For the past 3 years, the communist government of the United Communist States of Wing Wang Woo (consisting of Wing Wang Woo, Morvekia, Furzek, Serkat and Albanar) have been fighting various rebel groups throughout the states who since February 2008 have united under the name URAF (United Rebels Against Fascism). URAF have been fighting Communist authorities non-stop since May, and now control large sections of Southern Serkat and parts of Morveki's North-West and Eastern cities. The four lesser states are all highly volatile under rebel control and all striving for independence from the UCS. Now as the fighting continues, the death tally goes past 5,000 and URAF troops begin to move into Woonia, the largest country of the united Wing Wang Woo, the Communist governement calls out for help from the international comunity to defeat URAF. It is suspected that they have been secretly getting donations from the UCS's capitalist neighbours, and URAF too have called out to the international community for help to "destroy the evil, opressive beast and bring freedom to the people of Morvekia, Furzek, Serkat and Albanar."

Today Kemball Island Prime Minister Barney Kemball was forced to deny allegations by the UCS that he has been funding URAF rebels in the Civil War. Over £10,000,000 of Kemball Island's money has ben suspiciously donated to 'charity work' in Southern Serkat, a state overrun by URAF troops, and each time money is donated it has lead to URAF defeating UCS troops or capturing new land with improvement in their troops.
In Parliament today Kemball vigorously denied the charge, stating "if the UCS governement would check the records of my payments it is clear that all the money has gone to aid agencies trying to rebuild South Serkat after the warfare there. If they want a scapegoat, the UVS should look at other countries. We have been among the most open to international talks with Wing Wang Woo, we are not among the hostile countries who would try to destabilize the UCS. The only explanations are that somebody else is doing this to the UCS or that the URAF forces are siezing the money, in which case we would ask them to not steal from charitable organizations. The only thing Kemball Island is interested in doing in the UCS is helping develop war ravaged parts of the Union and to help the poor. We are not a country that is interested in military action."

"What is it?" Kageki asked.

"You have a message from the URAF" The operative said pausing afterwards to catch his breath.

"The who?"

"They are an organization that want to rise up against the United Communist States of Wing Wang Woo."

"What are they asking for?"

"They are wanting to know if they can build some forces here and buy Lizardiarian steel and equipment."

"Tell them yes to all things, Lizardiars been needing some new sources of finance." Kageki said

Zirca Corp Assists rebels

Zirca Corporation, one of the worlds largest Weapon producing companies, is supplying the rebellion group United Rebels Against Fascism, in their war against the Communist regime, The Robuston Newspaper can reveal.

Zirca, A Ketrily based corporation, has been supplying URAF troper's arms for years, for no charge, after interviewing John Holl, the CEO of Zirca, he had this to say,
"We deny nothing, Zirca corporation believes in free speech, free markets, and democracy, which the URAF stands for."

When questioned about this, Ketrilian High Council advisor Harry Unda said "The Government, as it is, supports all of it's companies efforts for their values, as such brings our ideals to a reality" When asked how he personally, Mr.Unda said "As an official, I'm afraid I can't comment on my personnal feelings"

Wing Wang Woo hits out at rivals
Supreme Leader of the United Communist States Nikolai Kyrienko used todays press conference, initially on government schemes to divert money to the farming indusry, hit hard by global recession, to attack the governments of Mo Land 3 and Ketrily for their support for URAF.

As he spoke, UCS troops were pushing forwards deep into Serkati territory to prevent large parts of the East falling to URAF, and their attempts including the destruction of two Zirca Corporation factories, built under the previous Supreme Leader in the late 80's yet still fully functional.

Kyrienko reserved a lot of scorn for Ketrily, saying "the government (of Ketrily) has disappointed me with heir conduct. May I remind them that the UCS established trade links with them in the 1986 Global Trade Agreement which still stand today, so we are established traders in the free global market, we just choose to conduct business through our Communist belief, which as my comrades here will surely agree has helped our great country survive a lot of the debris thrown at us from this global recession.

"Also, we have a great record on freedom of speech, it is the terrorist URAF group which wishes to destroy everything this government, with our established record of civil rights, and the creation of a new, revamped political system to help my comrades, has ever done. They are the villains here, not the UCS governemnt, and we must stop them, with or without the help of a blinkered global community."

When asked what he would do about Kerily and Mo Land 3, Kyrienko responded "Mo Land 3 are virtually our neighbours, if they want to spend money creating war on our land we can bring war upon them unless they stop aiding URAF's terror. As for Ketrily, it will be more difficult, but their precious trade links won't last very long with us either if they do not respond to our threats, and it would not be impossible to take military action against them if their government does not cease their blinkered invasion of our country"

Dear Mr.Kryienko,

This scorn, was rather unexpected, and your forgetfulness of our customs, is rather offensive. I would like to remindd you, that the government has a non-interventionist policy for it's businesses, they may do what they please, as long as it abides by the laws of our nation, Zirca corps actions are it's own, and your queef is with them, not us.

As for our trade routes, please note, that they are also down to corporations, all of the weapons you use against the URAF, are, ironically, Zirca corp's, and much commodities inforemation wise, are down to many corporations. I understand this recession has hit us both harshly, and this conflict is severely harming your people, having a world where your very existence is hated, and feared, also complicates things.

We are to very different people, you and I, yet it is within this, that we find our similarities, we both live in a world of middles, no extremes are usually looked upon kindly, yet we are here, and not ungrateful for it.

The only thing I personally I can do to you is, get you in contact with John Holl (The CEO), but also advise you to think, the rebels are outnumbered, their techno logy is obsolete, so try to contact, and reach a new agreement with them, if you wish, you may offer them to emigrate, to a country that they would enjoy...

PRIME MINISTER MAKES PLEA FOR PEACE-SUGGESTS CONFERENCE
Metros--Prime Minister Edward Caithana made an impassioned call for peace between the URAF rebels and the United Communist States today, calling the conflict, "unnecessary and destructive." Prime Minister Caithana has announced that he would be "more than willing" to sponsor a peace conference between the two sides, but "if absolutely necessary, I [Prime Minister Caithana] am prepared to call in the UFSC to spearhead a peacekeeping force."

Democratic Republic of Rhuar condemns 'Wing Wang Woo' and will immediatley begin airlifting medical aid supplies along with food relief to all those displaced by the war.
Missionaries have also been sent in to help rebuild those area's.

Rhuar would like to threaten that if any missionary has been killed or abducted, you WILL be held responsible and war will exist.

South East Europe supports the United Rebels Against Communism. The Parliament of SEE just established the South East European Underground Military Support Agency for URAF (SEEUMSAU, further abbreviated into SES) which is made up of 1,000,000 of South East Europe's soldiers. However, it is very curious that the Chancellor and the Grand Council are denying having any connection to SES. SES has 3 Nuclear Missiles, 700 Helicopters w/ machine guns, and 300 double-barrel Tanks. The reason for such limited resources is that SES takes whatever they get from ambushing UCS patrols. There have been accusations that SES do not get rations and resort to Cannibalism, however this has been denied by the Chancellor, Parliament, and Grand Council. Any children that SES gets their hands on are likely to be forced into military service or dead by the side of the street, other such atrocities against children are too gruesome to even mention.. SES has by far committed the most war crimes out of any nation in the history of the world in less than 30 days. They have violated the rights of over 200 thousand innocent women and children and only rougly 50 thousand UCS soldiers have been killed by them.

OOC: First things first, I'm assuming this is modern tech, circa 2009? And can we see a map of the region and areas of Wing Wang Woo involved? And for those joining in, can we see some skilled RP, or at least an attempt. Maybe some characters, etc, and reasonable military strengths that are reflective of your nation's population and economy.

IC: The Parliamentay Empire of Blackledge, having witnessed the situation and assessed the actions on both sides is prepared to issue an official notice of government policy.

No evidence has been provided of the United Communist States committing any criminal acts or war atrocities as of yet. The United Rebels Against Fascism, on the other hand, is a union of various rebel factions with their own agendas and grudes acting out against their sovereign government. Instead of addressing their grievances in the proper forum they have apparently initiated violent attempts at otherthrowing or dividing the legal government and nation they inhabit. Wing Wang Woo has been rated by the World Assembly as having civil rights and the right to take part in free and open elections.

The government of Blackledge is appalled at the inappropriate apparent reaction within the international community, with several nations alledgedly providing aid to the illegal insurgenct within the United Communist States. Blackledge is calling on those government providing aid to revise their foreign policy and evaluate the situation before acting so rashly and in a rogue manner.

Thus, the Parliamentary Empire is prepared to offer humanitarian aid to Wing Wang Woo immediately, and is considering all other options both strategic and in the interest of national defense and regional security. Continued or open foreign intervention, especially the beginning of foreign regular army, navy, or air force assistance or expeditionary projection will escalate the situation and Blackledge will react accordingly.

In one last desperate attack as the international community opens its arms to the URAF forces, yesterday UCS troops started to push towards South Serkat.

It is the first time in nearly two years that the highly pro-URAF Southern Serkat has been attacked by UCS forces, and signs from the first day show that there have been barely any improvements for either side. At approximately 21:00 hours yesterday the small Serkati town of Tusholai was liberated by UCS forces, but the most accurate approximations show that is the only progress made thus far, at the expense of nearly 250 UCS soldiers and unknown numbers of URAF troops. It is also expected that Michael Jones, a renegade SES soldier who set himself up as leader of Tusholai, has been captured by UCS forces and is currently a PoW.

No statistics have emerged yet to suggest how many troops have been lost by SES, but it is suspected that nearly 400 combined URAF & SES soldiers were killed in Tusholai.

Supreme Leader Kyrienko also wishes to make it known that the United Communist States are more than happy to welcome Edward Caithana into our country, and if the leaders of URAF will agree to speak we will gladly let him conduct peace talks. We condemn other nations who have threatened the democratic governement of Wing Wang Woo with violent support for the terrorists URAF, and suggest that unless they want our great Union to fall apart they withdraw support for these anarachic, terrorist, violent haters of democracy.

I'm afraid that after increased pressure from the High Council of Ketrily and the international community, mainly that of pro-capatalist nations, I have been forced to close all trade routes with the Wing Wang Woo, I hope this does not effect our friendship between nations, and products are still available for purchase, but not in regularity, and at a higher price.

"Prime Minister!!" shouted the Minister of War Dean Roberts "Look at this situation in Wing Wang Woo"

"Dean, you know I'm a staunch supporter of neutrality in all foreign conflicts." said PM Mikhail Petkov in a harsh tone. It was a long day for him. A long successful day, annexed Salzadonia, had a smooth practice in preparation for the Rugby League World Cup IV with the rest of the famed Lurikastani National Team, and waited in anticipation for word of the budget that he was trying to pass through the House of Commons. A budget that included little defense spending. He waited nervously, very nervously until one of his younger staff members Jean Deux-Alesse came busting through the door. "Prime Minister" said Jean in an out of breath gasp, he'd clearly been running a distance.

"What, did the budget pass?" said an obsessed Petkov. All Jean could do in response was nod and turn around to do his next task. In a wave of childish giddy excitement Petkov then paged Dean telling him that he will in fact send some troops over to Wing Wang Woo. However the would be on the side of the rebels.

Update:
Earlier today, UCS troops continued their slow advance through South Serkat. After their successful capture of Tusholai yesterday, UCS forces continued their advance into URAF territory. At almost exactly 09:00 hours, the town of Rijkaratan surrenedered to the governemnts army, after just 3 hours of fighting and minimal combat. The latest records show that just 49 UCS soldiers and 102 URAF soldiers were killed in the fighting.

Meeting only token resistance, mostly from SES forces easily swept away by the Woonian Army, at 11:00 hours UCS forces arrived at the city of Yurograd, the first city we, the Red Army of Wing Wang Woo, plan to liberate from URAF. Fighting started at Yurograd at 12:15, and is still continuing as we speak.

Thr latest information shows that two battalions of UCS soldiers have made it intov Yurograd, but that URAF are currently holding out.

Today I have realized the severity of this situation in Wing Wang Woo and while it is my policy to stay neutral in all of these types of conflict, at this time we simply can not do that anymore. Initially, we sent in only a couple thousand troops, however at this time we have realized that is simply not enough. As there are two evils rising. The SES which is being harbored by South East Europe, and The Communist Government of Wing Wang Woo. So our war has expanded to being a war on two fronts. One which will battle our pseudo-Ally against the Communist Wooian government and the other against the communists.

After a questioning session from the international community, the Chancellor, Grand Council, and Parliament deny any alleged connection to the SES which they claim means Socialist Evolutionary Soldiers. In this respect, the SES became far more violent and started burning entire villages to the ground with everyone asleep. SES is responsible for a great deal of suicide bombings and Princess Maria has condemned such actions by the SES. Her official statement is this, "I vehemantly oppose the actions of the SES and hope that they cease their attacks and surrender to the UCS. As such, I have sent 1700 of my best soldiers in defense of the UCS." Her Minister of Defense, Naira Caleb, has said this, "The Chancellor has said, "UCS is a free nation and has every right to defend itself," and I agree, so the Chancellor, me along with the other ministers, the Parliament, and the Grand Council have agreed with a 9-1 majority vote in the Ministry, 172-28 majority vote in the Parliament, and 381-19 vote in the Grand Council has voted to send 30,000,000 euros in military funding to the UCS." It is believed that Michael Jones of the SES has taken a cyanide capsule. Also a female captain of the SES whose name is Kiri Yost has turned herself in to the UCS and is telling them everything she knows without being prompted.

Prime Minister to Visit UCS
Prime Minister Edward Caithana left for the United Communist States today on his personal jet to begin laying the groundwork for a peace settlement. Caithana, while supporting peace, has announced that in the event of a failure to negotiate, Telvira is prepared to send supplies and trainers to the UCS to help them force peace.

I'm quite confused as to your stance at this point SEE. Before you were With URAF now your with the UCS... And by no means did declare war on you, just the organization of SES. Eitherway Tonight at 2000 Lurikastani Warriors will touch ground and start advancing toward Yurograd. Will land 10nm south. There our plan is to aid URAF on the ground using about 200 Troops, equally divided between ninjas and Samurai. With Three ThunderCougarFalconBirds Strategically bombing UCS Camps. With One Pigeon Soringover hed while precision bombing UCS Soldiers. From what I've Gathered from military leaders We should commence fighting around 2200.
