Mary shakes both their hands firmly.
" Delighted Gentlemen, to meet you.I must say that you are both very attractive, what a shame I am here as a representative of my nation. As the Queens representative, I cannot relax in our prefereed Elizabettan style. Still I extend to you an invitation to visit me at Sarnath Palace should you ever be passing our shores.
Now Gentlemen,As one representative to another I bring my Queens formal greeting & a hope for more contact & friendship in the future."
She takes a sip of her drink.
" Now the official bit is over, which of you gentlemen will allow me to honour them with a dance?"

The black H series pulled up on the street just outside of the main entrance to the Reich Chancellor's Palace. The car was painted completely black, it's windows tinted to the maximum setting established under Gibetan law so that you couldn't see the inside occupants unless you were outside opening the door, like vallet that had come to swing it open, distrupting the gold dragon emblazoned on the side of the car. To an outsider, it meant nothing except that it was a sick paint job. To any one residing in the Empire, it meant the Order of the Dragon, the personal bodyguards of the Rex Imperator and his family. Rarely were they seen in public and for good reason. It didn't usually mean good news.

The first man to step out of the car was a towering man, about half a foot over six feet tall and he was clothed in full black armor, the only thing keeping him from blending straight into the darkness of the night was the various gold coloring of his armor, his helmet had what appeared to most likely be a sort of dragon wings off of the sides and if one got close enough, one could see the gray hairs becoming prevelant on his beard and hair. He stepped out of the car first, making sure that he was covering the man coming directly behind him from any decent sniper shot. As soon as this was done, a third man exited the car, his clothes quite contrasting to that of the other two's. This man wore the full white formal dress uniform of the Itailian Navy, it prefectly ironed and creased where it needed to be and not a single stray wrinkle. The man's left breast was heavily adorned with medals and the rank emblem on his garrision cap signified he was Fleet Admiral Jon Morgan, the top Itailian naval commander. The other civilian was dressed in a dark navy blue suit with a white shirt that had blue stripes and a blue tie. In his hands was a similiarly blue briefcase, suitable to fit hundreds of documents but this one contained merely one. The group gave each other a look down to ensure they were all presentablely fit and dressed and then they proceeded to walk towards the entrance of the Palace, the Order member going first. As they reached the doors leading into the building the Order member broke off to walk around the front of the grounds and stay outside. No need to scare foreigners with a big bad Order member. Jon and the civilian, who was the Secretary of Foreign Affairs for the Twin Amanitte Empire Sergio Milani, continued to head inside, giving a curteous nod to any guard or guest that they happened to past as they entered the building. Upon their entrance, their mood's softened a little bit and Sergio handed the Admiral the briefcase and then began walking towards the bar where they were serving some fresh drinks and there also happened to be a few ladies. Jon in the mean time began to walk incognito through the ball, quietly and calmly his eyes were observing the crowd looking for the new Chancellor.

Gibet and the Empire go way back. Way way back. Gibet was part of a small, very tight knit three member alliance that the Empire was in as well, the third nation being Reformed Britannia. All three nations were exclusively close having been in close friendly contact for nearly half a century the bonds between each nation were exceedingly close. The Admiral and Sergio were simply here to remind the new Chancellor of these ...obligations.. as well as present him a house warming gift, dubbed so jokingly by the delegation on their car ride from the Embassy to the party. Jon continued to search the crowd, sometimes stopping to say a quick hello to a foreign delegate who recognized him.

Gau, having been lost in his own small world of artwork from the moment did not notice the approaching woman until she was almost on top of him. He gave a small start of surprise, almost spilling his drink before managing to regain control, the liquid sloshing a little as he mutters some curse at his lack of observation as he turned from the painting. Immediately he placed a smile upon his face, smoothing his uniform a little. He was not used to being at such events, but guessed this one would be a good starting point for learning, as Roger had told him there would probably be others that he would attend.
When he spoke it was with a confident tone, just the lightest hint of an accent that was not native to Denengrad. Unsure of himself, he gave a small bow at the middle, this seemed to work on most people he met.

“Ah, forgive me.. You’re majesty. It is a pleasure to meet you!”

He placed his drink down upon a table set just to one side, where it’s green colour attracted a few looks, and in once case a sneer. He then snapped a salute, the tips of his fingers resting against his officers cap, chest out slightly along with bars of rank and several medals.

“Major Gau Sylth. Denengrad Air Self Defence Force, at your service”

As she spoke he blinked a little at the words, slightly embarrassed but he attempted not to let this show though. It seemed he was going to the dance floor. He suspected it had not been a question of would he like to escort her there. More a statement that he was going to. This did cause a surge of minor annoyance, one that he quickly crushed before it got a chance to manifest itself.

“Of course, it would indeed be an honour”

Once more he gave a winning smile, before extending a hand to her, taking it and then leading the way though the guests towards the dance floor.

---

Roger gave a warm smile to the woman as she spoke, it was a thin smile, but warm none the less. He seemed almost incapable of a fully fledged smile. When asked about thin in past times he had always replied that it was part of the life of politics. People had then pointed out to him that other politicians smiled constantly, he told them it was because those ones where bastards.

“A pleasure to meet you, your highness. I am Roger Gilligan of Denengrad, my companion seems to be mingling at the moment, but I am sure you will meet him at some point”

Roger smiled lightly once more, he had noted the slight hesitation in her voice towards the end of her words. Interesting, he would have to look into this country a little more upon his return to the Capital. He then picked up his glass, and gave a small bow to all present.

“Now, please do excuse me, wont you?”

He bowed once more, then turned lightly, and slipped into the guests , his entire black suit standing out a little in the sea of tuxedos and fine gowns, but no matter. He moved slowly though the crowds, catching snippets of conversation hear and there. Mostly however he was simply browsing to see what nations had attended. From the look of things at the main entrance of the hall it looked as if a new arrival was imminent, however he could not get a good view over the heads of all those in the way. With a sip of his water he moved on.

Removing her breastplate, and passing it to another footman who she again summoned with a sharp whistle. With the breastplate gone the royal emblam of two cats reclining could be seen over her left breast, whilst her rank badge of Colonel could be sen over her right. On the dancefloor, there was a moment or two of confusion, until Mary remembered that here she had to let the men lead. She was suprised at how good a dancer her partner was.
After the dance she walked back to the group.
Reclining back into her chair she sipped her Gin.
" Gentlemen, taking into account all the flags, the grey uniforms & black coats, I will state with confidence that you are members of dictatorships, Fascist probably? Not a problem to us, after each country rules acording to the leaders wishes. In Elizabetta for instance we had the War of Nobles where we fought for dominance, that cost us 2,000,000 dead. After that we divided all commercial businesses between all the Noble Families. We also happily use slave labour in the mines to produce Poisons & pleasures, a business controlled absolutely by the Tudor family alone. I do however have one question."
She smiled but her eyes were hard watching for those facial & body mannerisms that spoke far more eloquently than words.
" How do your respective nations treat their women?"

Melissa smiles at Gaus obvious annoyance, though she had to admit it he hid it well.
" Please I am no Majesty merely a Princess, the title of Majesty is reserved for my aunt the Queen alone. As we are being formal, Senior Squad Leader Melissa Tudor, The Queens Royal Guard. Now let us dance.
To Gaus discomfort & probable annoyance several times during the dance she brushes her hand deliberately across his buttocks. When the dance ids over she links her arm in his and talking & walking at the same time steers him over to the bar.

Maximillian Pfieper sat quitely in the back the Mercedes Benz. To his right sat his beautiful mature wife Anna. Max is the Head of the Coreys Land Foreign Affairs, and is a good friend of the Furher Corey himself. Sitting directly across from Max is his son, Otto. Otto is a 1st Lt. in the Coreys Land SS, having taken temporary leave to attend this wonderful event with his father and his beautiful fiance Joanna.

As the Mercedes neared the palace Max drew a deep breathe and recited his formal greeting inside his head, Otto adjusted his medals and ribbons, while the ladies double checked their beauty.

The car came to a slow stop, the occupants waited as they heard the drivers door come to a close. " Show time" - Max said with a smile on his face as his door became opened from the outside. Once outside Max took Annas' arm and began to escort her inside of the palace, Otto and Joanna followed in identicle manner right behind them.

A black with gold trim car pulled up to the front of the Winter retreat. Out stepped a man in a military style uniform. It was Light Blue with large gold string and buttons and medals were numerous, the pants were black with gold trimming down the legs. The man himself was 6 feet tall, he had somewhat curly dark brown hair and clean shaven face. Another man stepped out behind him, however his uniform while sharing much gold trim and medals, was mainly Black with red trim on the legs and the buttoning. This second man had almost black hair and was more thin than the other, and was 5'10.

Both walked up to the door. "Dangit Robert I told you we'd be late," said the man in the black. "Charles dont worry about it, Im sure we will be greeted warmly." said Robert. They entered the palace behind the Corey's Land group that had just entered. They looked around to find the UWO, as the Lotrabme had meet their leaders before.

Gau quickly scanned the crowds for some hope of escape as he was taken to the dance floor, but there seemed to be no hope of such a thing at the moment.

“Ah, well that does sound a rather important title… how should I address you then?”

After that question he was silent for a short while as the dance continued, attempting not to stand on any feet and try and remember the basics of dance from many years ago at the academy, there had been many dances in those days and he managed to keep his footing and appear to know the routine. He actually jumped a little the first time he felt her hand against his rear, and did indeed find it a rather uncomfortable position to be in, since he was practically a prisoner at this point. Though he did manage to endure the dance and the wondering hand until the number ended.
He was rather relived when he was steered towards the bar, as at that moment he could do with a good drink after that dance. It was all so simple, we just had to find and kill Roger Gilligan, then the man could never bring him to another event like this again.
He coughed a little at his train of thought, and then gave a smile as the bar drew closer.

“So then, what prompted your Nation to attend such an event?”

He said this question, thinking it possibly the safest one to ask at the moment.

The Lotrabmean men walked up to the UWO delegate, and introduced themselves.

"Pardon the interruption but we have just arrived, I am Prince Robert R. Rickey the 3rd, Senator and Count of Edinbryhe, and Colonel of the Imperial Army, and this is Prince Charles Luke Kuzco Forgue, Prince of Cuzco, and Lieutenant General of the Imperial Army." He said extending his hand to the UWO senator. He also turned to the Gibet leader, "we are sorry for the delay in arrival, the travel from the Capital is very long."

Kruppe had mearly stood-by the wayside as the first few delegates had entertained themselves--he had watched thoughtfully as they intermingled and danced and drank. He had noticed that the one...oh what was his name? Gau? Yes, it had been Gau--Major. The Major apparently had quite the eye for art and it's lesser-extensions. To be entirely honest, the Chancellor could not help but think about how odd it was for a man such Gau to be so fine-tuned and schooled in the arts. Perhaps, should he have the time, he would have to talk to the Major more.

Meanwhile, more guests had arrived--the ballroom had begun to fill with the noise of talk and laughter, and the sweet, harmonious tunes of the band. They had filed through, one after the other, and each appeared to be beautifully well-dressed. Of course, as luck would have it, there were a few visitors from his country's own Itailian-Ally. It was apparent from a report by one of the guards outside the building that they were important--a large, ominous-looking man in black armor having been sent with them. Surely then, he had thought, they be here more on official business than mearly pleasure......

Kruppe had managed to make his way through the growing crowd towards one of the Itailians--this one clad in a magnificent Naval uniform. The man fit the description of a top-naval brass right down to the button--a chestfull of medals, an expert and well-disciplined manner about him. No doubt, an important representative of the Itailians. This man was, himself, making a few glances across the room and around it--apparently either taking-in the scene, or, more likely, looking for someone.

"Excuse me," He began as he approached this man in Naval white. "But I could not help but notice that you and your party arrived from itailia. I trust you had a pleasent flight?" He asked in a quizical-manner. Of course, he han't even asked the man his name or let alone his rank.

Jon turned to his right on an instant as soon as heard the voice ask the question. The man before him threw up, for Jon at least, the red flag that he was a politician. Not a bad thing, just a thing, an attribute. It wasn't anything really specific about him that gave him away, it was hard to describe, Jon just had this sense for picking out the politicians, even when they tried to mask themselves for who they really where.

He extended his hand for the man to shake, best to get off on the right foot Jon thought and philosophied so, o so many times. His face warmed up, bearing warmable, likeable traits that someone just looks for in a person when they are holding a conversation with him, looks that often got their own way. There was a reason the Navy was highly funded, and it wasn't because of a devilishly good track record in battle. Ok, partially it was, but not really.

A fairly tall silver and gold sedan pulled up to the entrance to the palace. When the valet opened the door, the Crown Prince of Malakthia exited the vehicle. Standing at an impressive 7' 3", the young man carried himself as a man a foot taller and twice his age. His goatee was trimmed, his brown dreadlocks washed and tightly woven, his royal clothing, a silver and gold jacket with holes for his wings to extend and golden pabts, although seen by some as slightly out of place, was an intentional decision on the part of Gideon. It was the first time a Malakthian royal had attended such a party since Malakthia was formed only 82 years prior, so every move he made tonight was of grave international importance.

Being only 20, the intricacies of politics were something Prince Gideon was trying to become accustomed to, but he already showed a talent for a cool head under pressure, evidenced by his acceptance into the Order of Gideon, the Malakthian Special Forces, at the mere age of 17. What he lacked in experience in the world political stage, he easily made up for in his pure instinct, his ability to see past the surface, and to help his father make quick and often ingenious decisions in what nobody would admit to be his declining state of physical, and some feared, mental health.

Nonetheless, this was new ground for him, so he stayed patient, picked up a glass of champagne, and began to shake hands and bow to dignitaries and their families.

"Ah," His expression shifted from one of unsuredness to one of beeming pride and joy. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Herr Admiral. As for me, I am Heinrich Kruppe--Chancellor of the Reich-State......" He smiles warmly. "At your service, of course."

Meanwhile, the band had slowed it's tempo and some of the more sofert melodies of Wagner poured out. A number of Gibetan dignitaries--namely Grand-Admiral Friedrich Doenitz and Chief-of-Staff for the Reserve army Anna von Hammer--had taken their own respective dates to the floor. Of course, the number of Gibetan officers invited and those of the foreign-diginatires was vastly different. There were by-far more foreigners in the room than native-Gibetans.

Still, the place echoed with the sounds of laughter, humor, melody, and the sounds of any other gathering place.

"Ah, yes, of course." Kruppe clasped his hands together in a sort of jovial pursuit. His face broadened as a smile crept upon him. He motions with his left hadn in the direction of a side-door. The door was marked as "Verboten"--meaning it was usually kept off-limits. However, the way Kruppe seemed to operate, it didn't matter.

Smiling warmly at Walter, Mary Tudor said " Well that is good to know. I am sure my dear sister will be delighted to talk further on the subject, and will no doubt extend an invitation to you to visit. She usually does. Still enjoyable though your company is gentlemen, I had best circculate. Until later."
Looking around the hall she spotted a person who stood at least 7' tall with brown hair & a beard. Walking over to the Crown Prince of Malakthia, she shakes his hand.
" Good evening, I thought I would introduce myself. I am Princess Mary Tudor, daughter of Catherine Tudor, and you would be?"

Meanwhile Melissa after leaving gau, had circulated studying people & listening to snatches of conversation. She saw her mother approach the giant, and watched with interest the new arrivals.
She liked the look of the two Lotrabmean arrivals and sauntered over to intoduce herself

He then extended his hand for a handshake, to congratulate the man on his well earned victory and hopefully destined success in the office. " Congratulations on your victory. I as it happens, have been looking for you, there is something that the Rex Imperator and the Council of Eight wish for me to bring to your attention. Perhaps we can go somewhere slightly more private? Incognito was we say in the Empire"

"This way. I usually keep this room off-limits to visitors--or even certain dignitaries for that matter. However, for our purpose, it will suit nicely"

As soon as the pair entered the side room, Jon stepped around the Chancellor and closed the door, making sure it was shut tight and he stood by the door for a few moments to ensure that no one had followed. The Minister wasn't needed for this part, his presence was simply a formality. Jon moved over to a small table that was near one of the room's corners, covered with a white sheet to protect from dust and other unwanted uncleaniness. He pulled the sheet off and then threw it onto a stack of chairs covered with a similar cloth that was nearby. He propped up the briefcase he had in his left hand and he set it on the table and then flicked open the two golden clasps and opened the lid to it and rather methodically pulled out a manilla folder, and from that pulled out a document and set the document ontop of the folder and both onto the table. He then pulled out a fountain pen and set it next to the document. He then pulled the top document off of the pile, looking to be a decent size, and set it to the left of the stack and then returned to face the Chancellor, who if experience said anything had numerous questions.
" I'm sure you have questions Chancellor, so I'll do my best to answer them. As you know, the Empire has long stood by Gibet's side, despite the fact violated several of our foreign affairs policies, but we've always remained allies since the Saladin-Gibet War all those many years ago, back before I was even a Naval Officer. Nostalgic tales aside, around four years ago delegations from three nations met in secret at Vinci. Those delegations were from the Empire(us), Reformed Britannia and yourself, Gibet. On that day, three allies who have been friends with each other through leaps and bounds sat down and formed what became known as The Triumvirate. If you wish to read the official establishing Treaty, it's that stack of documents on the right. However, to skip a long lesson, one of the stipulations in the Treaty is that if one of the heads of state who was present at the founding meeting dies or losses power, it shall be the responsibility of the other members to inform the new Head of State of The Triumvirate. This alliance is quite secretive, your respective legislatures do not know about it nor do even the advisors or Cabinet. To fulfill my obligations here tonight, I need you to sign that document on the left, which states you have been briefed by me on The Triumvirate and you acknowledge it's existence as well as the establishing Treaty and will be present at all The Triumvirate meetings hence forth called while you are in power and you pledge to keep the secrecy of The Triumvirate unless instructed otherwise by the other two members of the alliance. It's alot to take in, so any questions?"

Indeed, Kruppe seemed speechless for a few moments. His face showed a mixture of both shock and confusion. He only stared there, briefly, in silence. Then, he sighed and took a deep breath. He turned towards Jon and smiled weakly.

"You know," He began, slowly working his way around the small room--in fact, it was a study of sorts. It was dimly-lit due to the closure of the curtains and windows on the east-wall. There were shelves filled with books of various sizes, genres, and subjects upon them. Copies of famous works, political histories, and the like. In truth, Heinrich has, himself, gone through them at various points, finding those of some interest and pulling them for his personal use. However, none of them spoke of this Triumvirate that this Itailian was now bringing up.

Of course, it was entirely possible that, during the Schlesser Administration, or any other since, that such a meeting had taken place. It was, in fact, a possibility of which was racing through his mind at this very moment. Was this man telling the truth?--No, he ahd to be....Why else bring it up here? He sighed heavilly.

"You seem to know exactly what your talking about." He approaches the table, placing a finger thoughtfully upon the stack of documents and tapping softly. "It does sound incredible--but not entirely impossible--that such a thing could've happened under the previous regimes. Truth be told, I'm not as surprised as I thought I was, now that I think about it." He faces Jon, an expression of wierd, akward friendliness brooding upon his face.

"Of course, any treaties--secretive or otherwise--that were made prior to my taking office, shall be kept to the fullest-extent. So's long as I am kept in the loop about it's meetings and such. Also, if you wouldn't mind, I would like a copy of these documents.......For my own personal files, of course." He retorted. He picked-up the pen and twiddled it in his hands for a moment.

"Itailia has always been a faithfull ally of the Reich, Herr Jon, as I well know. Your countrymen have never abandoned us when we have called upon you." He looks back at a portrait hanging upon the wall--it's painted mask faded and covered with the dust of ages. The man's face, a familiar one to whomever studied Gibetan History, glared back at him--it's dark eyes telling fo a time blanketed in mystery and darkness. The young man who built Gibet up......then watched her fall, had died some time ago.

"It should be only fitting that we returnt he favor--if only ever secretively for now. However, should ever the need arise, for any help what-so-ever, you know that you can always find a noble friend and ally in us." With that, he reached for the papers to sign, looking them over briefly--scanning them for any sign of the original signers.

Pulling a small pocket computer out of her inside pocket. She asked
" Do you mind? Part of my coming here was to notate womens treatment."
Without waiting for a reply she typed in Walters comments.
Looking at roger she asks
" Your nation treats them how?"

At the Bar Melissa Tudor contemplated Gaus questions.
" Well if I recall non Elizabettan military Ranks as a Major that would make you a commisioned rank, which would mean that military wise you definetly outrank me as I would be none commissioned.
However once out of my uniform I would as a member of Royallty outrank you... so I had best get out of uniform..."
She laughed loudly at the look on his face.
" I thank-you for the dance, and though I do hope to get better acquainted later, for now I had best circulate or Mother will be displeased with me. As to why we are here, well one should always get to know your neighbours, and information on how they treat females in their cultures is always valued. As to how you should address me, you can call me Melissa, your colleague can call me your highness."
She leans forward, gives him a small kiss on the lips, and then saunters off into the crowd to socialise with others.

Roger blinked lightly as he realised he was being addressed, he turned back to the small group as he took a sip of water before smiling lightly.

“Things where not always as they are now in my Nation. Forty years ago women did not have half the rights that men did, seen and not heard, as it were. Then the region of Macross began to grow a little greedy, taking the resources from surrounding nations. It would only be a matter of time before Denengrad became a donator, as it were. We began massing our forces for the expected attack, and joined forces with three other nations. Denengrad was to be the Air Force of four nations, we needed every person we could get into a plane. Men and Women where conscripted into the Air Force. One woman in particular changed everything, Malorie Mitsumaru. When the war kicked off she was dubbed an Ace pilot, then our Ace of Aces. Finally she was known as the Queen of Aces, and became the first to start the tradition of the call sign Python One, the best. She currently still has a career within the Air Force, as Sky Marshal, the highest rank actually possible for anyone to attain within our nation. Since the war we have asked one thing of women in whatever they choose, be good at it. We have female captains within our Navy, female personal in our Ground Forces and SWAT teams. I wouldn’t trade a single one of them for ten men.”

He gave a small smile at this, Sylth might hold the cal sign of Python One at the moment, but he would bet big money that if he went head to head with Mitsumaru, even at her age she would thrash him completely out of the sky.

“So naturally, men and women are simply citizens, there is no sex better than the other”

Gau smiled lightly, nodding as he once more ordered his custom drink, Solid half vodka, quarter lime cordial and a quarter orange cordial with a dash of grenadine syrup thrown in, then the slice of lime and orange, and an umbrella. Once delivered to him he answered Melissa.

“Ah, yes, as Major I do think I outrank you, though I have my sights set on Wing Commander next.

Upon her next comment he simply went quite silent and red, unable to think of a reply to such a thing. However, it seemed that she was destined to wonder off at this point. Gau placed his officers cap once more atop his head and nodded lightly, giving a small smile and a salute.

“Well, thank you as well for the dance, Melissa. I don’t think you have to worry about Gilligan calling you anything other than Your Highness. I’ve known the man twenty years and he still calls me Major or Sylth ninety percent of the time.”

He then blushed lightly from the kiss, before giving an idle little wave as he moved off. Possibly time to find an balcony or patio and take a breather. He slipped though the crowd, snagging a small slim cigar from one of the tables as he past, and finally managed to locate an open set of doors that seems to head out into the gardens. Chilly as it was, it was still nice to get away from the noise and enjoy a quiet smoke.

Walter nodded as she left and Marcus came beside him. "What a nice lady she was..." Marcus said as Walter nodded and they both walked into the crowd hoping to find someone to talk too.

The vast Airship crossed the border, her escort of Air force ships breaking off, the behemoth vessel making progress across the land before coming to a landing on the appropriate airstrip its landing gears springing slightly as it does...a few moments later the ramp lowers and a black car or antique design drives down the ramp. a Bentley r type Continental. Its engine purring it makes its way across the field onto the road and begins to make for the Winter-retreat.
As the car pulls up a suited driver steps out and opens the door as an ageing man steps out, a pretty young girl stepping out after him. He looks cold and callous...like a man who had seen much destruction...and revelled in it. His name was Charles Tyvandias and he was the Prince and heir in waiting to the throne of the United Kingdom of Altaria. The pretty girl was his grand daughter...and some day she would be queen. They where both dressed immaculately he was in a white suit with gold trim...she was dressed in the dark blue uniform of an officer in the Air force. A sabre hanging at her side. She smiles and looks to the man “Shall we then” He nods. And they take a step towards the doors.
