Announcement

Topics of this announcement:

-Activity
-Ledger
-Intros
-Expansions
-New Moderator!
-Quest

Alright welcome back to Ceaden members both old and new! I hope you all are enjoying yourselves and are not having to hard of a time with anything. As Chief Admin I am going to be going through and cleaning up a few things, washing out old players who are not participating and freeing up the land they are holding. So for those of you who are still continuing you NEED to post here in the main thread that you are doing so, this was I can clean up and get rid of some of the clutter.

Also for those members who intend to remain active you need to post your economic information and keep it updated here:Ledger. This is vital, because if you dont keep it updated here it dosnt count! This is so other members can reference and say "Oh shit I dont wanna invade this big dude." And for the moderators to say "This guy is jacked up." Or "Its so pretty all of his numbers are right and whatnot, yay." If you need any help please do not be afraid to ask the staff.

Intros! For those of you new members get to working on those, you cannot participate in the upcoming quests until they are complete and you cannot expand until they are complete. So get to work!

Expansions! For those of you still working on expansions keep working on them. I know currently: Bennor, Fardoot, and Achesia are doing expansions so continue with those. Dont be afraid to expand, keep going at it, I would like to see some boarders touching sometime so that we can get some Realm on Realm action going.

In other exciting news Ceaden has added a new moderator! Aelosia! She will be helping allot with moderating battles, working with new members on their numbers, and keeping everything neat and tightly around Ceaden. Show her the same respect you would show me, she'll being helping out Ceaden allot!

Quests! Quest sign ups start tomorrow! I'll be posting a thread for sign ups and OCC discussion tomorrow and there you can apply and talk of the happenings of the quest which will start later.

Good Talk,

-Achesia

Anyway, * resisting urge to fight*, what should my next step be other than attacking that big temple.

I updated my focus map and added some additional stuff.

Image
(I forgot to keep the blank, so I have to draw it again, hence the slight changes on border.)

List of improvements:

Small Stone Walled Settlement * 4 (400 Stone, 1,200k credits)
Mine * 1 (3,000 Wood, 500k credit)
Grand Bazaar * 1 (1,000k credit, 1,500 wood)

Resources Change:
Stone: 1312.5 -> 912.5
Wood: 16,800 -> 12,300
Credit: 5,000k -> 1,800k

GDP, PPC, and Tax Rate:
(Assuming my population of 2,500 is correct)

PPC: 1+0.4+0.75=2.15 (credit/person)
GDP: (Not yet included the resource bonus)
Tax Rate: 10%

Still working on the army thing. The GDP is lower than I expected, but then again, serves me right for claiming a lifeless desert and emphasise it that much. :lol:

About to, having to work on homework, and now I'm going to make a unit out of this here, any ideas for stats and such?

Species Name: Grey Ganaloid

Family: Mammals

Technology Level: Grey Ganaloids use Mousterian tools, the tools neanderthals and humans used in europe around 50,000 years ago, stone or bone spears, axes, clubs, and the like.
Average Height: Five foot seven inches

Average Length: four foot one inch (not counting tail), tail makes eight feet, and thats not counting the six inch spike on the end of the tail.

Legs and arrangement: Grey Ganaloid have three legs, two at the front serving as the main form of movement, and one more at the base of the tail, serving to making running bounds and give massive jumps, the back leg has two sets of bones and is really two legs fused together, the third rear leg is kept off the ground when relaxed, walking, or just running with no leaps or bounds in the stride. The feet have eight toes, forming a circle that wraps around rocks, branches, and other materials in a solid grip that most of the time requires breaking bones to break.

Arms and Hands: Two arms come out of the side of the creature, just on top of the legs and end in six fingered hands (One finger on each hand is a thumb), on the end of the six fingers and eight toes are short, strong claws that while sharp, serve more for climbing, digging, and gripping than slashing and killing.

Speed: Relatively fast for something it's size, Grey Ganaloids run an average of forty-two miles-per-hour, and can go like this for an hour or two, this in thanks to it having three hearts and two pairs of longs, ensuring a constant supply of oxygen to the muscles and ensuring that none of the hearts overwork themselves.

Diet: The Long head of the Grey Ganaloid is filled with 64 teeth, twice that of your average human, and the front half are all for eating meat, being sharp and serrated, while the back teeth are for grinding plants and bones, making the Grey Ganaloid a Omnivore with a preference to meat.

Appearnce: The Grey Ganaloid is a mammal covered in short fur thats most commonly grey and sometimes brown, black, or white. The head is an odd arrangement containing six eyes, giving it 360 vision that includes the skies above it.

Numbers: Grey Ganaloids group together int ribes of 25-250 average, sometimes reaching 500 or more, and aren't nomadic, once they have a location, they stay there until they are forced to move. When hunting, they move out in groups of 3-20, at least one member has a spear, and one a bow, usually just a bendy branch with animal sinew strung across it, giving them limited but effective ranges.

Tail: The rail is 3'11" ending at the base of a boney spike, wich adds another six inches to the animals length, the tail is thing with small bones in it, making it fast and whiplike, while the protruding bone is a barbed spike, used to rip the throats off of prey and predators.

Jumping: Then the rear leg is used for jumping, it jumps 50 feet straight up and 40 feet straight, from a resting postion, giving them running bounds of 120 feet or more, the front legs absorbing the shock of impact, or pushing it on whatever they are attacking, knocking them over and breaking bones.

Life Span: 30-40 years, a childhood of about seven, raised in a "litter" of about three "Cubs", and born live, not laid in an egg.

Habitat: Grey Ganaloids are extremely adaptable, and have managed to move into most habitats. However, they are most commonly found on plains and Savannahs.

So then I have looked at my focus map and I currently have no earthly idea how I am going to factor in how many square miles I have of each different kind of terrain and the fact that I am fully surrounding by water is further compounding me because it effects my population amounts as well. If someone could please help me in figuring out the correct figures for terrain I would greatly appreciate it and I could start placing improvements down on the focused map afterwards. I am sorry to be such a pain but its been awhile since doing any sort of strenuous math and I really have no idea how to measure miles in this accurately.

I Made a rough box around mine, measured that and used those resources slightly lower to compensate, I few I went over and a few I went under in all likelihood.

Yeah deserts stand to do that to you. However idk if Wistval is still with us. So he may disappear and you may be able to expand into some better land. Make sure to post all of your economic info in the Ledger thread.

Its no prob once you do it once its simple. Really I round most distances to easy numbers, theres no crime in that. If you look in the marginal information on the map in the key there is a black half box, each of the sides are 100 miles, if you copy and past one of those lines near your land on the map you can measure it.

Here is how I calculated your population:

350 Miles of coastline

100milesx100miles of land= 10,000/4= 2,500*3.5= 8,750 population

For the terrain features like I said you just need to copy and past that measure on the main map and eye ball it. No worries, if you need further help let me know.

[23:24] <Marquesan> I have the feeling that all the porn videos you watch are like...set to Primus' music, Ulysses.

I think I figured out what was wrong with your PPC. I believe it is because your factoring water into it. That in fact is my mistake because I believe the rule on that is confusing. Take that out and you should be fine. Just factor coastline into the PPC not the actual area of water.
