The Return of Saddam

[Al Barakesh]

The Islamic Republic of Al Barakesh had been overthrown last night. The Son of the imfamous Saddam III, had come to power. Saddam IV as he was now known had executed the last president Haroun Adjudabi that morning. Troops marched up Emirate High way, where the Emirs had been overthrown 15 years previously. Now they served the Emirs again.

The Senate was disbanded the next day. Saddam IV made a speech to the crowd. "Today the occupation ends. Our land was destroyed all those years ago by the Kopanians, Comaackians, Birkainians and Tybrans. Now we put our feet down. Haraq the bane of our existance shall perish as our armies destroy that traitorous mob of Southerners. Long live the Emirate". "Long live the Emirate!!!!!!!" cried the people stamping their feet. From the lowliest Peasant to the Wealthiest noblemen, they cheered.

The Army made preparations in the next two weeks. Tanks were churned out of factories and supplies of Chemical weapons kept hidden for 15 years were taken for use by the army. Aircraft were also being built. They were preparing for invasion. Haraq would be subjugated this time.

Imperial of Foreign Affairs

The Holy Empire of Tybra is greatly concerned about this new development. Al Barakesh has once again become radical, and threaten with war. Once more they have proven to be viscous and dangerous.

The Kingdom of Melphina, an autonomous part of the Holy Empire and a former part of Al Barakesh has expressed its concern for the recent developments. Our forces stationed there, including the might Southern Wind Fleet have been mobilized and taken to the second highest alert level. If even a soldier of Al Barakesh enters Melphina we shall consider it an act of war and will retaliate accordingly.

We also state that we shall guarantee the independence of the sovereign state of Haraq. Any attack on Haraq shall be considered a declaration of war against the Holy Empire of Tybra. Any nation with hostile intent to annex or destroy Haraq shall be at war with the holy empire.

[Al Barakesh]

Melphina was also on Saddam's hitlist. So he decided to leave Haraq for a while and concentrate the bulk of his forces on the melphinan Traitors. His Army marched in double time across the Abzarid Desert in Al Barakesh. The R.A.B.A.F (Royal Al Barakesh Airforce) flew overhead armed to the teeth with cyanide, bombs, mustard gas, acids, alkalis and naptha to drop on the Melphinans. He knew that Melphina wasn't a pushover like Haraq and it would require substantial effort on his part to conquer it.

General Magai was made commander of the attack on Melphina. He planned to lure the Melphinans out and then crush them in a pincer movement with his Leopard Tanks, loaned to Al Barakesh by Saarland-Vormser. The Tybrans would be a tough enemy but their allies the Comaackians and Kopanians were gone. All that was needed was skillfull tactics and the proper application of Strength. But something else was needed.

OOC: a small notice, there's this a part of land owned by arivada called West Al barakesh, which is sort of right between us.

"Yellow Alert, Yellow Alert" A female robotic voice echoed through the concrete halls. It was the Tybran Fortress Nethershield, finished 5 years ago it was the key facility for the defence of Melphina. Though most of the military forces could work independent, as was their strategy, The Nethershield was the brain behind an elaborate nervous system of observation devices including infra-red thermal and night vision cameras surrounding the borderlines. Equipped with modern radar it watched the skies near the West Al Barakesh border 24/7.

It was the third biggest military facility of the Holy Empire. Equipped with 5 155mm cannons it was an impressive sight to see. Or war it? The colour of the Nethershield was carefully chosen, unlike most of the Tybran army the colours of the fortress were not chosen to be decorative but to be effective, within the heat of the dessert it would seem more of a large steep hill rather then a fortress.

The systems within the fortress were processing data at a constant rate, computing data, matching any heat signature, carefully listening to sounds. 255 men were working purely observing the situation. With Yellow Alert it seemed like a bees nest from the main command bridge men and women were running around computing data, assembling information. Reports were filed and unnecessary information destroyed.

"My lord, trouble arisen in Al Barakesh, orders are to mobilize troops to defence pattern Theta."An officer reported at the main command bridge.

"Understood, prepare Saturn And Mars Legion, have them take sectors Orange 17 till Blue 25, prepare all soldiers inform on a need-to-know basis" The general spurted out the commands.

The main land force, consisting out of challenger2 tanks were in back in their cold war holes. And they were really holes, dug out in the dessert to give support to the tanks, hidden under the sand.

Soldiers remained were they would be suited best, urban areas, along with attack helicopters and PATRIOT missiles sites.

Meanwhile the Southern Wind Fleet, one of the most powerful fleets of the holy empire of Tybra prepared it's JAS39 Gripen NG's, they would not launch but they were ready to go at any time.

Part of the fleet surveyed the small strait for any incoming enemy fleet.

The defences weren't perfect but they were not easy to spot, and in war deception was everything.

[Al Barakesh]

General Magai surveyed the situation grimly. He barked an order to the colonel of the 8th Artillery division. "Colonel bombard that so-called nethershield to see if it can be brought down by our Howitzers. otherwise I'm afraid it will have to be a full frontal assault". "Very good sir" replied the Colonel. He ran off to the Artillery staioned on Chabask Ridge just on the Melphinan border. Magai sighed. How many more must die for the Emir's.

It had taken about 2 days to work out where the nethershield was. Magai was a cautious general who was better skilled at modern warfare.

OOC: Comaack, Kopania and Civil Arabia didn't agree to let Arivada keep that land. He claims it but it doesn't belong to him.

We find this action evil and will actively join any coalition against Al Barakesh.

Magai also sent a commando unit under Commander Gamal Al Kamoun on of Dasit Al Kamoun the Republican War hero of the fight against Saddam to try and knock out the Nethershield. They noticed night vision cameras around the border. He whispered to Lieutenant Berengad, "Get the desert sand cover". A sheet covered with almost perfedt desert diguise, including real sand was put on by Al Kamoun and his men. They crawled forward. The Night Vision Camera turned towards them. They stopped. It turned away again. They crawled onwards in the same pattern until they were over the border. Idiots thought Al Kamoun. Making a camera that can only rotate 180 degrees. Suddenly a large number of Tybrans burst and and cried "Hands up !!!". "I think this is a trap" said a Young Private. "I know" said Al Kamoun. "Its all part of the plan" he whispered to himself.

Magai went of the to the Radio officers tent. "Still no contact from Desert Wolf platoon" he said tiredly. "No sir, but We'll keep trying over here" said the Radio Officer. "Desert Wolf this is Desert Fox, do you read me, Desert Wolf this is Desert Fox do you read me". Magai went out of the tent and sighed. "Keep that barrage up boys, your doing well". He knew perfectly well that they might be here for the next year trying to breach that fortress. Unless Al Kamoun could break into the probably Impregnable Nethershield and destroy its probably well guarded Defence systems. He hated being a general in a Al Barakeshi Army. They always expected results.

[Tybra]

OOC: Do not godmod my soldiers, they don’t take military prisoners unless under special request.

The first bombard came as a minor shock. The reports came in as red alert was announced.

“7th defensive layer breached at 2A 7B 12F, 6th defensive layer holding” A soldier reported while keeping an eye on a screen showing several estimated impact points.

“Red Alert region wide. Have Sapphire and Ruby airbases launch their crow and raven squadrons. Let them patrol the borderline for any incursion into our border, shoot any unidentified object.” General Barmak said, keeping his head cool, he knew that cold calculations would be far better then hot-headed commands.

“Try to estimate the point of origin of the artillery fire by the second, no third volley. Once located return fire, use Excalibur shells for accuracy.”

“My lord, Bamboo division seems to have captured hostile forces and request further orders regarding them.”

“Isn’t that obvious, we are the Tybran Military Forces, we are the purest of mankind, they are filth, scum which dares to go against our teachings, execute them, all of them”

[Al Barakesh]

The Private was forced down to the ground. He spat at the Tybran. He was gunned down. They did this to all of them except Al Kamoun and Bengerad. When they got to Al Kamoun he smiled. He then chucked a smoke bomb to the floor and it exploded all over the Tybrans. They milled about in confusion and Al Kamoun and Bengerad fled back across the border. However Bengerad was hit by the Machine gun fire of one of the Guards and he fell down dead. Al Kamoun jumped behind a sand dune. He yelled into the radio. "This is Desert Wolf to Desert Fox, message reads, where are you you bastard, I need back up immediately, tanks, aircraft now". He dodged a bullet from a Tybran.

Magai got the Message. He bellowed "Send in tanks and troops now!!!!!!". The 5th Tank division and the 17th Infantry Regiment were called to attack the Tybran pursuers. Als a squadron of Aircraft were sent in.

Al Kamoun dodged the Bullets as the Tybrans peppered the Dune with bullets from machine guns. The First Aircraft flew over him dropping bombs on the Tybrans. The Aircraft took casualties, many aircraft plummeted to the ground as the Tybrans shot them down from their anti-aircraft postions. The battle was now in full swing.

OOC: Don't think its a godmod as I lost nearly all my troops. Also even if I did say your soldiers attempted to shoot Al Kamoun, thats not really gomodding as in real life soldiers would do that. But if you decide it is godmodding I will change my post.

President Philips sat in his office pondering the new war in Al Barakesh. Personally he thought the Tybrans were as bad as the Al Barakeshi's with their blatant imperialism in keeping parts of Al Barakesh. This new Emir seemed to be a lot more reasonable than the previous ones. So he sent a message to Al Barakesh.

Due to the fact we believe the Tybrans to be an extremely Imperialistic Nation we are going to send the 1st, 2nd and 3rd armies to aid you in your struggle for Melphina. But on one condition. That you do not jeopardise the Stability of Haraq, where we have large commercial interests. What do you say.

"Satellite inbound in 3...2...1... we have visual of the situation" A voice said, watching certain numbers and graphs on one of many computers in the room. The large dimly lighted room was filled with computers placed in in an orderly fashion like a fan.

A room 3 underground levels lower, the Holy Empire's generals admirals and Imperator gathered observing the situation, both from reports as satellite imagery.

"It appears they aimed all their arrows towards the Kingdom of Melphina. Excellent really, let us show them true invasion forces." The masked man at the head of table said viewing a large screen.

"I have a festival to attend, so i won't go into the details, prepare the Western Wind Fleet, have them take Venus Legion and prepare to assault Al barakesh, let us show them how one ought to invade. I want Al barakesh to be an extend of our military arm, by the end of the month."

"Yes your majesty!"it sounded in unison echoing through the dark steel room.

Western Wind Naval Base

Within 24-hours after the orders were giving, the first tanks began rolling onto the amphibious assault vehicles. Soldiers were station on the multi-hull ships, in the large cargo areas. The Gripens on the Avalon Carriers were checked and double checked for any problems. Provisions and missiles were loaded onto the ships.

The logistical managers were busy, very busy, yet the modernized system made it easy to control everything. Large containers with provisions were transported where necessary via automatized vehicles specially build to transport these containers. Every block knew exactly what it had to do and where, commands were given and things went smoothly.

The Western Wind Fleet was quickly ready to launch. At full strength it launched, heading towards Al Barakesh. Sentences like 'Al Barakesh will burn by sunset' were said quite commonly aboard the ships. It was all propaganda, but it boosted the morale.

We strongly suggest you re-analyse the situation. The Nation of Al Barakesh has remained calm and peaceful for quite some time, only when a relative of Saddam rises to power they resort to violence and use that violence for their own greed. They are not afraid of using chemical and nuclear weapons and will do so when they deem necessary, they are a threat to society and the international community. Saddam must be eliminated for the greater good.

Would you continue to follow al barakesh along its path of destruction then we shall be a shield and defend the world from those who walk that dangerous path. We despise violence and only use it when we deem necessary. We hope we shall not have to resort to violence against your nation, would you however continue your support to Al Barakesh then we shall eliminate you as well, for the greater good.

Tybran Imperial Fleet the Western Wind Fleet

The western wind fleet was a fleet not as strong as the Southern Wind nor Northern Wind fleet but was quite capable. The Symmetry design made it able to easily split up the fleet and attack an enemy fleet from their flanks. Though it had 2 Avalon class carriers, only one was actually designated as the main commanding leader of the Tybran fleet.

All ships were connected via the AEGIS combat system to the Avalon class carrier ISV The White King. A name quite fitting, from there all ships could be ordered to the missile precise, creating an efficient army, and an efficient army was a powerful army according to the Tybran sayings.

Admiral Maju was sitting in his chair drinking his coffee while reviewing reports of provisions. He was shorter then the average Tybran man but his qualifications were much like any other High-ranking officer, cool, loyal and a good tactician. Together with the Western Wind Fleet he had seen some of the world, for it never had to fight to defend the holy empire of attacks. He was quite experienced in the expecting of the unexpected. One of his more negative character aspects was his addiction to coffee. The captain reported they were now preparing to enter Al Barakesh Waters.

"Understood, red alert, prepare queens gambit formation. Have all JAS39 Gripen NG Squads of the White Queen prepare for immediate lift-off, The White King's Squads are to remain aboard till further notice. "

OOC: I am terrible at naming ships and planes. So I made some up. Basically the fighters look like spitfires with modern Weaponary. I call these Hawk 12's. The Bombers are like Hurricane Bombers with modern weaponary. These are called Eagle 12's. My ships are based on the Destroyers of the Modern British navy. They are called Saddam III class Destroyers. My Aircraft carriers are called Saddam IV class Carriers. My Submarines are the U-Boats armed with modern weaponary. These are called EAB's.

The Eagle 12's prepared to drop their motherload upon the Tybran fleet encroaching upon the waters of Al Barakesh. The Tybran ships fired at them Dozens of planes were ripped from the sky and went crashing down into the sea. However the Eagles drop many bombs upon the fleet.

OOC: i wasn't really mentioning names but rather numbers that way it's easier to estimate the damage. When names just do what fits best with your nation, i try to keep it to Roman and Arthurian legends and chess pieces and openings.

Imperial Tybran Fleet Western Wind Fleet

"Enemy aircraft incoming, they're surprisingly slow." the AN-SPY officer reported.

"White Queen Squads launch and intercept, Aegis class cruisers prepare Evolved Sea Sparrow Missiles for anti-aircraft warfare." The admiral said calmly. He had suspicions, enemy aircraft flying so slow were often up to something. He wanted to use their speed to his advantage now, and prepare all defences.

"White Queen squads are to commence attacks first, any enemy aircraft which passes them is to be shot down by the ESSM's"

Within less then a minute the first JAS39 Gripen NG had taken off. There were 20 squads in total launched each one containing 5 Gripen NG's. All of them were equipped with IRIS-T missiles, the standard equipment of the Tybran Wings. They were to commence combat with the incoming hostile aircraft before these could even reach the Western Wind Fleet.

"This is White Knight 1, we have a target on the enemy aircraft...is this a joke?" The Leader of the first squad said.

"This is Black Knight 1, please identify the enemy aircraft." Another Squad leader requested.

"White Knight 1 here, these appear to be single engine fighter and bomber with rotor blades"

"Red Knight 1 here, are you sure?"

"This is white Knight 2 i confirm, they appear to look like spitfires and some sort of large aircraft."

"White knight 1 again, we'll take out the larger aircraft first, we'll attack them from above. Purple and Orange Knights take out out these spitfire things."

"Did they just say single rotary engines?" the admiral asked, seeking for confirmation.

"Yes my lord, the enemy aircraft seem to consist out of spitfires an a yet to be unidentified bomber vehicle of sorts."

"Hmmm, what are they up to" the admiral asked himself.
