The year is 2095. The Valurcean Empire had been launching manned and unmanned missions into space since 2011. After over 160 years of Valencian, Valurcean and Soviet space exploration and research, the Valurcean Empire has successfully colonized another galaxy. The planet of "Stovis" was named the capital of the star system. Due to the large sum of time and money required to send this expedition to this galaxy, this was the only one to be sent for the next 40 years. Three times before, unmanned spacecraft were sent to two of the planets in this star system, and only one planet was deemed habitable. A massive ship was sent, with nearly 110 tons of supplies, and over 10,000 colonists. It took over 25 years to reach the planet of Stovis, and now, the ship has run out of fuel, and it glide-landed onto the planet. When the doors opened, oxygen flooded the ship from the planet. One man took off his space helmet, and was able to breathe easily. The atmosphere was equal to Earth's. The rest of the colonists removed their space suits, and began unloading the supplies. There was a platoon of Rangers on board, about 50 of them. They set up a perimeter. The ship had landed in the middle of a field, with grass that was not quite the same as Earth's, it was taller, and more.... magical, as they described it.
There was a nearby forest, with tall, strange looking trees and animals. As the ship landed, they saw hundreds of weird looking 5 legged animals running from the site, into the forest. In the distance, there were mountains so tall that they couldn't see over the top of them. The helicopter on the ship was brought off into the field, and the two Rangers that were pilots got in, started it, and began to scout the area. They radioed in a few minutes later, expressing disbelief and amazement at the planet. The colonists were equipped with technology that only existed with them, as only one prototype of each advancement was made to be sent with the colonists. Almost immediately, they began cutting the grass out of the ground, and they sent samples of each plant found to the science lab onboard the ship. They sent a radio transmission to Earth, but they knew it wouldn't arrive for a long, long time, so they said the date and Valurcean time along with it. That's if it even reaches earth at all. Most of the colonists that left were around age 20, and now, all of them are either in their late 40s or 50s. They had children, who were now in their teens or 20's. They left Earth with about 10,000 people, now there are a little over 15,000.
The scientists activated the extraterrestrial life detector, and sent out signals to the surrounding galaxies, just in case.
It is now 2125, and a futuristic colony has been established on the new planet. They have made massive technological advancements, that those on Earth can only dream of. There are over 200,000 people now on the planet, and that number is expected to reach over 1,000,000 in the coming years. Rapid reproduction is key, as the Valurcean Space Agency made it clear that there should be over 1 billion people on the planet within 100 years of colonization. It is now 30 years since colonization. Most of the original colonists that left Earth are dead, and their grand children have taken over from their children. The inhabitants of this new planet are now at their 3rd generation, and they call themselves Stovisians. The entire planet surface has been, for the most part, mapped out. Scientists believe there is still over 85% of the planet not explored. There are now two cities, with multiple other villages and towns spread out throughout 250 miles of the original landing point. The space ship used to reach Stovis is now a monument, and a memorial.
The year is now 2200. There are over 9 billion people on the planet, and scientists estimate that 55% of the planet has now been explored. There are thousands of cities all over the globe. The industries of this new colony have been greatly expanded and advanced, with a functioning economy in place. There are nearly 150 satellites in orbit, over 60 new species of animals have been domesticated, and there is now a space fleet of 5 ships, with a wet fleet of 680 ships. It is confirmed that humanity is the only "intelligent" race on the planet. There have already been 6 space missions to explore the rest of the star system, with successful results. The last contact with Earth was 105 years ago, and since, no more space missions have been sent to Stovis. The Valurcean Empire assumed that the colonization of Stovis is successful, and has cut the space program's budget by nearly 800 billion dollars. This means Valurcea will not return to anything other than Sol for a while. However, the Valurcean Galactic Empire has accumulated nearly $860 trillion of wealth, compared to Valurcea's $610 trillion, with only half the population.
Space exploration and transmissions confirm that there are no space-going intelligent life forms for thousands of light years. This will leave the Valurcean Galactic Empire to independently develop, free from outside ideas or intervention.
