The battle was beginning to heat up. Smoke filled the air from burning debris, and bullets whizzed by Juan as he laid in cover behind a rock in the main entrance of the WCCP base. Time was beginning to run short on securing vital intel on Makarov and they needed to get through the base quickly. And while Diego's men had regrouped with them the WCCP was fighting fiercely against the oncoming assault by the JSF and the CSF.

The machine gun nest in the main building of the entrance was delaying their advantage. Someone had to take the squad manning the gun out. Or they would all be slaughtered. Juan looked at his squad. " Alright that machine gunner needs to go down just like every other commie in this base. I need a team of two men to take out that gunner nest. The rest of us will provide suppressing fire to get you close enough to throw a frag into the building. It might not kill all of them but they won't be able to use that position if we manage to succeed. Know head out! "

Juan turned towards the house and began to fire three burst rounds towards the house. Trying to give whoever volunteered time to get into position to throw a frag into that house. Once they got rid of the machine gun nest they would be able to head into the base.

James rolled his eyes. He couldn't work with Laine in her particular state, and the battlefield wasn't proving good either. "Jaun! Laine took some Novan pills! She's in no fit state to fight in her condition! Get those AAA sites down so I can call in a CASEVAC! He radioed to Juan. Trying to force Laine to sit down, he picked up his Minimi and checked the area for hostiles. "Laine, we're exposed out here - get your head together, now!"

"Gah, even I c'n see the tracer fire stopped, like I said... I can still shoot..." She was resisting James, getting used to movement again. After making the possibly wiser decision to try and keep her head below cover, she turned to face the man that was obsessing over her health, perhaps too much.

"Whas'so different about Novan pills, eh?" Laine started to move through the safe sectors of ground that she didn't see anyone firing on, her sluggishness was slowly fading away as she walked out of the destroyed tree line and towards the Cuban forces that had since taken the monstrous vehicles that fired on them not even an hour prior.

Rifle slung and kit balanced horribly on her back, she made a decent pace forwards; with all the time they'd spent in the forest they were probably behind everyone else, maybe even the reserves by now.

Two soldiers from the CSF stepped up and began to head towards the machine gun nest. As Lopez and several other soldiers provided suppressing fire for the two men they each got to the edge of the building safely. One of the men grabbed a frag, the soldier then began to cook it for several seconds and tossed it through a window towards the upstairs building. Seconds later a scream was heard along with an explosion. The machine gun nest was gone. They were ready to advance into the base.

Things weren't going as well as planned however. Two of his members weren't even in sight. (Laine and James) he really had a couple of soldiers on him he barely knew. Only Scott he knew well. The Gurudan. He would use what he had however. Lopez hoped however that Laine and James would show up soon though. At least he had the CSF and Diego by his side.

Fighting throughout the base a radio transmission come through to Lopez's headset. " Juan my soldiers think they found some information useful to your cause. Come a building around 100 meters from your position. Don't worry all the enemies in the area have been wiped out, bring a few of your men however in case the WCCP decides to attack.

Juan began to head towards Diego's position. With several of his men following behind. As he reached the building he found Diego with his men taking out files out of cabinets and looking at computers screens.

" So what do we have Diego? "

" Nothing about Makarov right now. But we got some pretty important thing still. Look at this file, it reveals all the locations of WCCP camps across Western Cuba. It's strange though some are located even in Camaguey. "

" Camaguey, do their government even realize that remnants of the WCCP are even located their? That's a threat to their national security. "

" I don't think so, however there is more. "

" What is it Diego? "

" The WCCP has a nuclear warhead on them. Actually several of them. One's located in Yaz, they plan to blow up several cities in Western Cuba. "

" And you found this information that easily? "

" WCCP security is pretty weak, however though one nuclear warhead is located in Yaz right now. According to this file it's in an abandoned hangar. We got to head out before they escape with it. "

Juan quickly ordered his team to head out, they didn't know Makarov's location but they did know he planned on having revenge from being overthrown. The lives of his countrymen were at stake. Finding the first nuclear warhead would be a big step in taking down Makarov's plot. The CSF and Juan began to head to the abandoned hangar. Which was located around 1/3 of a mile away from their location. Every time they got closer however resistance began to get bigger. They had already lost 4 CSF soldiers and another 4 wounded. JSF casualties were unknown. However the casualties were mounting and they only had limited resources. They would have to get this down quickly.

James hadn't gotten anything but static on radio. Swinging around, he slammed himself against a tree, and slumped onto a knee. Picking up his machine gun, he sent the M145 optic to his eye, and fired a few rounds at a target that was moving. Firing a burst, the target gradually came to a stop, flailing it's arms about. Looking around the gun fire had stopped, along with an explosion. "Laine! Sound off!" He shouted, taking a look behind himself.

Getting up and moving again, the sound of talking becoming noticable in his ear. The WCCP have nuclear warhead on them. Was all that he heard. Clicking his radio, he spoke. "What the hell do you mean they have a warhead?! That's bollocks!" He shouted down his radio. Waiting for a reply, he met up with Laine, sweating like an animal. "Laine, stop! Where the hell are we, anyway?" He asked.

Scott kept following closely to Lopez, only stopping when they reached the machinegun nest. He kept suppressive fire on the enemy position with the others, until they were ready to continue their advance. As they moved forward, Scott glanced behind him hoping to see others from the JSF, but his view was empty of familiar faces. Giving a light sigh he raised his rifle as the danger ever increased, making sure to follow closely behind Lopez, ready to cover him if necessary. Grouping up with Diego and other members of the CSF, Scott pushed his back up against the doorway, and looked out behind them to make sure no WCCP soldiers were on their way. Turning around to reload his rifle, he half listened to the conversation between Lopez and Diego, as they were surrounded by valuable information.

Carefully looking down the hallway his index finger lightly tapped agains the rifle's trigger guard, only to stop when he overheard part of the conversation. Any mentioning of nuclear weapons was never good, and its presence altered the state of the entire mission. Through his earpiece the sudden and angry voice of James broke through, clearly not happy about the weapon either. As Juan was talking, Scott took it upon himself to respond back.

"James, it's Scott, we're still getting more information on it," he said calmly. "Where are you guys?" Letting off of his radio, he gave another quick check down the hallway, still trying to listen in on the mission's status. "I'll be right behind you, Juan" Scott said pushing himself off of the wall as Lopez ordered them to move. "I don't know if you heard, but get ready to hear from James, too."

Juan Lopez

" I hear you Scott. ", Juan shouted as he hid behind a truck when small arms fire began to concentrate on him. " You keep talking to James and tell him where we are heading and that he needs to meet up with us. Juan then tossed a flash bang over the truck entering the radius of the WCCP soldier, the stun grenade caught the WCCP soldier off guard and he dropped his gun in shock and flew back. Juan emerged from cover and fired a few shots into the WCCP soldier, therefore killing him.

" Alright it's time to advance, be sure to be on the lookout. The WCCP are experts at guerilla warfare and you have to watch your every step and every corner. For every step may be your last. " Juan, some of the JSF, and the CSF continued to advance towards the hanger but extra help had also arrived. LY7 Rottweiler Medium Tanks, 3 of them to be exact entered Yaz providing support for the CSF and the JSF. They began to concentrate their guns on almost every building known to be occupied by the WCCP. However though they were ordered to no matter what keep their guns away from the hanger.

WCCP

Vadim was inside an underground tunnel under the old hospital of Yaz. It was where he had his command center placed. The battle above ground was not going in his favor. The JSF and the CSF were quickly advancing across Yaz. Much of Yaz was being lost throughout the battle so far with low casualties for the JSF and the CSF. The WCCP were suffering heavy losses however though. As Vadim sat in frustration a soldier walked in. He didn't recognize the man but it had to be somewhat important.

" Colonel Kosov, I bring important news. "

" I assumed, what is it though. "

" The enemy is heading towards the hangar. " Vadim who was mostly ignoring what the young soldier was saying so far soon focused attention on the soldier.

" Do they know? "

" I believe so, their trying to reach the hangar as quickly as possible. They even brought tanks into Yaz to provide support. I think they know. "

" Well then soldier we got to take big measures in order to keep that warhead away from the CSF and the JSF. Even if we manage to survive the battle were dead if Makarov finds out we lost the warhead. Have the T-90 tanks to guard the hangar. "

" But we only have three Colonel. Their no match for the CSFs' tanks. The 3 T-90s would be taken out rather quickly. "

" The enemy tanks won't dare to fire shouts towards the tanks if their partly inside the hangar. One misfired shell and the warhead detonates. The President of Western Cuba wouldn't like having a crater around Yaz wouldn't he? "

" It will be done Colonel Kosov. Do you want to prepare evacuation for you? "

" The battle is not over yet soldier, and I am not satisfied till I know the nuclear warhead is secured. Now go on make sure the T-90 tanks get to the hanger. "

The young soldier walked out the room and the T-90 tanks were ordered to head towards the hanger. Which they did as quickly as possible in order to delay the CSF and JSF in getting towards the hanger. Hopefully allowing enough time for the warhead to be removed from the area.

James was still confused on the situation, so he didn't reply. He didn't need to have someone patronising him about not understanding it. Jumping over a log, he set the barrel of his machine gun on it's bark. "Laine, I need you to get your head together. In-case you didn't hear, Juan wants us to meet up with him to secure a hanger or something. Right now," He said, pulling out a map from his butt-pack, "We're a few klicks from it. We need to head to the village, and start getting into this fight."

Pointing to the hanger, and then outside of the village to where they approximatly were, James pushed the map back into his pack. "Lead the way - don't go too far ahead, just in-case we lose radio contact. And try not to die, will you?"

"All clear, what's our callsign?" She didn't wait or look back to see if he was ready, instead choosing to walk straight onwards, she tapped her helmet for a few seconds, something sounded loose, she tried to use some of the electrics inside before turning back to make another comment to James.

"HUD's down, so's radio" Laine made tracks towards the back line of advancing allies on their objectives.

Scott slid behind the truck next to Juan, trying to duck out of the way of the newest round of gunfire. Pressing the side of his body up against the vehicle he listened to his instructions. Shuffling his legs, he prepared himself to stand and fire as he saw Juan preparing a flash bang. "I will," he said with a sharp nod as the grenade flew over the truck, and into the path of an enemy soldier. Adjusting his body and firing on the enemy with Lopez, Scott didn't waste any time ducking back down once he saw the man fall. "Right behind you, again" Scott said leaving the protection of the vehicle and continuing the advance. Paying attention to detail he let his eyes bounce back and forth between the ground and the sights of his raised rifle, making sure he wasn't stumbling upon any traps. Thinking it had been too long since he heard a reply from James, Scott imagined it was radio issues and moved behind reliable protection allowing him to stop and attempt to regain communications.

"James and Laine, it's Scott again. If you can hear me, we're moving towards towards the hangar. Meet us there." Sighing as he secured his rifle, Scott stood back up and kept following closely behind Juan. He was trying to not let the thought of a split team and nuclear weapon phase him, but constantly checking his surroundings for WCCP threats kept his mind away from it.

"You're the one who decided to run in some random direction!" James countered, looking back and checking his radio. "Alright, we'll call ourselves Bravo, since we're in a second team." Pulling up his machine-gun, he began to follow Laine. "Just keep heading in that direction, and we'll be fine." He said, beginning to jog. "We've got to make up some distance since you decided to fall out that helicopter." James didn't like the thought of a warhead being activated right in the middle of this. He had only killed one person, and was disappointed that being a support gunner, or a medic, hadn't come to use in this mission. Either way, his priorities were making sure Laine was fit to fight, and getting to that hanger. "Laine, try to keep up!"

As Laine and James began to head towards Yaz a LY83 Fox 4x4 driving towards the town noticed Laine and James along the road. The two soldiers in the LY83 knew that Laine and James were no WCCP. They could easily tell by their armor, as most of the WCCP lacked any form of armor at all. Only the higher ranking and battle hardened WCCP soldiers had a set. The Sgt. who sat in the passenger seat ordered his private to stop the LY83 as they got close to Laine and James. He opened the front door of the LY83 and shouted to them. " You guys heading to Yaz? If so hop in, your quite a distance away from the battlefield. "

Lopez had sight on the hangar, but their was trouble. Three T-90 tanks were outside on the hangar guarding it. Quickly Juan went into cover and looked at Scott. They couldn't call in the armor, their was always the risk of destroying the hangar which the warhead was located in. " You got any ideas? "

Scott knelt down on his knees behind a concrete barricade, peeping his head just above to look at the hangar. He simply stared at the T-90's which single handedly stopped the advance, racking his mind for options. "I don't have any decent explosives," he directed at Juan, while he was still looking towards the tanks. "Do you?" He knew that even if they did have any anti-armor worthy ordinance, they would only have one chance due to the strength of the armor. "Since they're outside maybe we could swing around the back of the hangar and see if we can get inside from there. If we can clear it quietly they'll have their backs to us, and that's what we want. Maybe get some explosives on or underneath? I'll volunteer for whatever we have to do, but this is something everyone has to get involved in." At this point Scott was voicing ideas he was brainstorming, hoping someone would pick up and build off of them so they could remove the near indestructible obstacle.

James had been pushing up, and heard the jeep coming. "Get to the tree line!" He shouted, moving to his left. Running to a tree, he quickly moved around to face the road, and set down his machine gun. Seeing it pull up, he recognized it being one of the JSF utility vehicles. You guys heading to Yaz? If so hop in, your quite a distance away from the battlefield. Was the reply. Slowly getting up, he apologized for his actions. "I didn't know it was you guys. With the entrance the first lot made, it wouldn't be surprising if you were reinforcements for the WCCP." He said, twisting his stock, and then sliding it back down to position.

"Laine, come on! We've got a ride!" He shouted to Laine, putting his medical bag in the back of the jeep. Running around the left side, he opened the door, and while setting a foot in, he grasped the seat and clambered onto it, and eventually put his machine gun next to him. "Tell Second Lieutenant Lopez that we're on our way, and ask for a situation report." He said to the sergeant, taking his radio out and looking at it. "Let's see what the fuck's wrong with you, then..."

The Sgt. looked over to James and laughed. "We may be Cuban but we ain't no scum man!" The Sgt. looked over to the private and nodded, who then pressed down onto the pedal and began to head towards Yaz. " You know their are a lot of Juan's in Cuba, that's no surprise. However though I think I know who you are talking about. Pretty sure we attended military school together, let me radio him."

"Second Lieutenant Lopez this is Sgt. Alfonso Gonzalez of the CSF. I have Laine and James with me and we are on our way, what's the situation? " Alfonso waited for a few seconds and Juan began to respond back.

" This is Second Lieutenant Lopez, Laine and James are to meet us in front of the main hangar in Yaz. I'm taking inside a building, it appears to be a store called Ricardo's Appliances. Well whats let of it, it's practically torn apart. The roof's missing but the walls and the sign is still up show you'll be able to find it. Come from the back though and be aware. 3 T-90 tanks are in front of the hangar, so your dead meat if you go from the front. Remain on the look out and we'll see you guys in a few. Second Lieutenant Lopez out."

Alfonso turned over to James. " Were about to enter Yaz, well what's left of it. Most of the WCCP have been eliminated from where we are entering but I won't be surprised if they're a few hiding around. Get on the mini-gun in the back, I'll be a spotter for you. We'll be with Second Lieutenant Lopez in a few.

Meanwhile Juan and Scott along with a few other CSF and JSF soldiers remained in cover behind the wall's of Ricardo's Appliances." Sounds good Scott, we'll flank them. Once we enter the back of the hangar we'll shot down the soldier operating the smaller turrets on top the tank, and quickly plant some explosives on the tanks. They'll have to be small though. We don't want to destroy the hangar. Now we just have to wait for Laine and James. By the way does anyone even have explosives on them?"
