OOC: Well, my men are going to try to make sure you don't assist while staying there. I mean, if they shot you, then you'd blow it up. What'd be the fun in that?
And they may eventually make up the story that they found a Pirate ship in the vicinity that tried to ambush them or somethin. :p

Private Shore climbed up into the BMD. He was the second DSPSO operative for this exercise, and was proud of it. Four 'grunts' followed him in. "So youre the guys I'll be shooting with." Shore chuckled as they sat down.

One of them began to talk "Yes, sir--"

"Don't call me sir. I'm a private too, just in an elite task force. We're all equals here, Call me Shore." He interupted.

"Ok, Shore, I'm Jacobs" The tough-looking one began "this is Har'u Maak, Ericson, and Goodwill."

"Alright boys, good to meet you." Shore finished.

The back began to close, hiding the image of the two helicopters taking off. Shore rubbed his hands together as the BMD's engine turned on. He couldn't wait, this was going to be fun.

"So, what wars have you guys been in?" Shore asked while cradling his XM8. He noticed that they were using simple and less accurate weapons, like UMPs and RPDs.

"We were at the seige of Greater Kantha. On the northern side of the city." Bradley answered.

Just then, the tank lurched forward. The three tanks lined up, and shot off towards their objective. Not too far behind, the Kauvarian snipers trailed, ready for anything. Ahead and above, the two Hueys buzzed forward. They were to scout the area ahead, drop off squad one, then open fire. (insert epic music here(ex:pokemon theme))

PMHC Vosonje, Naval Headquarters.

The satelite image of a cruiser was shown on the main screen. Analysts were darting around the dimly lite controll room of the naval headquarters in Vosonje. The commanding officer, a vice admiral watched the real-time feed with great interest. The same interest he'd been showing for a few hours, since a call came in from the Rennesøy proving grounds.

"Status on the cruiser?" he called out.
A young operator's hand shot up, showing that he had information to share. "She's the Everlasting, an Isolated China Navy light cruiser. We don't have much on her, but we now have complete schematics of the upper decks, and we are analyzing them now. She seems to have been on station for a few hours now, and she is broadcasting reports of engine trouble via satelite uplink, sir."
The vice admiral nodded. "I see. Can we get a Hai out there to stalk her from within our waters? I want an Onoy to watch her as well, is she does anything, hail her and tell her we're watching her. I want at least 2 Maakis out there too, in case she is up to something."
The young soldier replied, "Aye sir" and sat down, typing away furiously at the keyboard. The order had been sent.

PPN station Grålan, 30km south of Rennesøy proving grounds, Post headquarters
The comander reviewed his orders, and hailed the PPNS Sura, a Hai class attack sub, to which he relayed the orders. She silently submerged while stil in the harbor, and dissapeared. The next ship to set sail was the PPNS Lilanda, an Onoy class frigate. Finally, the two Maakis left port, speeding towards their area...

OOC if it doesnt apply, ignore it. I cut it short too :(

Everlasting Fire, Out at Sea
"ADMIRAL!" A Chinese soldier yelled. "We have something on Radar! It appears to be a Prizyetsa ship! What are our orders!" The Admiral looked at the radar screen. It showed a small dot, with the label 'Prizyetsa'. "Damnit, the closest Chinese fleet isn't for miles!" He slammed his fist down on the table. "I want a message sent to them that we have engine problems. Make it seem real. We can't allow our teams to be comprimised." The soldier saluted the Admiral, then ran to the transmission deck. He then quickly typed and sent the letter.

Code: Select all
To: Unidentified Ship
From: The Everlasting Fire

Our engine is under major malfunction. We were seperated from our fleet, who thought it would take a while to fix it. We are still under progress trying to repair it. We ask that you leave us be until it is fixed. IF it does explode, then your ship could possibly be engulfed in the flame. Thank you.

CURRENT HAPPENINGS IN JUST SHIELD:

1. CDSPian troops have begun their advance
2. IKSF snipers are in position
3. IKSF Squad 1 is securing CDSPian flanks and rear
4. Administratii team is moving to tail CDSPian forces
5. Gavenson is operating solo to interrupt Ilanii's operation (he knows her too well ;P)
6. Chinese special forces are moving towards the island by boat
7. Chinese special forces are being intercepted by Prizyetsi naval forces
8. Chinese special forces attempt to bypass security and make landfall on island by stating there are engine problems, hoping Prizyetsa will leave so they can land their special forces
9. IKAC 8492nd Squadron KF-11 has been prepped for take-off at Vosonje (based there due to Treaty of Emira) and is prepared to engage Chinese cruiser if necessary, as well as do aerial observations of their problems (no way anybody but Kauvara and Prizyetsa know of this, however)

This is Cpt. Daland, of the PPNS Lilanda, calling the Everlasting Fire. We will excersise our right to manuevre within our territorial waters as we see fit. We are prepared to fight any fires or repair any damage we may sustain. We have engineers onboard if you require assistance. Regardless of whether or not you need it, we will remain on station untill you can leave. PPNS Lilanda out.

Captain Daland sat back in his chair and looked out over the water towards the cruiser. In its own right, it was an impressive ship, but even the largest of ships could be sunk by a few missiles...

Kauv, my troops already landed. Priz is intercepting my ship. :P

OOC: Thats the point. YOU AREN'T SUPPOSED TO BELIEVE! I hope.

IC:
Everlasting Fire
Code: Select all
We acknowledge this, Captain Daland, but if you have ever seen a Chinese ship explode, the guns fire everywhere. At least for small ships such as the one I, Admiral Whei, command. It is bad for our navy but makes the ships just a little cheaper. We do not wish for the ship to fire, should it explode, and possibly damage you. Again, we ask that you give us space to repair our engines, as we can fix them ourselves. We will not cause trouble. You have my word.

Admiral Whei sat back in his chair. He only hoped that the Prizyetsians bought it and left. The cruiser could easily take out the PPNS Lilanda, but the respected Kauvaran Airforce and probaby a much larger Priz naval force nearby would effectively end any chances at extraction for the teams.

Again, we will not move. It is our right to be here, and we will excercise that right. Unless you have anything to hide, you will drop the subject. Lilanda out.

Daland was sure something was wrong, but he couldn't put his finger on it. He took out his pipe. The pipe had been handed down generation after generation, and when his son graduated from the academy and got his own ship to command, he would hand it down as well. Daland's physical features reminded many of his men of a character they once saw in a movie, the infamous captain Ramius. Daland was ver ymuch like Ramius, intelegent, witty and most of all, lucky...

OOC I'd advise looking up the Onoy class of frigate. She packs quite the punch... ;)

SAFEHOUSE "MOTHERFOX"
RENNESOY ISLAND, PRIZYETSA
12:54 HOURS

TSgt. Tulius was monitoring his UAV station, relaying visible Prizyetsi positions to the CDSPian and Kauvaran soldiers. Everything seemed normal. Suddenly, however, the UAV meant to be watching for Prizyetsi reinforcements picked up something... odd. There was a group of unknown targets moving up one of the open beaches towards the action. He did not zoom in, as he did not want to risk having the UAV detected. He got on his radio, and turned it to the frequency established to directly contact the above airship in case of emergencies. "Prizyetsi Command, this is Motherfox. I'm detecting some strange anomalies moving along one of the beaches on the same side as that Chinese cruiser. I'm sure you already know this due to your advanced monitoring systems established in order to monitor the exercises, however. This is more just to confirm that we see it, as well. All civilians have been evacuated, correct? What do you advise? I will also relay this message to the CDSPian and Kauvaran troops. I cannot contact the Prizyetsi soldiers or else it will break the rules of this engagement for JUST SHIELD. I am currently sending you a live feed of their movements. What do you recommend, Command?"

UNKNOWN LOCATIONS
RENNESOY ISLAND, PRIZYETSA
12:55 HOURS

Kauvaran teams listened as their earpieces relayed the critical information, and the feed from the UAV was streamed to the top corner of their eyepieces (OOC: Thanks for the upgrade to these things, Prizyetsa! Without your help, livestream from UAVs would be impossible!). If this anomaly was a threat, they would be ready for it.

The helicopters saw it too. "That's not part of the exersise... gunner! Fire some EMP rounds down there. It'll disable any lock-on systems they have." The pilot of the first helicopter ordered. Not a moment later, several EMP rounds flew from the Huey's minigun to the Chinese men. The CDSP men were not aware of their true nature, and thought they were part of the exersize. A few stun grenades flew out the side aswell.

The three tanks were on a steady course towards objective A. When they did, a 125mm shot was fired at a group of soliders. Shore felt a rush of adreneline as the back of the BMD opened up. The men took cover behind the tanks, and shot off into the enemy. Scanning the area around the objective, he spotted several dug-in snipers. Pulling out his radio, he began to talk to the Kauvarians "Open fire. Snipers, high priority, I say again, snipers are high priority, over!" Shore barked into the radio. After pegging a Prizyatsian on an MG, the T9-0R struck a door open, creating a path. "Tanks! Forward!"

The Shahbazi captain was studying certain positions on the ground when the message from the Kauvaran UAV operator came in. His head snapped up and he looked to the officer next to him who looked back. They exchanged a look and the Shahbazi captain stepped backed to ensure he was not in the way of the airship crew if anything needed to happen. He noted to follow up on this with the observation coordination officer.

Te mines planted on the sides of the road exploded. Each weiging 14kg, the mines could rip a heavy tank apart each. The explosion rcked the road, sending shrapnell everywhere. The second team, which had hid in the treeline opened fire on the shocked and stunned troops, making sure to shoot quickly, yet accuratly. All was going according to plan.

"Who are they and what the hell are they doing on my proving grounds?!" the general in charge fo the excersise called out. "We're not sure sir, hey just appeared, and they seem to be heading towards the firefight going on at the intersection E39-Fv574." The general paused. "I see, alaert team 5. If they see them, capture at least one of these intruders alive. I don't care about the rest..."

(And we use infared and lazer mine spotting. On the IR, mines show up as a bright blue against a malevolent red. Our lazers don't reflect off of the ashfault (Spelt that wrong) or gravel, but they do off of metal.
