FUUU

90 million and a 950,000 man army?

Not to happy with that...I have issues with have more than 1% of the population in its military because that commonly means bad economy...

Population: 115,000,000(115 million)
Standing army:1,500,000/6,250,000/350,000(1.5 million active/5.75 million available manpower/350,000 conscripts-irregulars-militia available)

The first section is the active troops,second is the most possible through mass recruitment and a great strain on the economy(mass mobilization). The third is the irregular forces,conscripts and militia(not very effective,cheaper equipment,less experienced,usually guerrilla warfare and only fight within the national territory when needed)

*I used to be Qatarab so i'm not new to this, however i will submit a new application. Location on map doesn't matter to me as long as i'm nowhere near the ocean/sea*

Not really true in the WW1 era, most nations had 5% or more in the military at the time. Stuff doesn't cost what it does now. Shit, New Zealand had 10% - 43% of the total male population available.

Also, we've got two sides, the Northern Pact (New E., N. Orus, tKoK) and the Imperialist/Monarch (Not the butterfly) Pact (Alissia, Neo Arcad). Now we need to figure out which other countries are going to support who.

Hmm. I could not possibly be part of imperialist/monarch pact since my nation was a democratic republic at that time(true history of Arkotania). I'd have to opt for Northern Pact but that would make it quite a large group and also stick Neo Arcad in a terrible position. Another thing is one side has a communist nation and the other a fascist. I guess i could be neutral like the US in WW1 but also sell equipment to some country or countries involved in the war?(The fact that we are landlocked allows us more research and funding in the land and experimental air areas. A nicely working economy would provide a good source of income to our nation. So we can sell all sorts of stuff to which nation asks for it).

Come at me, I have geography like Switzerland and my military hasn't a need for a navy - so I do suppose I can field more soldiers per capita than any other nation here.

This could be another conflict separate from the main one! Maybe Golandia invades because of Trivval isn't letting Golandia use trade routes to the north. Or maybe Trivval took land from Golandia many years ago and Golandia wants to get it back. This is good stuff!
