If we join Chronosia side (which seems likely), realistically speaking, in terms of logistics we will probably devote between 15%-20% of our total number of FTL warships to the war. However, depending on how things turn out, this percentage could increase. Note, we're basically glorified mercenaries, and we're in it for the "real estate" so to speak. Nothing else matters.

Also note that the above is strictly IC! Meaning of course, none of you know any of this with absolute certainty. This is especially true of those who never encountered the Sskiss. Furthermore, it is possible, that as the war progresses, we could be "bought off"... Either to change sides, or cease hostilities. Such will depend on a number of factors.

Well, that's the gist of it anyways.

Right; very sorry for the absence but I've had no internets while I moved house. Now living in the comforts of Glasgow with my lady love; so that's awesome. I shall try and have multiple posts up in the next week :)

Soo, this still on?

Will be busy this week, and the week after that, but will try to read up on what I missed.

The Consortium will most definitely aid TFU, though, as a twist in the plot, I will have a rogue legion defecting to Chaos. Been planning that for a while actually. I'm thinking with all the participants this might get rather big for one thread. Maybe we should split this into several?

This is a good idea, and yes its still on, chron is just settling in to his new routine IIRC. Allies will be called in in due time, not everyone is going to jump in at once , or at least shouldn't.

Hmm, maybe we should edit a list into the first post of the thread, so people can sign up for the threads they are interested to participate in?

Suggestion:

1. Defense of TFU territory (Knives in the Dark)

I really do not think its a good idea at this point to be making assumptions about when various forces are going to make their entry into the RP just yet. Take it up with Chronosia to be sure where you stand on all of this and when you'll most likely to enter the Rp. Also, with this many people involved, some major planning will need to be in the works.

Well I spoke to chron only recently and we laid out a semi/basic frame work for how this would be going down between us that is, once the time comes when other powers get involved then it will be up to them weather to make a separate thread or not. I doubt this thread is going to signify the end of the saga.

As long as its balanced out between both sides I don't see an issue personally.

Sskiss that reminds me , I'm assuming you want to have battles on the ground , I was wondering if you did how intense would they likely be? And are you intent on annexing or just hunting?

(reason I'm asking is because I would enjoy the prospect of platoon sized engagements)

It would depend on the overall "scale" of this Rp - which to myself, anyways, seems rather large to say the least. RP'ing every fleet and ground side battle will get rather tedious. At least some of these events should be mentioned "in passing" as, perhaps, a narrative.

Annexing is of course the long term desired goal simply because we are seeking to expand. You must understand that we are not "in this" for the same reasons Chronosia is. Hunting, as in plundering resources, technologies etc... is a more short term goal.

Such tend to be Rp'ed as character development plots and sub-plots. It's possible, but may be too small scaled for the scope of this rp, at least on a frequent basis. I see this rp as more of a "big picture" strategic sort of deal. but I suppose, a more focused smaller scale RP on specific characters is fine. Especially if it involved major leaders etc...

Hey I have a question Sskiss. Later down the line when everything else starts and you start coming in on me, would your people icly be interested in being bribed with star charts of some uninhabited garden worlds slightly more to the north of me?


If not or if you have another idea what would a diplomatic solution be, if there isn't. All the same to me I just want to clarify on things.
