks are being acquired.

The criminal element has been quick to take advantage of the current crisis, an increase on thefts and extortions has been reported in the poorer districts. In some cases gangs have actively gone round mugging and assaulting persons for their vaccines mainly to keep themselves safe and to profiteer. A number of less than honest landlords have also withheld the vaccine from their tenants and sold on to local gangs. Unfortunately there has been a sharp rise in the number of persons infected by Influenza and, in some cases, a higher death rate. Parliament has recently passed the Emergency Vaccines Act in response, effectively outlawing anyone attempting to profiteer off the current crisis.

As tasked by the Home Office police raids have more than tripled with dozens of arrests in the past week alone, whilst a number of hotels, schools and workhouses have been commandeered to serve as emergency hospitals for the infected to lessen the burden on municipal hospitals. Though a number of the worst hit districts, mostly slums lacking basic utilities and already earmarked for clearance, have been quarantined pending the evacuation of local residents. These very same districts will have their vaccine rations doubled once additional supplies become available, something that is expected to happen in the coming weeks.

IMPERIAL GOVERNMENT DOWNPLAYS FEARS OF FLU SPREADING FROM MORRDH.

The minister of Health Martha Blackburn has today released an official announcement to downplay fears of a possible flu pandemic spreading from popular Matthewian tourist hotspot Morrdh, to The Matthew Islands.
"The Matthew Islands health service is more than prepared for a flu outbreak. Stockpiles of masks, vaccines and sanitation fluid are at an all time high and both the Imperial committee for public safety and the Independent Commission on Public Health have both released reports praising the preparedness of Hospitals and health services in the country and colonies. I have also held talks with both the Home Secretary, Prime Minister regarding construction of a plan if a similar out break were to occur."

The statement coincided with an official statement from the Foreign and Colonial office. The statement read,
"Citizens of The Matthew Islands who are planning holidays in Morrdh are advised to take caution and report to your local GP for a booster shot of vaccine two days before the trip and are also advised to pack a small number of face masks and sanitation gel. These measures are not designed to put people off travelling to Morrdh, its perfectly safe. These measures just help stop the spreading of any potential flu virus, which is in everybody's interest."

It has also been reported that the Imperial Government is preparing to send surplus supplies of vaccines, face masks and sanitation gel to Morrdh to help them cover there needs after a blaze at a warehouse destroyed much of the Morridane governments vaccine stocks. No official announcement has been made yet, but inside sources in both the Royal Navy and Royal Airforce have reported that supplies are being stockpiled in Royal Auxiliary cargo ships and Airforce C-130's.

The Home Office has also revealed that it is increasing police security on government warehouses to try and combat potential threats from criminal gangs aiming to steal vaccines and sell them on the Morridane black market. A empire wide special police division with support from intelligence services is reported to have been created to track known smugglers operating in The Matthew Islands.

Wildcat Airways Lands Major Lamonian Contract

In business news today the Morridane airline Wildcat Airways Ltd announced that it had won a major contract with the Lamonian government much to the surprise of many people. Having only begun flying in the Free Republic a little over eight months ago, Wildcat Airways was a surprise contender for the contract and was up against a number of domestic Lamonian airlines. It seems despite being the underdog the bush airline certainly has made an impression on the Lamonians.

With alot of work ahead of it Wildcat Airways has put in a request for aircraft and pilots with the Morridane Air Transport Auxiliary, a military run civilian organisation that provides logistical support for the Commonwealth Armed Forces. Already a number of MATA transports have been flown into the Morridane airbase in Lamonia including the MATA's workhorse the Douglas Dakota. It is understood that around fifty aircraft are to bolster Wildcat Airways' operations in the Free Republic, though we can only speculate on the nature of the contract until such a time that the Lamonian government releases an official announcement.

While the remaining IPv4 RNS can support the new internet format, the scale and scope of HiCT refurbishment under the guidance of HIRSr is considerably greater; the electronic media branch of Haishan's junta seek to completely eliminate metallic trunk cables used in HiCT sector into high capacity fiber optic lines in order to fully embrace IPv6 connectivity and ensure a more faster, reliable and secure data exchanges between internet networks in Haishan.

The last breakthrough of HiCT challenge would be usage of digitized wavelength - division multiplexing format for the output of the servers, separating each network connection into their own wavelength of light to realize a true high capacity fiber optic cable connections. All of these summed up allow Haishan's optical-based net connection up to 150 GB/s network speed between and within the unique network blocs before delivered to the end users, essentially boosting up Haishan's average land line network speed up to one hundred times faster than when IPv4 and copper cables reign supreme.

The future for research institutes are brighter; HIRSr had recently made moves into upgrading inter-institute network to reach terabytes level data transfer rates in order to facilitate information exchanges between supercomputers in majority of Haishan's research institutes. HSLT-8 had recently announced to the public that it seeks to commercialize the integrated photonic chip technology used in Haishan's land line networks for ordinary civilians, as stated by its Chief Region Operator Hassei-Kuryvoc, "Well okay, Haishan have gigabyte levels of connections between the main server clusters. The last bottleneck in the chain would be the devices attached to the network, I mean what good is the connection speed if your device cannot accept it fast enough?-"

"-We have around three point seven billion people now, and that represent a huge market for HiCT. They still use legacy systems designed for IPv4, no optical connection or some sort, well most of their devices did have it but they're simply not fast enough, not fast enough to process the incoming information from the network and well, we need to solve this. To exactly give what our customers expect from the introduction of the all new IPv6 format and full-optical network of Haishan. We need to give our best, and we will prove our promise to our customers."

Miriko-Net however remained neutral on HSLT-8 plans as it currently enjoy a huge equity share over Haishan's mobile telephone networks as much as permissible by HIRSr and the Haishan's junta themselves though Miriko-Net had recently denounced HSLT-8 recent plans on the reason that such large scale implementation can potentially mean the end of mobile telephones for good. HIRSr had announced that it's working toward IPv10, for usage of research institutes and crucial governmental network links between the junta departments to ensure highly secure, top-of-the-line land-based communication lines and assured such network is still backward compatible with the newly rolled IPv6 when asked by Haishan's top junta officials. Morridane-Killian Border Tensions Rises

In recent months relations between the Commonwealth of Morrdh and its southern neighbour the Imperial Republic of Hailandkill have worsen following the election of the new Killian President Eric Johnson. Relations between the two nations have typically been cool and border skirmishes aren't uncommon, but President Johnson's more aggressive stance has seen already shaky relations drop to the lowest they've been since the last border conflict of a few years ago.

Despite the history of poor relations and frequent skirmishes there is a feeling in the Commonwealth that it stands on the threshold of a major conflict. Over the past week the Morridane Army has been mobilizing troops and deploying units to positions in the South-West Territory, though only the so-called Border Division remains stationed on the actual border. Even with an impending conflict the troops, a mixture of National Service conscripts and battle hardened regulars, are in high spirits as they move up to their positions by the truckload under the sound of bagpipes and cheers.

An optimistic view prevails amongst the soldiers now sat in a trench warily watching the south, in the words of one soldier; "We're expecting the Killies any day now, but we stand ready to do our duty for Crown and Country. Tis why many of us serve, to defend our country and give the Killies a kick up their backside!"

PING, The Most Powerful Supercomputer In Haishan

SOLZOT - Parallel Integrated Neural Group (PING) built and maintained by Azieha ICT Institute took first place in the CasCADE competition backed by Haishan's Defense Ministry, beating other four supercomputers namely ASTRAL (Vakolev Energy Institute), CIDE (Hahao Kinematics Institute), FICON (Phroze Instruments) and Pineapple (Kato Installation) at staggering margin of exponentially 1.5 times faster than its closest competitor, ASTRAL. The 1.7ƕ b (NSD 0.85b) supercomputer reached up to one exaflop (10¹⁸ floating operation point per second) which is made plausible by its revolutionary design; the sheer computing power of PING is realized through usage of 3D IC, incorporation of photonic time multiplexing division (PMTD), implementation of prismatic doubly twisted torus (PDTT), inclusion of photonic pipe bonds (PPB) and usage of a new supercomputer programming language known as PHC+.

The implementation of such format also allow extremely dense processors as the signals used can traverse in all three axes, significantly reduces the size of processor used by PING.

This format however represent an exemplified heat problem, which was solved with direct incorporation of micro-fluidic water channels primarily located on main heat generating areas (such as the CPU cores) to conduct the heat away. Taking advantages of these solutions, the engineers of Azieha ICT Institute took another quantum leap forward; PING features a 36-core dense vector processor design known as Turaza.

The processor design was later upgraded to include graphical processor units (GPUs) within its architecture, creating a hybrid supercomputer processor that have an exponential performance increase compared to the original given GPUs are designed to run calculations in magnitude of hundreds and above simultaneously. Computer engineers of the institute then incorporated PMTD to reduce signal lag between processor blades of PING; unlike the PMTD used by Haishan's optical network that utilize eight coloured lasers, PING uses sixteen coloured lasers format.

This PMTD communication format is further enhanced by photonic pipe bonds - micro scale optical pipes connected to the fiber optic cable port which pipes are designed to shift the received or transmitted laser pulse from/into the connected fiber optic cable to/fro the photonic chip's laser detectors, greatly increasing the I/O rate of PING's processor blades as it increases the surface contact area of the optic cable to the connected photonic integrated communication chips(PICCs) used by the supercomputer. The same pipe technology is also used to connect the more distant processor components of PING together, increasing inter-chip communication efficiency within a processor blade.

The usage of PMTD is optimized by PDTT configuration whereby each processor blade in 32x16 stack are three dimensionally interconnected to each other with roughly the same parallel cable length. PDTT ensures all processor blades used by PING are mostly used equally, thus evenly distributing the computing load and significantly reduce heating problems. PING uses an adaptive supercomputer programming language known as PHC+; all of the language features are executed in parallel by default and it's fully compatible with most mathematical symbols. The language also features 'distributed flash switching' and 'heuristic correlation' feature which are intended to make full use of wideband PICCs, multi-core systems and optimize parallel and/or cloud computations.

The Azieha ICT Institute had recently announced a grand plan whereby it seeks to further increase and maintain the performance of PING than currently, to allow extremely complex simulations such as weather prediction. However as per now, it's expected that PING will see much usage by Haishan's economy and tertiary sectors, from emulating pollution control schemes to kinematics research and to nuclear research, to name a few.
