Gavenson smiled weakly as he tried to stand. "Haha... Now I owe you two-!" He fell forward, his wounded leg giving out under him. Ilanii caught him as he fell into her arms. She pulled off his balaclava, revealing his dark eyes and blond hair. "Ah... S...sorry..." he muttered, coughing up blood. Ilanii put her finger over his lips. "Shhh... It's OK..." Ilanii said softly, laying him back down against the rock. She pulled out a field dressing, and applied it to his leg. "Can you stand, Matt?" she asked. "Mm... Maybe. But not yet, Ili," he said. "What do you mean?" she replied. Gavenson pulled her down, their lips meeting.

The rain continued to fall, its soft pattering on the leaves sounding out a beautiful harmony.

Ilanii's eyes glistened as she slowly pulled away from Gavenson's lips. She smiled at him, and leaned back in for another, feeling Matt's arms wrap around her as they kissed, this time longer, and more passionate. Gavenson felt Ilanii's hand run up his leg, and was about to tell her that he thought it wasn't a good idea, when he felt a sharp pain. He found that Ilanii was pressing on his wound, and was looking him in the eye, giggling. "WE need to get out of here." Gavenson, slightly dissapointed, agreed. "Y-yes, you're right I s-suppose..." Ilanii smiled, "You look a bit nervous. Never kissed a girl before?" she asked, winking at him. Gavenson's face went red...

"Understood, Syd." Shore replied in a fun tone, rather unfitting for the situation. "I can't see anyone. You can right? Tell me where, if you can." Max said again in a more sirious tone. He then crouched behind a rock, staring into the darkness. Shore couldn't see a thing, and he loved it. "Neither can they." He thought outloud. He looked to the ground, to see a lizard. Max loved lizards, more so than puppies and kittens. For that exact reason, 'Lizard' was his militairy code-name. "Cute little bugger. Oblivious of all else--" Shore began to speak, but was cut off by leaves ruffling up ahead of him. Raising his XM8 and putting the lizard gently down, Shore looked back and forth, waiting for them to pop their heads out, so Max could pop them off.

WARNING: May be a tad graphic.

Prizyetsi HQ Rennesøy Operations

Stefan sat the Chinese soldier down in a chair. His ankle had been looked at upon his request, not because it caused the soldier pain, but so that he wouldn't bleed out. The Chinese soldier was bounded to the chair with duct tape, so he couldn't move. An Administratii soldier stood behind the captive soldier, and made sure he didn't move the chair. Stefan stood with his back to the captive, and put on a leather glove. He turned to the Chinese man and spoke in a soft tone, "I'm going to ask you a few questions, and you will answer me, understand?" The Chinese soldier stared at him, not saying a word. Stefan sighed and threw a punch at the soldier's gut. The Chinese soldier caughed and groaned in pain. "I know you speak English, and I'm pretty sure my English is just fine. Now whats you're name?" The Chinese man spit at Stefan. "Feisty, isn't he?" Stefan walked over to the Chinese soldier and gently tapped the man's ankle, which he had dug his knife into only hours before. The Chinese man let out a scream of pain, and Stefan simply watched, lighting a sigarette. "So, whats your name then?" The Chinese soldier had tears running down his face, which mixed with the blood coming from a tooth which Stefan had hit loose. "My name, Jin. Speciar Forces, China." Stefan smiled. "Good, thats a start, Mr. Jin. Now can you tell me why you were on our beautiful island? You're government knows we were having a party here, you were even invited, but you turned the invitation down... It's rude to come without telling us you know..." Again, the Chinaman said nothing. "This again?" Stefan sighed, as he kicked the man's ankle again. The Chinese man let out an agonizing scream, and again, Stefan stood, watching ,smoking his sigarette. "Why were you here?" he asked again, "What was your mission?" The Chinese soldier didn't say a word. Stefan took a drag from his sigarette and shoved the lit head in the man's face. "All you have ot do it tell me why." Stefan said, taking another drag. "I have no problem with killing you, but trust me, it will be long and painful." he said, smiling. "WE were here to gather information on Norranda Pact Strategy." The soldier finally admitted, watching Stefan's sigarette. "Good answer. Were you deployed from the Chinese Cruiser just off the coast?" The Chinese man remained silent, so Stefan grabbed his leg and twisted the man's foot around, causing him extrutiating pain. "YEEEEEES, WE WERE!" he screamed. Stefan wanted more information. "How many of you are there?" he asked, ready to twist it again, but in the other direction. The Chinese soldier answered right away, knowing that Stefan would simply twist his ankle untill he told him the answer. "Three squads of six." he blurted out. "Thank you sir. I have what I need." Stefan said, turning towards the door. "Patch up the piece of shit's ankle and lock him up." Stefan said, leaving the room, wiping his hands on a small piece of cloth torn off of the Chinese uniform. "Oh, and give him something to eat. Seems like the Chinese don't even feed their people." he said, not even stopping on his way out. The Chinese man sobbed as he was dragged to a cell.

Captain Daland watched the countdown from the captains chair. "Times up, give the order to fire to the fly-boys." he said, fiddling with his pipe. "Tell the Hai to launch her torpedoes as well." he ordered...

RENNESOY TRAINING GROUNDS
RENNESOY ISLAND, PRIZYETSA
03:06 HOURS

Dunn scanned the horizon. She switched her eyepiece to heat detection, and swept through the trees. She saw the remaining four soldiers closing in around Shore. Dunn got on her radio. "Max, drop your weapon, and walk into that clearing with your hands up."
"What?!?" he called back. "Are you crazy, Syd?!?"
"Max, I want you to trust me, alright? Can you do that?"
"Y...yeah. Alright. You better be right about this..." he muttered.

Shore dropped his XM8, raised his hands, and walked into the clearing. Within seconds, the four soldiers came out of the trees and were all over him. "You stand down, gwailo! Get on ground!" one of them yelled. Max heard Dunn's voice on his radio.

"Time to dance."

As one of the Chinese soldiers approached him, a shot impacted in his chest, his ribs exploding outward. He stumbled before falling, stone dead. The other three soldiers turned to the source of the shot, before two more whipped into two of the remaining soldiers. "Last one is yours, Max," Dynn said into her radio. "Let's see how well you dance, DSBoy!"

SKIES OVER THE NAVAL STAND-OFF ZONE
RENNESOY ISLAND, PRIZYETSA
03:07 HOURS

Sabre Flight was making a pass over the PPNS Lillanda when their radios crackled to life. "Attention Sabre Flight: this is Captain Daland. You are cleared to engage. Do whatever you can to slow them down, alright? We'll finish them off." Ajax got on his radio. "Roger, Lillanda, we'll cripple her."

He switched channels. "Alright, folks, it's time to dance with that Chinese ship!"
"Let's do this! Time to hunt!" Rapax called out.

The four KF-11s swooped in low, approaching the Chinese ship. "Stand by, Sabres. Fire the Inja missiles alongside a rocket barrage. They won't be able to pick out the missiles in all that smoke. Plus, a high volume of rocket strikes will disorient them." Ajax armed his craft's single Inja missile, as well as the two rocket pods. "Who wants to play bait this time?" he asked.
"Hey man, it was my turn last time," Cicero mentioned into his radio.
"Well, that just leaves Rapax and I. And I'm pretty sure he'll pop a blood vessel if he doesn't kill something soon," Bonia interjected, laughing.
"Hey! I ju-" Rapax was interrupted by Bonia. "I'll take it this time. Don't worry. Permission to engage as countermeasure, sir?"
"Roger, Bonia. Be careful out there," Ajax responded.

Bonia's KF-11 streaked ahead of the formation. Instantly, the weapons of the Everlasting Fire were locked on to her. "That's right, you Wolf lovers, gimme everything you got!" Bonia whispered to herself. The anti-air missile systems on the Chinese ship fired at her KF-11. "Alright, Sabres, they've fired! You're clear for your attack run!" Bonia said into her radio as she entered a steep climb.

Ajax, Cicero, and Rapax dove, skimming the water. "Fire!" Ajax called out. Three Inja missiles and a multitude of rockets streaked towards the Chinese ship. The Everlasting Fire began firing autocannons into the swarm of missiles, shooting down some of the rockets, but missing the actual missiles. "Perfect," Ajax muttered as he and the rest of his squadron entered a steep climb.

The payload impacted with the Everlasting Fire. The missiles ripped the stern of the ship apart, sending explosions rocking through the engine rooms. Rockets impacted all across the rest of the cruiser, disorienting the Chinese sailors for a few critical seconds as the KF-11s passed overhead. "Bonia, you OK up there?" Rapax called out.
"Roger, Sabres! I'm clear! Those Chinese missiles can't compete with Kauvaran aeronautics!" Bonia called back.
"Good work, Bonia. Alright, Sabres, regroup over the Lillanda," Ajax said into his radio.

He switched channels. "Captain Daland, this is Ajax of Sabre Flight. Fire mission was successful. That cruiser isn't going anywhere. You are clear for your attack. We will stay on patrol and remain on station for the next 30 minutes, at which point we'll be bugging out to meet with a tanker for refueling a few hundred klicks south of here."

"Thank you, we'll take it from here." Daland replied to the pilots overhead. "Prepare to fire our missiles and relay the order to our sub." The comms officer typed away the orders, and the Lillanda started to rumble. "Fire!" Daland yelled, followed by 4 streaks of smoke on both sides of the bridge followed by the loud booms of the missiles breaking the sound barrier. The missiles flew towards the ship, impacting just above the waterline, lurching the ship to starboard and creating holes in the hull. The missiles were followed by HE topedoes fired from the Hai class sub which had creeped its way to roughly a km away. 4 trails of white foam followed the torpedoes as they split up to hit their individual tergets. They all impacted simoultaniously, lurching the ship further to starboard before ripping her into 4 sections and sending her to the bottom.

"Begin the search for survivers, but don't expect too much." Daland said walking of the bridge. "Aye sir!" he heard before turning to the staircase which would lead hom to his quarters.

"Are they fueled up?" a lieutenant asked walking into the flight hanger looking over her Ka-32TN helicopter. A younger seargent nodded, wrestling away the heavy fuel hose used to refuel aircraft onboard the ship. Alana clumb into her chopper, together with her co-pilot, and strapped herself in. Her helmet hung from a hoow behind her head, and she grabbed it, cleared it of the straps and put it on, checking the coms and holographic HUD. Everything was in order. 2 Naval infantrymen clumb in the back with PSMGs and sat in the front of the helicopters cargo hold. Flight engineers pushed the helicopter out of the hangar as Alana fired up the engine, which started with a sputter. She extented the blades, and switched power from the jet turbines over to the blades, and thwey started rotating. The engineers cleared the flight pad and started to prepare the second helo for launch. Alana asked for permission to take off, and her request was granted by one of her friends on the heli-command-deck by a wave and a blown kiss. "I love you too Anteli" she said over the comms, smiling. 'crazy bastard' she thought to herself. The helo lifted itself offthe deck, and she turned it 90 degrees to port, twards the burning wreck of the Chinese ship. "Take us in low" one of the naval infantrymen asked, so she took the helicopter down to 20 meters. "Low enough?" she asked smiling. The chopper flew over the fires created by the floating oil released by the ship, and some survivers could be seen. "Thisis lieutenant Alana Hanson, calling the PPNS Tjerland and PPNS Frafjord, we have survivors here, requesting you come and pick them up." The two Maaki class patrolls sped across the water from the East to assist. "Thanks alot guys." she said over the open chanel. Alana reached over to the window and closed it due to the strong smell of burning ship fuel which she knew wasn't good for her health. "I'm taking up down, see what you can do for these men." she told the naval infantrymen in the cargo hold. They both replied with green lights on her status update projected on her HUD. She gently took the helicpter down and brought it to rest on the surface of the water. Next, she gave the load-master permission to open the side hatch, and the naval infantry men stoop ready to fire on any hostiles that tired to harm the helo. One by one, burnt and injured seamen were puled into the helicopter untill the carrying capacity was reached. By now, the two Maaki patroll vessels had reached the scene and were pulling men out of the water as well. Before Alana took off, she ordered floatation devices to be thrown out to the stuggling chinese, as well as the helicopter's life raft. "This is going to be a long, long night...." Alana told herself as she pulled the helo up out of the water.

At first, shore was confused, but now it was a stroke of genius. "Dance? Oh just you watch." Max laughed as he ripped the gun out of the soldier's hands. Throwing the gun a few feet away, Shore kicked the solider in the knee, knocking him over. He now curb-stomped the man in the nads' before kneeling down and punching the cringing body. Hit after hit to the face, he made sure the man's jaw would never move again. Max picked the chinese soldier, leaned him against the tree, and began kicking him in the face. After about thirty seconds of this, Max was sure that this chinaman was dead. Grabbing the dog-tag, he turned to where Dunn was, and gave thumbs up. "How was that?" He asked into his radio, turning back to the body.

RENNESOY TRAINING GROUNDS
RENNESOY ISLAND, PRIZYETSA
03:10 HOURS

Dunn smiled. This Shore had some... fire in him. "Excellent work, Max. I'll call it in: Rennesoy is secure." She opened her WMC, tapping a few buttons, confirming that Rennesoy was clear. "I'm making my way back to the Command Center. See you in Veshivoslav, Max," she said, he voice alluring.
"Wait, I haven't even seen your face yet!" Shore responded.
Dunn laughed. "Don't worry; I'll be watching your back, DSBoy," she replied, cutting the line, and making her way back to the Kauvaran assembly point.

"This is Ajax to Daland. We gotta bug out. We're low on fuel. We'll refuel with the tanker, then land back in Vosonje. Good luck finding survivors, Captain," Ajax said into his radio. The four KF-11s of Sabre Flight banked, turning south towards the rendezvous point with the Prizyetsi tanker.

KAUVARAN EXTRACTION POINT
RENNESOY ISLAND, PRIZYETSA
05:41 HOURS

The sun was just beginning to rise as Dunn made her way to the extraction zone. Three black UH-60s and one one CH-47 sat idling in a clearing. Kauvaran operators were getting into UH-60s, while others were loading equipment into the CH-47. She approaching one of the lower ranking soldiers. "Trooper. Where's Gavenson?" she asked. "The commander sent a Code White (OOC: Code White means that an Operative has been injured, and will be blending in to the local population and laying low for awhile until he/she can recover). He isn't coming, ma'am," replied the soldier. "Code White...? But he's in Prizyetsa. Why would he want to go undercover here...?" Dunn thought to herself. She shrugged, and boarded one of the helicopters.

"Mount up!" she called out. The soldiers got into the helicopters, and they lifted off, disappearing into the rising sun.

RENNESOY TUNNEL EXIT
RENNESOY ISLAND, PRIZYETSA
05:42 HOURS

Ilanii sat behind the wheel of a Prizyetsi vehicle as the Kauvaran formation thundered overhead. "Matt, are you sure it's OK if you go underground like this?" Ilanii asked Gavenson as he sat in the passenger seat. "It's fine, Ili. I called in a Code White. I've got 24 hours before I officially have to resurface. And there's nowhere I'd rather spend them than with you," he answered, smiling. Ilanii grinned, and drove into the tunnel. "Don't worry," she said. "I know a place where we can at least have a meal together without being questioned."

The truck drove through the tunnel, off towards wherever fate took them.

Shore let out a sigh, then walked back onto the road. He bagan pondering on what goodies he would get for the seven dog-tags he had collected. They were like a currency that could be traded for atatchments for your gun, respect, and other freebies. Walking along, he spotted the same lizard as before following him. Opening his day pack, Max tossed a peice of steak into the grass on the side of the road. It immidiatly bolted towards the meat, devouring it in one gulp. Shore paused for a moment, looking at the moon, and laughed.

"To Veshivoslav... the city of war..."

As he walked down the road, a BMP rolled up beside him, and Captain Rechunski popped his head out. "Soldier! Where have you been? The chinese are attacking!" Rechunski barked, obviously unhappy.

Shore saluted and smirked "What have I been doing? Oh, I don't know maybe collecting these?" Max sarcastically bellowed, holding up his looted dog-tags.

"By the north star-- you've killed SEVEN? On your own?" Rechunski spoke, startled.

"Yes sir. Well, parially. I had a--" Shore replied. blushing as he climbed in. "A Kauvarian help me." They rode back to the CDSPian part of the island where several Hind 5-O helicopters waited. Once Max and Rechunski got in, they took off.
