A 270 million people nation can easily send 23,000 T-70 tanks. Present day Russia has about 23,000 main battle tanks which are of a much more recent model (I would hope for them). Of course actually sending even a single T-70 is tactically unwise as a light tank from WWII is unlikely to be able to fight modern tanks.

Russia was a superpower though. But yes even with the tanks i agree that it would be unable to fight modern tanks. Especially considering our tanks can shoot while moving.

Yeah, but deploying them all at once with only 40,000 personnel - most of which i am assuming are combat personnel - with no-one to maintain them or fuel them is daft. As is deploying all of those tanks. I also don't see how it is logistically possible to deploy that many all at once, considering we are fighting on islands.

Yes, what Imperia said too. To deploy that many you would have to run them on little fuel and they would have to be very poor quality tanks.

Russia's superpower status (which is after all 20 years in the past) is irrelevant. My nation is a middle power or a regional power at best in NS yet I could crush every single RL nation, superpower or not, and at once.

I never said it was sensible. I just said it could be done. But if the tanks is to be releashed on one of the larger targets (the chinese mainland could very well be invaded by my forces once Taiwan is taken) then I suppose the 40,000 would take turns with their tanks only using half of them at a time. A bit weird perhaps but when you bring WWII tanks to the front you might as well go all the way with the crazy.

With orders from the Emperor, the Imperial Japanese Navy as well as the air force, were on orders, to do things, for strategic purposes. The onslaugh began. Every merchant ship, civilian boat, was threatened or inspected by Japanese forces; or simply, the would sink th merchant/supply convoys, as well as kill these nation's desperately needed civilians, while at sea. In the air, Japanese aircraft, also pursued civilian as well as commercial airplanes, shooting them down at first opportunity. With supplies by sea or air, getting destroyed, the enemy could never support their wars against Japan. It was only a matter of time, before guerrilla tactics, as well as different sorts of unconventional tactics...

Well, I suppose thats your way of saying that you've rejected all foreign aid, especially as considering the theatre of war (the Pacific), the majority of the trade and supplies in the area wouldn't actually belong to those you're fighting. Instead you'll be sinking ships that would've traded with you or other asian countries within the area. Doesn't this also tie up a pretty damn large percentage of your navy considering the size of the Pacific?

You've pretty much cut yourself off from foreign materiel support there, as given where the conflict is taking place - specifically near your Pacific holdings - and not other regional areas, you'll be sinking the vessels that would've carried your supplies or traded with you. Were you to engage those of other countries elsewhere, you would have to A: Dispatch a significant percentage of your navy due to the sheer amount to sea to cover, and B: Contend with the naval assets of other regions when you started poking your navy into their waters to try and raid their shipping.

Your men will only last for so long, before they go hungry. We will attack shipping in all directions, that we identify as enemy shipping.

Considering how stretched your navy is already, there is no way you can eliminate enemy merchant shipping from the entire Pacific Ocean - let alone do it easily. Also, military personnel get their food from military ships, not merchant ships.

You really need to sort out your strategy because it's one that will never succeed.
