Taiwanese sea:

The fleet was only miles away from the engagement area and without order Admiral Kuroda sought to immediately attack the opposing forces. As the fleet came closer to the battle the 600mm cannons opened fire on surprisingly the Japanese Dystopian ships while the aircraft carrier only kept planes a distance away from the battle. This was to keep allied airspace as clear as possible and avoid enemy SAM site attacks. This move had confused many men aboard the Vessels but they followed orders like they should and the engagement commenced.

Midway:

The ships here kept their distance as well and only provided air support for planes that were dropping food for the Japanese Coalition on the island. The Musashi with its 800 mm cannons opened fire on the Quendi Coalition vessel attempting to at least disable a few. The frigates stationed around the Musashi provided medium to short range support and anti air capabilities. Admiral Fukuyama had much interest in personal glory and kept the Planes as far away from the enemy vessels as possible but when the time came he would make a shocking move.

Midway....still:

The fleet was at a bloody confrontation against Imperia and Cobra. Admiral Mason was killed when his ship was sunked, but that didnt affect the fleet. They all knew that the other ships commander was in command, and they were to follow him till death. The now Admiral Carter had decided to order the marines in the ships to fire their Javeline missiles at the enemy ships. Planes kept on shooting down Cobra pilots, and the new SLADAR Missiles were resulting effective against the Cobra Zeppelins. The men were fighting as hard as they could against the well-fighting enemy, and Marines and Navymen were winning the day. If they kept it up, Midway would be a victory.

International Waters..
H.M.S. Monarch

"At hoy!" someone barked as they walked down the sidelines of the massive Battleship. The fleet had stopped just a few hundred miles from Belfras to allow the Monarch and the Rapier to catch up and allow two SSGNs to pass by and head off toward Midway. It had been a bizzare day - One of the Catapults on the Aleksandr Achilles failed, resulting in one injured pilot and a junked warplane. The 'Delvious One-Two' had to return to port after a propeller physically fell off.

"We're heading to Midway?" One of the sailors asked the Admiral now in command, who shook his head.

"No, Lieutenant. Theirs over 300,000 troops from all sides trying to take that mile-long spit of land - Going near it is suicide. We have a.." he rubbed his hands together, pausing in an attempt to warm himself from the cold breeze. "We have a slightly different mission. Inform all ships to cease electronical activities - We're heading elsewhere. Order all ships to go to silent running." he patted the Lieutenant on the arm before walking off.

Shortly afterward, as instructed, all the ships stopped their electronical activities and altered their lighting positions - Making them appear to be more of a flotilla of freighters then anything suspicious.

"Take Evasive Manoeuvres Comrades !"Captain Che shouted to his men aboard the zepplin as its AAs went full force against the Libre missiles and Javlins they were Madmen thinking the they could still win Che stood atop and pressed a Red button causing the zepplin to launch a cobra missile that with enough force would blow all the Enemy ships out of the water as it fired the Fidels fired all their missiles as they fled the scene with the zepplins but would return if the Earthshaker Missile was ineffective against the Libre ships

Pacific Ocean Southeast of Taiwan, International Waters
Rear Admiral Liam Ryans sat there thinking. What had his small city-state gotten into? A war on the scale of World War Two.

"Sir! We will be approaching the central Pacific soon, where our flotilla is to wait." Commander Trevor Jackson reported.

"Excellent, tell me when we are there."

"Yes sir," the commander left the room.

Nitrongaia Defense HQ, Nitrongaia, Independent Republic of Nitrongaia
"WHO SPILLED COFFEE ON THE FLOOR?!"

"Uh-- I did sir."

"CLEAN IT UP!"

"Yes sir," the man replied meekly.

Leon Sparu went to his office and shut the door. He sat down on his chair and sipped his Coke. Apparently he was supposed to be watching events and battles of the war, which basically meant sit there and do nothing until their flotilla reported something.

After waiting a while Leon drifted to daydreaming.

Tehraanian Northern Fleet, 700km from Palau

Admiral Nerakan watched his strategic and tactical display that was fed by the many sensors and other assets via data-links that connected the Tehraanian forces on the Digital battlefield. "That's some force they have. For such a small island." He said as information from satellite and Globalhawk surveillance revealed a general overview of what the Japanese had and were doing to defend Palau.

"We got a large amount of radar contacts Admiral. From our AWACS were detecting a large force of Mitsubishi A6M zeroes." The main radar officer reported. Nerakan could see the contacs in his display and bursted out in laughter. "What do they think they can accomplish with those horrifically outdated aircraft. They don't stand a chance against our aircraft regardless of their numbers. Not to speak of their general inability to penetrate our defenses. Although to be honest such a large force might be able to deplete our missiles onboard the ships. Yet It will take them some time to arrive. We can easily shoot them down with our own aircraft and take no casualties." He said while laughing.

"Pathetic." He added while establishing contact with Central HQ. "This is Admiral Nekaran to the Northern fleet command. Do you copy. He spoke into his microphone. The face of his commander appeared on a 3rd screen at his command and control station. "This is high command, what is it?" The commander replied. "I request that land based aircraft are launched to intercept the Zero's trying to move on our fleet. This might also be a good time to send out fighters to defend some of our air assets." Nerakan said while scanning the other screens.

The proximity allowed them to send out their land based fighter aircraft in support of their fleet operations in this area. A significant advantage. But ofcourse countered by the Japanese own airbases in the region. However that would be dealt with soon enough.

"We will see to it Admiral, continue you mission as ordered. We don't see a good reason to change our tactics now that we know more or less what where up against." The High Admiral replied and turned off the come-link. Nerakan continued to watch his displays. He was quite suprised at the level of incompatance. Even as he was more then aware of the suicide tactics the Japanese used. This attack was more of a general waist of resources then anything else. Sure it could force them to spend ammunition as the zeroes were a threat should they be ignored. Thus making them vulnerable to other attacks until the time they could reload their air defense weapons. However, their own aircraft could easily just fly over the zeroes at an alititude the zeroes couldn't reach. From which they could just attack the zeroes with their look down shoot down capability. The Japanese could have better put the resources and man power they now wasted in developing better weapons than this.

"Order the fleet in level 1 battle stations." Nerakan ordered his First officer who nodded, sending the order to all ships. The Mantis air defense system was set to full auto. Bagef UAVs were deployed to patrol the perimeter of the fleet, providing early warning for low flying objects and submarines, as well as providing ECM.

The Tehraani fleet formed a wall of ships with high value ships behind the wall in the general Direction of the Japanese. With the flanks covered. Moving slowly to make sure they would be keeping distance. They had no intention to engage in short range naval battles with the Japanese, as the Tehraani navy was not build on that form of naval warfare. Instead they would have a few nasty surprises for the Japanese.

While the Japanese claimed to have an advanced and well trained navy. Their methods showed their biggest weakness. They had their minds firmly in 1908-1960 naval war methodology. Against the Tehraani style of modern naval warfare they had no hope of even remotely winning. It didn't matter how many vessels their inflated military possessed.

"We know wheir their fleet is located in the area. Time to soften them up a little before we strike the killing blow." Admiral Nerakan remarked, smiling grimly at the prospect of sending a large Japanese Fleet to the bottom of the sea.

Nerakan ordered and anti shipping strike launched from coastal installations using his command & control console .

The Tehraanians possessed the NDN or National Defense Network. A series of surface installations that had been placed in many locations around Tehraan. Stationary intallations with a full array of air-defenses and anti-ship missiles of all kinds. In a large complex that could fire hundreds of missiles at thousands of targets at the same time. A expensive but powerful weapon, intended as the first line of defense against attacks from the air and sea when they got close to Tehraan. Many of the anti-ship missiles however had ranges beyond their own international waters. And with no treaties binding them, their were little obstructions to their ability to cover a large part of land and sea with their weapon ranges.

A particular weapon they had was the Nenda-44 CB ERSAShM. A large cruise missile. It had a maximum range of 3600km and was designed to attack enemy vessels from a distance that prevented retaliation in most cases. They were expensive and in normal cases not used en mass. But with the war economy in full effect, it was so that at the current situation the military had pretty much a blank check on the procurement and production of weapons for the whole duration of the war. They had little qualms about mass producing expensive weapons and the employment of them.

The power of these missiles had already been proven when they were imployed against the Allanean navy during the war at Drackonisa. Having multiple missiles successfully penetrate the Allanean fleet defenses and sink many vessels. Their next employment would be on a much larger scale and against a fleet that lacked the defensive assets the Allaneans had that time.

Most importantly off all, they seemingly lacked any sort of Airborne early warning system. That meant that they wouldn't detect these missiles before it was far to late due to their lack of over-the-horizon radar.

At one of the NDN AA-ASh installation located near the city of Karadan. The personnel received their orders. "Begin the Nenda-44 CB launching sequence." The main commander shouted to the many men that sat behind the consoles that were used to operate the installation.

The missile bays opened. A lot of the installation's functions were automated. It had 5 launching bays for the Nenda-44 DBs. Each launcher had a rotory reloading system that could set a new missile in place 6 seconds after launching a missile. With a large supply of missile loaded in the larger complex below. A single installation could theoretically deploy enough missiles to take out an average sized fleet.

With the general area of the fleet known these missiles could be launched at them.

A cold launch system propelled missile after missile out of the launcher. In groups of 5, a total of 88 groups were launched from several installations and mobile launching sites that had been set up. Making a total of 440 missiles fired, thus making sure that there were atleast 2 missiles for each japanese ship. Their targets were the main Japanese naval vessels, the submarines weren't detected (yet) and patrol boats were either not yet spotted or not threatening enough for the Tehraanians to waist the missiles on.

The missiles possessed a three stage flight profile. The first stage was a booster missile that ignited after launch and brought the missile to a certain altitude where it detached from the missile. At the second stage its main engine would start and it would deploy its wings. Were it would cruise at a subsonic speed to the target.

It followed the pre-programmed path it was giving but maintained contact via satellites and other Tehraani communication systems so that they could receive updates during its course from the command centers that had control over them. The flight path was set so for each missile that they would attack the Japanese simultaneous and from multiple directions. Puting more pressure on the Japanese fleet defenses.

At that point its first defense penetration ability would come into effect. It flies at a certain altitude during it's approach. An altitude that was under the radar horizon of the average ship based radar. The Japanese lack of airborne early warning systems made this even more effective. Without over-the-horizon radar they would see them coming before it was to late. At average the radar-horizon of a ship's radar was between 30-50km. At that distance the third stage was already in effect.

Their were two versions of the Nenda-44 DB, version I and version II. Version I was ordinary but version II had an extra feature. An build in radar scanning array used to detect targets up to 400km away, it could detect and assign targets via data-links to the other 4 missiles. A missile group of 5 was always launched with 1 of these being the Version II. Thus forgoing the need for an other radar in range of the target for target designation and course updates. Only the initial coordinates of the target were needed, the version II's radar would provide the need for all the other procedures for hitting a target at long range.

Once the missiles had found and had been assigned their targets they would begin the attack. The main guidance was inertial and GPS, but several radar updates were used to increase accuracy. The normal radar for this had a 200km range. At the first target acquisition the missile would enter their third stage. The Hypersonic final sprint.

For the Nenda-44 DB cruise missile is merely a delivery method. In the final 200km of it's flight, the cruise missile is detached and releases a smaller hypersonic anti ship missile. This missile begins boosting it's speed, breaking the sound barrier in a short time period and continues increasing it's speed until it reaches it's top speed between Mach 5.23-5.8. Once it has reached its peak of it's speed it drops to an even lower altitude of around 5 meters above sea level. Were it skims the surface towards it starget at incredible speeds. The short detection range when flying under the radar horizon and its speed is what makes it so deadly. It uses a mix of Inertial and radar guidance to locate it's target and has been equipped with ECCM in the form of data-processing to help it distinguish between chaff decoys and it's target as well as home-on-jam guidance to counter the use of on board radar jammers.

Admiral Nerakan watched his display as the blips that represented the missiles began their journey towards their target. It would take them around an hour to reach their intented targets. But when they did, Nerakan knew that he might very well have dealt the Japanese fleet that stood in his way a crippling blow without firing a single shot at the enemy with his fleet.

But their were other things to attend to as well. Intergral in warfare was denying the enemy its advantages. Regardless of the level of sophistication one's forces were. Attacking any well entrenched and supported enemy would be extremely hard and would demand a lot of sacrifice. Unlike the Japanese, the Tehraanians lacked the suicidal willingness of sending thousands of soldiers against well defended position. Its marine corps wasn't a force build to rely on numbers. Every single one of them was trained well, the money spend to make them into the warriors they were was to much to send them needlessly in badly planned human wave attacks like the Japanese did.

At least not without trying to take away several things that could be used against them. Most notable was it's ability to project air power in an area, as well as it's air defenses. If those would be taken out or crippled. The Tehraanians could make better use of their air units and protect their forces from enemy air attacks while they advanced on the entrenched Japanese.

Nerakan had been given permission to use the Tehraanian missile corpse in it's operation.
"Officer. Do we have the necessary Intel on the enemy positions of airfields, air defenses and other bases?" he asked his communication officer. "Yes, we already knew were the airfields are located and with the Globalhawk in the air we have little problem finding what ever SAM or SSM they have on those small Islands." The officer replied.

Nerakan smiled even more brightly. "Excellent, the Nips will pay dearly for what they have done. I will see to it that the Missile corpse receives their order. I'll send the order via data-link to central HQ. They shall inform the Missile corps of their strike mission." He said. The anticipation of dealing the blow to the japanese was setting him on edge. The shear firepower they were going to unleash in this war, has never been done on this scale by Tehraan. And it wasn't even their full potential yet.

The Missile corps was a sub-branch under the direct control and command of Central HQ that had both land, sea and air elements. It controlled most if not all cruise missile and ballistic missile forces on both a tactical and strategic level. Their were many ground based launching systems that could deploy ballistic and cruise missiles.

The Nenda-44 was an entire cruise missile family of several sizes for many different purposes and targets. The extended range anti ship versions had been fired on the Japanese fleet. And their land attack counterparts would be fired on the Japanese ground forces.

The Nenda-44 B series was a 1200km range version. Much smaller and cheeper than the Nenda-44 C and D who could reach even greater distances.

Three types of GPS guided cruise missiles were fired. The first was the Nenda-44 BD special-purpose version. This version wasn't intended for directly attacking a target. They had several sub-versions with different kinds of sensors or other equipment. In this case they had been loaded with a area wide multi-frequency barrage radar jammer. Once fired they would loiter over their designated area, the signals transmitted would interfere with Japanese radar thus decreased the efficiency of their air defenses that could be used to intercept the other cruise missiles. 80 of these were launched to several Japanese controlled areas in both Yap, Palau, Indonesia and Austrailia.

The Nenda-44 BC was a cluster munition carrier that also had several sub-versions for specific targets. 2000 guided sub-munition carriers were fired at known Japanese AA and coastal batteries as well as known stationary concentrations of artillery on Palau. Once over their targets each cruise missile would deploy 40 smart sub-munitions that would seek out their targets in the area and destroy them with explosively formed penetrators.

2000 unguided sub-munitions carriers were sent to airfields in the region that would unleash their payload on top of the Japanese aircraft. Along with an additional 500 anti-runway submunition carriers. So that the Japanese airforces would be crippled.

In a single attack the Tehraanians had fired more cruise missiles than they had ever fired in their entire combat history. But they weren't sparing any expenses in fighting this war. Thus Tehraan unleashed hell on the Japanese, a taste of what was to come.

Central HQ

"That an very large scale attack we just fired. And expensive too. Were going to see that back in the post war debt." Nentayeg said as the map now displayed the missile attack of what might be considered of ludicrous proportions. Kayameg laughed at the High Chairman's words. "You didn't bluff when you gave your speech about going into total war against Japan. I must be honest we more or less copied Allanean military methodes when it comes to large scall cruise missile attacks like these and although we don't possess the total economic power the Allaneans have to do these attacks without seeing it back in debt we do have blank check in the use and production of these missiles. It is a very effective way of taking out the many Japanese military assets without having to risk our forces." Kayameg explained. Nentayeg nodded "I see. I already expected that this war would cost much. But your right. Besides we should be willing to expend whatever expenses are required to take out the Japanese thread.

"A lot is happening. Some nation have sided with the coalition or with the japanese. It appears that the Symphonians have actually declared war on the Japanese. That good news. It only a matter of time before the Japanese break under this. They have lost this war before it even started." Nentayed said as the over saw the events unfolding. The balance seemed to be shifting more and more into Tehraan's favor.

"The Japanese aircraft are moving in on us. Old zeroes." The High Admiral of the Northern fleet reported. "We have already prepared our airforces, they won't get far." The Supreme air force General who had been silent the whole time said. "Then get them in the air. Don't forget to send escorts to our other aircraft in this theater like Admiral Nerakan requested. Who know when their going to unleash real aircraft at us."

From the many airbases on Tehraan. Scramble sirens sounded everywhere as T-MiG-28Ms, D3M and D6's took off from the run ways. Each of the other aircraft in the air got an escort of 4 D3M. While 360 T-MiG-28Ms, 120 D3M and 96 D6M were launched in all directions from were the zeroes came. Their was no art to it. They would just fire their missiles on the Zeroes while flying at a height the Zeroes couldn't reach. Lacking any of the modern fighter avionics and other equipped, their would be practically a 100% for the Tehraani AAMs and the zeroes couldn't do anything back. This single wave could launch 5136 missiles and then maybe make short dive attacks to fire their 20mm and 30mm guns. After which they could launch wave after wave for some time before the zeroes reached the Northern fleet. And whatever remained had very little chance of penetrating the think air defenses of both Tehraan and it's fleets. As even a single Akalef air defense frigate possessed more fire power then a S-400 battery. In a fleet formation no aircraft could get, no matter how advanced could survive when moving within firing range.

The Cobra Earthshaker missile had been hit by an anti-missile rocket, something that was considered a miracle. The Cobra forces were weakening, and a final wave of planes to destroy the small number of planes left was underway. The ships were damaging Imperia ships all the way to the bottom, and the Admiral fired the Rocket Propeter guns, firing at the last standing Zeppelins. Planes that survived were being refueled and rearmed.

Midway

In response to the increased enemy effort, Cruisers began launching their anti ship missiles. The super Hornets that were still in the air began to do the same. It is unknown what damage the previous wall of anti ship missiles had done to the enemy fleet. With the number of A10s greatly reduced, they were ordered to remain on the carrier. With Midway engulfed in flames, Admiral Andrews was surprised to see the Japanese drop supplies for what troops remained. He decided it would be best to handle that later. Destroyers, having detected the enemy submarines location via sonar, had stopped using their depth charges and began using Explosive tipped anti-submarine rockets or ASROCs. The rockets flew from their launchers for a brief time, then heading straight down into the ocean right where sonar had pinned them. Any air that came toward the Imperian fleet would be quickly engaged by AA guns and SAMs from the already busy Imperian Cruisers. Marines continued firing Javelins at the enemy ships. Some of them laughed at the sight of the enemy forces copying them.
Still on the deck of his ship, Narville watched as one of his men died. Despite his pleas for a corpsman, no one came. the lieutenant became enraged. He picked up his rifle and fired at enemy passing planes. Often using an entire clip for just one enemy bird. Still the marines not firing Javelins were using their high caliber assault rifles. Any hits they made would have caused some damage. After using three magazines on enemy air, Narville's rifle broke. The HM19-A2 was not designed for firing the .308 rounds on full automatic for an extended period of time. In result The barrel of Narvilles rifle had nearly snapped in half. After Some failed attempts at pulling the trigger he realized he was combat ineffective. After a brief moment of looking around at the surrounding battle, He figured the best thing he could do was help quell the fires on his ship.
The bombings by the Japanese on the naval fleet had caused some damage. The most troublesome was a small hole created on the deck of a carrier. It prevented anymore planes from landing on the carrier but was in a position that in a careful take off could be avoided. AA guns and SAMs from the Cruisers would make sure that the Japanese never got an opportunity to take such an action again.

Imperia

The creation of over 280 Kinetic missiles were complete. The manufacturing was expensive but would be worth the cost. Once again F/A-18s flew from their airfields and fired at the remaining GEIJD satellites. With their satellite defenses having already been used, the damage from this attack was sure to be catastrophic for the Japanese.
With Presidential elections quickly approaching, President Reese decided to give the War effort one last gift before he stepped out of office. In a televised event, he signed a bill that was approved by the senate, to Double the Naval Capabilities of Imperia before the end of the year. The people, being for the war due to Japanese attacks, have called the bill the turning point. However despite the bill being signed recently, The Navy had been increasing its size since the beginning of the conflict. Even with the increased attention on defense, Senator Sedah, the leading incumbent, Says its not enough and promises if he is elected he will bring the nation to a power it could never imagine.

The cobra planes and zepplins turned back their Fake weakness making the libre ships now too busy dealing with the Imperia ships and planes the fidels flew in their MG52s firing so fast smoke was coming from the barrel as the Cobra zepplins sent out hinds armed with MG52s ,grenade machine guns and the Hinds Normal Missiles and guns as they where just finished loading for bear as they flew in firing as fast as they can as some opened their back revealing some of the Vampire units they jumped out hoping to land on the ships and take them over

Monolith Fleet

Code: Select all
Quendi and Tehraan fleet detected.

"Everyone stop." Said the Naval commander. The Monolith's engines stopped, and the Naval commander said back to the transmitter. "Friendlies?"

Code: Select all
Unknown.

"Okay. Send the two Doomsday Monoliths to do some damage." The two Monoliths sped ahead, their missile pods opening up, and the Cruise missiles at the top preparing to fire. The guns swiveled to make them work properly, and the Doomsday Monoliths prepared for one heck of a battle.

Time for an impact.

The Fleet was now taking a beating. The fleet had lost over 30 ships in these attacks, and would not be able to keep holding. The Admiral requested reinforcements, and HQ had promised to bring the 8th Fleet to Midway. The 8th Fleet promised to be there in less than a day, as they had previously been ordered to fight in another battlefield. Now they would head towards Midway, and would restore control in the area. The Admrial began to withdraw from the fight, and returned to their blockade positions in front of Midway. Marines and Navalmen were wounded by the many. Medics were working doubletime to heal the wounded. The Admiral stepped outside, to where many of the men were resting from a hard days work. A wounded man went as far as to try to stand up and salute the Admiral, but was not able to do so. The Admiral smiled at him. He stood up to his men, at the front of the ship, and began his speech. "Gentlemen, I am amazed. Back home, when we were preparing for this war, I heard many rude statements about Libre Borinquens fighting force. The most common was that we wouldnt survive our first battle. But today, despite our losses, we showed the world that we will not go down withought a fight. We showed the world that we are still in this war. We have shown our enemies that even though we may sink to the darkest depths of the ocean, we will bring as many more of them down with us! We have porven that though we can be beaten back, we can leave a wound on the enemy! Men, I am proud to lead each and every one of you. You have all proven your worth to your country. You are all heroes. No matter what the world may say about you, you are all heroes. Men, tomorrow, we may not live. Tomorrow may be our last day on Earth, but we will make sure that tomorrow, our enemy makes a historical date out of it. A day of fear. Gentlemen, battlestations!"
The Men, now more determined than ever, wounded and cook, grabbed whatever long-ranged weapond they could find. They loaded the guns in the ships, and they kept watch of any enemy presence. As they fell back, they dropped sea mines to the water, in case the enemy ships, submarine of not, would go after them. If the enemy decided to assault, the AA fire would be the first to shoot. Silence ruled the time.

In Cobra Union:
(No one can react to this, except allies.)

Libre Borinquen Special Ops had been able to infiltrate the country of Cobra Union thanks to a group of fishermen and farmers, as they saw the government as a tyranny. The Spec Ops had been trained to know the Cobra Union language without accent, the peoples attitude, ytheir patriotic attitude, the laws of this country, and everything that they needed to learn in case of any situation with Cobra soldiers. The farmers and fishermen returned to their homes, as the Spec Ops blended into the night with their Cobra civilian clothes. Their mission as recon, propaganda, and intelligence from the enemy. But nothing is as simple as it is. They were removed everything that could identify them as being from Libre Borinquen. Even their most precious cross neclaces were removed in case of detection. They were determined to accomplish their mission, one way or another.

Midway 4 ever

Crewman:"Their falling back to Midway sir!"

Admiral Andrews:"Very well then, status report?"

Crewman:"4 battle ships and 2 Destroyers sunk. Almost all the A10s are out of commission but our Super Hornets are still strong. All ships are damaged, most at a minimal."

Admiral Andrews:" alright, order the crews to prioritize stopping the flames on their ships, also get the Anti Ship Missiles at the ready. I want them all loaded up in case the fleet makes another try."

The Fleet had changed its noise. Only some minutes ago Rockets and gun fire had drowned out everything. Now with that done, the moans from the wounded and the few remaining flames were the all that was left. Corpsman, now getting assistance, were the first to break the constant sound. "...Help me lift him up." was the first thing that Narville heard. By now thanks to some rather educated crewman, The ships had stopped their fires by suffocating them with Carbon Dioxide. The use of the gas came with some drawbacks. The inside of the ship couldn't be entered until the gas was vented out. After some minutes a majority of the flames were quelled and the fleets defenses were back on the ready, including a large amount of ASMs. When the word came in that Imperian command was going to send a second and larger fleet to assist, Admiral Andrews sent a message to the enemy forces.

"Blood has been spilled on all of our forces, however we have proven that we are easily capable of victory. I ask now that you turn your fleets around so that you may live to fight another day. We have prepared our offenses to unleash at such a volume that your defenses will not be able to handle. Turn your ships around so that your men may live."

The sun began to rise after the long night of fighting. The blockade had become visible in the horizon. Narville managed to regroup with he four remaining members of his unit. They looked out ahead into the ocean by the enemy fleet. It was only two days ago that Roman had shared this experience with the unit. When they stared out into the ocean when they first left Imperian Ports. Everyone knew the connection. Some worried, that if the war continued this way, if it would become a tradition.

AFN Naval Global Headquarters, Deterias, Metropolitan Symphonia, Asian Federation of Nations

Defense Minister Akihiko Sakamoto sat in the closed meeting rooms within the NGH, discussing the latest battle plan for the invasion of Japan. The Nippon Fleet had already been within striking range of the Home Island of Hokkaido, after all. Any attempt to escape Japanese waters would mean certain death, as the former peacekeeping force was now outnumbered by the many naval ships guarding any approaches to and from Japan.

With the declaration of war, the AFN moved its offensive resources into position. The 1st, 2nd, 5th, and 7th Fleets were on their way to encircle the Japanese homeland and take the key island of Guam, which would then be used as a base for an offensive against southern Japanese holdings.

"Sir, Supreme Admiral Han has notified that he is in position for attacking Hokkaido and releasing the military units needed for setting up the bases needed for an invasion of Honshu and northern Japan," said an officer," If all goes to plan, Japanese forces in the Home Islands will be taken by surprise, as they are being hammered in Midway, Taiwan, and now Oceania."

Image

"Very good," replied Akihiko," Am I to be assured the if our invasion fails, that Guam will rapidly to our forces and can be used as a base to invade Kyushu and Shikoku?"

"Yes sir. At our estimates, the invasion of Hokkaido will be in the least suicidal," replied another officer," However, it should begin to cause some worry in the minds of the Japanese military that an AFN strike could come so close to Tokyo and their so-called divine Emperor."

The Defense Minister nodded and sent the battle plans to the Nippon Fleet via secure connection. If Japan were to gain hold of the plans in Hokkaido, then the AFN would strike on Guam immediately.

Nippon Fleet, Japanese Territorial Waters, 25 miles off Hokkaido

Han looked over the plans, and nodded. After sending a confirmation letter, the Supreme Admiral leaned back and sighed deeply.

So Deterias had decided that rescue was not possible and had sent his men to a suicide mission. Very well, for in the least it would be done in revenge. Standing up, the admiral ordered his supercarriers to begin launching their F-35s against the coastal defenses of Hokkaido. He also ordered the missiles cruisers and any missiles on his battleships to be fired as well.

A few moments later, Han could see hundreds of jet-fighters take to the skies from the supercarriers Liberation and Holy Terra. The missile launchers of the many cruisers and 3 Super Yamato battleships erupted into the sky, as many as 75 high-speed Naval Strike Missiles arced towards the cities of Hokkaido, namely Sapporo, Hakodate, Kushiro, and Muroran.

Midway:
Now that a steady amount of supplies was reaching the last of the defending forces it was time for some support. Overnight (And I mean last night since no one posted much) Imperial Ships had arrived to support the Musashi and the Frigates protecting it. The battleships Yukinari and Oda had arrived along with an Anti-air warship. Soon all of the Vessels were in formation and the sun shined off the plating. The fleet opened fire on the Cobra and Imperia vessels in an attempt to disable them.

Midway

The surprise attack on from the Imperial Japanese had sunk the fleets last battleship. Despite the lost, the fleet was not worried. In retaliation to the attack, the moderate amount of Anti-Ship Missiles, which were meant to destroy the remaining blockade, were fired from the fleets 5 cruisers. 4 Destroyers and the 4 Submarines fired their torpedoes at the 3 Imperial Japanese Ships. F/A18-Super Hornets stayed out of this fight. After the long battle before them, the planes needed time to refuel. While one of the carrier runways remains fine the other had a small crater going through it. The crewman have spent hours, since it formed, trying to fix it.
Narville had ordered his men to take up battle positions once the Battle ship cannons flashed at them. His Unit was responsive, he'd give them that. He had asked a crewman before if he could fix his rifle, conveniently enough, the crew man had arrived, rifle in hand. Narville was pleased at the least to see his barrel was one solid piece again. Afterwords, Narville stared in awe at the massive volley heading toward a mere three ships, He knew that the ships would be lucky to get out floating after that attack.
Admiral Andrews looked out at the attacking enemy fleet as well as the recovering blockade. They're not cooperating with each other. Andrews knew that this would be the cause of their probable victory. His fleet has taken out more ships then they have lost, His fleet had set midway inflames, His fleet had held off an attack from a larger fleet, But more importantly, His fleet is getting reinforcements.

Imperia Port

In Imperia, the war effort has brought the creation of a larger fleet to assist the damaged fleet at Midway. With security at home tightened due to the nation's allies, the military feels comfortable bringing in more of its forces. At Imperian Ports A large Naval fleet begins its departure. With the remaining Kinetic missiles launched at the GEIJD Satellites, The airforce feels that it can spare more birds for the war effort. Since Imperian Command is still waiting for confirmation on the destruction of all GEIJD Satellites, a moderate number of the Super Hornets will stay behind in the event more launches are needed. As the fleet moves on crew man and the few marines on board watch as their home disappears in the horizon. Admiral Montgomery was placed in charge of the fleet, Similar to Andrews, a Crewman approached him with the final totals to the fleet. Unlike Andrews, Montgomery looked very pleased with the numbers.
150,000 Personnel total
9,800 Marines
2 Aircraft Carriers
10 Cruisers
9 Destroyers
6 Submarines
8 Transport Ships
100F/A-18 Super Hornets
20 A10 Warthogs
100 M1A1s
200 Strykers
500 Armored Humvees

OOC: A normal flotilla in Nitrongaia is consisted of 2 destroyers, 1 cruiser, 2 frigates, and 2 subs. Nitrongaia has no term for carrier battle group, so it is also referred to as a flotilla, also sometimes called "carrier flotilla".

Leon was asleep when the phone rang loudly. He jumped out of his chair and answered the call.

"Hello?"

"Leon, this is the Defense Minister, got any news?"

"Uhm, let's see, giant battle in the Midway Atoll. I'm pretty sure that's going to show up at the 12 o clock news."

"Anything else?"

"Our flotilla is nicely placed in the middle of the Pacific, awaiting orders from us."

"Send them to Midway."

"Thats insanity! You know how crowded it is?! Going there means death, we don't have a fleet assembled, this is just a simple flotilla with an advantage of one carrier! I'm surprised both sides still have ammo! They've been firing back and forth for days!"

"Do it."

"This is a waste of-"

"My word is final."

"But-" *click. The Defense Minister hanged up. If it was any other person, Leon wouldn't care, but the Defense Minister was Leon's superior, and orders were orders. Leon reluctantly gave out the orders for the flotilla to set out for Midway.

Pacific Ocean
There the carrier flotilla was. The sea was at peace, and the sun shone through the sky.

"New message from command," Trevor reported. "They want us to go to the Midway Atoll. Theres a big battle raging there."

"Off we go then, eh?"

SS Winter
Tigershark Class Diesel Attack/Missile Submarine
Operations Deck

The Winter was now north east of Taiwan, having been sailing at a good rate of knots with the other subs for nearly three days. Far to its south now was the engagement between the Quendi fleet and Japanese aircraft and submarines. Taiwan was now to the south west, and the Japanese fleet to the west. The Captain of the Winter still didn't know why they had been asked to take this course - but soon they would find out.

Meanwhile, the main fleet had come to a holding position south west of Taiwan.

The 8th Fleet was able to arrive to the 7th Fleet, using another route as the Imperial Japanese Navy fought against Cobra and Imperia. They were astonished when theybsaw the damaged 7th Fleet. Both Admirals contacted each other, and decided to help Imperial Japan fight their battle. They arrived in a different route, to avoid the mines they had let out at sea earlier. 8th Fleet commander Admiral Tito was now the commander of 2 fleets. "Order the fighters to go on the air. Order the bombers to start bombing the planes. Take the Imperia by surprise. When we arrive, tell the Fleets to all aim at one ship. After sinking that ship, aim at the next, and the next. From the weakest ship to the strongest. Tell the Marines to bring their Javelines and fire at the same targets. The 8th fleet would now experience what the men from the 7th fleet did. It was not going to be pretty.

Huge fights

Midway
Special Music

"'It is them...them!!! HUO!!!! Social Democratic Japan, banzai!" the Imperial Japanese Midway fleet, cheered at the arrival of an ally. In addition, after days of travelling, another force came to the island. Over 8,000 Guernsey Land mercenaries, with 800 more helicopters, flew over to join the fight in Midway. Soon, the 55 Guernsey Land STS II warships, also joined the fight. As all these gradually approached Midway, 300 Stealth UAVs, flew overhead, to engage the enemy air forces, with their powerful 40mm heavy machine guns, capable of 580 rounds per minute. The JMSDF Navy fleet, the former navy, of the old JSDF military, merged into the Imperial Japanese Navy, was on its way, later on. This force, was going to pack a punch, on enemy positions. AEGIS destroyers, would be more than enough, to counter any missile, shoot towards the JMSDF fleets. At the same time, the 17th Grand Fleet, left Kagoya Harbour, for NewIndependentCanada, where they would remain, for the rest of the war. In the harbours of a neutral ally of Japan.

A sea, the newly combined Japanese fleets, began to pound at all enemy forces around Midway. On the island, 20% of AA defences were crushed by Imperian air strikes, however, the island remained capable, shooting massive amounts of SAMs, flak rounds, AA rounds, autocannon fire, as well as shells, to bombard the A-10s into annihilation. Some UAVS, from the newly arrived JMSDF, around 60 of them, flew off, with all of the JMSDF 314 aircraft, to launch a full scale retaliatory attack, against the Imperian forces, preparing their heavy machine guns, their missiles, as well as their other weapons + avionics, to engage in combat. On ground, Japanese troops, began to reposition, as mercenary reinforcements made their landing, to reinforce the Japanese already there.

Suddenly, a new order was issued. All Air power in Midway, is stop dogfighting, instead, rely on stealth, as well as long range combat, shoot missiles, at the enemy, to wipe them out.

Taiwanese Fight, in South China Sea...

The Zeroes, saw what was happening to the stealth fighters. All 310 of them would be toast, if not careful. As a result, 6,000 of the many zeroes currently in the air, regrouped, to fly around the stealth fighters, taking most of the blows into them. In addition, the stealth fighters, after 6,000 zeroes were sacrificed to save them, a good 50 of the stealth fighters were spared the damage. The 13,000 other Zeroes, flew back to their carriers, then back to Taiwan, or so they thought, as Quendi closed in from above, taking the zeroes into a hard fight, shooting down 300 of them so far. Another 200 died out in the fighting, however, the Zeroes, were not the ones from WWII as the enemy anticipated. They terribly underestimated these weapons. The zeroes, were outfitted with modern heavy machine guns, autocannons, as well as missiles. They were also refitted with higher modern standards. They began to ascend in altitude, to search the Quendi aircraft, to engage them. Some 700 Zeroes blew up, in the ascension, as they were not always prepared for such, yet still, they could manage.

The Zeroes, began to shoot each of them, 2 Mitsubishi AAA-4s, to counter the Quendi aircrafts, once they were located with infrared avionics on board the zeroes. The Japanese pilots, knew quite well, that stealth, could not really withstand infrared technology, thus, the zeroes were, like the rest of the air forces, fitted with the technology. They entered combat in close range with the enemy fighters. It soon became an all-out dog fight. The zeroes were turing with their opponents. Trying to get behind the enemy fighters so that they could them in their crosshairs. Unleashing salvos with their 42.7mm guns on the enemy. Pilot Yosuhito was in combat with one enemy aircraft. He made a rolling maneuver to let the enemy over shoot him, nearly hitting a burning zero that was crashing downwards. He felt the high level of G forces on his body. Despite the enormous presure he finally got the enemy in his sight. "Nippon Banzai!" He screamed as he pulled the trigger. Watching the tracers as they sped towards the enemy aircraft.

Over at sea, as the Quendi fleet, began to flee, the Admirals had begun to smile evil grins. They knew that, once Quendi forces tried to flee, it would be their end game. At the Japanese Phillipines, all troops on land, were put on high alert, while around Quezon, a fleet of 21 nuclear submarines, began to move towards the Quendi fleet, to attack them. In addition Admiral Yamamoto, dispatched the 4th Imperial Fleet, in its massive glory, to go in hot pursuit of the Quendi warships. Another thing the Quendians had not clue of, was that they were running straight into a trap, a trap of Quezon waters, filled with sea mines, as well as depth charges, or any sort of explosive trap in sea. This trap, was computer controlled, to detect whether passing ships were dangerous or not. The Quendi ships, would simply blow up, upon entering the densely trapped waters.

Yap & Palau, Indonesia & Australia

Palau would have been glad, not to reveal everything to the enemy, as well as setting up a trap..

The Japanese naval vessels, after being warned by the 23 Mitsubishi HX AWACS as well as 19 Nakajima JMZ Early Warning Systems, which were flying around, to gather information on enemy movements. This was something the enemy was kept in the dark about. These planes were already in the air, for a long while. They immediately warned the ships about the impending attack, which resulted in the ships each firing 5 countermeasures, to deter against the incoming cruise missiles. Most of these missiles were shot down, yet 290 of them still made their way through, yet hitting the patrol boats, since these were now positioned around the actual navy, to use as suicide defences, in the course of fighting with Tehraan. 120 PT boats were sunk in the process of the cruise strikes, after using sensory disruptors, to fool the missiles into targeting the PT boats instead. In addition, some ships were more or less hit as well, since the missiles were locked on their targets. 11 dreadnoughts were set ablaze, while 12 battleships, 9 juggernaughts, as well as 3 helicopter carriers, were sunk. However, it was not over. The ships, in retaliatory fire, shot a total of 2,100 modified SSM-1B cruise missiles, designed for up to 900km operational range, at the Tehraani fleet, once it was registered by the satellite imagery in space, as well as with infrared + radar, which immediately notified the navy, about the Tehraani positions, 700km South of Palau. The heat seaking cruise missiles, were fired, at the Tehraani fleet, in full force, with full relentless merciless sentiment, at them. In addition, AEGIS as well as all sorts of other defence systems, were also deployed on time, by Japanese forces, to counter the enemy.

As the enemy Bagef UAVs flew towards the Japanese, ECCM modules, propulsion modules, as well as backup arrays, were activated by all naval + air forces in the area, to avoid the enemy's ECM capability. In Palau, Yap, Indonesia, Australia, hundreds of anti-cruise missiles, were launched off of their silos, the very moment the blimps appeared on infrared, as well as radar systems. Satellite imagery, as well as AWACs, with EWS, had helped notify these Japanese lands, about the situation, way in advance. These were J-AMRAAM Hirohito NM-X Anti-Cruise Anti-Sub Munition Anti-Cluster Missiles, anti-cruise missiles specifically designed to destroy cruise missiles capable of sub-munitions, which were unleashed in full might, against the incoming enemy ones. A big portion of enemy missiles, were shot down, yet a few still moved, destroying 20% of Palau AA defence, 30% of Australian AA sites, in the process, yet not enough to cripple the Japanese war machine. Counter-EFP measures, armour on the AA vehicles, ABM vehicles, as well as air defence batteries, or any AA/ABM defences were soon deployed, to prevent excessive damage on the targeted bases. Ships, began firing hundreds of RIM-161 Refitted Standard Clustered Missile 3s, refitted now to also not only be anti-ballistic, yet be anti-cruise as well, to intercept the incoming enemy missiles, as the ships got into defensive formations, around these Japanese land masses.

The anti-runway weapons, were simply countered, by laying massive pebbles onto the runways, to camouflage the area. In addition, aircraft in the hundreds, were scrambled out into the air, patrolling Indonesian, as well as Australian air space, while runways were covered as well as deceptively hidden. In addition, jamming, as well as other possible countermeasures, were deployed against the anti-runway missiles. A force of Ito Shiro J-AARMs Type 1101 Anti-anti-runway (or simply anti-cruise or anti-sub munition) missiles, developed by Japan, back in 2006, during Madara's missile programmes of countering most enemy strikes, were launched at the incoming anti-runway missiles, with a combination of anti-cruise missiles, to destroy those horrid things. Most were annihilated, however, some enemy anti-runways still made their way, destroying 10% of runways in Indonesia, 20% in Australia.

In addition, there was something the Tehraani did not know. The Mitsubishi Zeroes, were DIFFERENT than those in World War II. These, were refitted with modern technology, as well as some degree of stealth. They also had early warning systems integrated in them, as well as newfound capability to strike at higher altitudes, perhapes, thirteen thousand metres above what they used to be capable of. Moreover, the only reason for their use, in modern warfare, was that they, despite the refitting, were still cheap to build as well as easy to make. They were also pretty good last resort weapons of war or suicidal weapons. However, it was time for the cat & mouse game to begin. The enemy aircrafts, would be drawn into a straighforward trap. A fleet of 20 Mitsubishi MEIJI 5th generation stealth multi-role unmanned aerial fighters, capable of 6,000km operational ranges, as well as very high altitudes, flew over towards the incoming Tehraani aircraft, after taking off from the Indonesian, Australian air fields, as well as those of Papua New Guinea, Tonga, Fiji.

With all these drones, heavily armed to the teeth, they would take the Tehraani down, as well as shoot missiles en masse, to disable the enemy. In addition, Japan, which had for so long never considered this option, now called upon it. From Papuan bases, a salvo of hundreds upon thousands of ballistic kinetic strike missiles, flew out, to head towards the Tehraani mainland, in retaliation for the damage done to Japanese assets. These missiles, would strike the heart of Tehraani air bases, AA/ABM defences, as well as knock out their air fields. In addition, a small group of freighters, headed from Indonesia, to Tehraan, to smuggle some saboteurs, in an attempt, to knock out enemy infrastructure.

Another thing was, the trap the enemy was running into, would be far worse than anything they had ever seen...besides what was already implemented... In addition, one should know quite well, that Japanese waters, were filled with sea mines, as well as other traps, activated only when enemy ships were detected, by computer. In addition, Japan, was now considering drastic options. From silos in Papua New Guinea, a salvo of ballistic kinetic strike hypersonic Nakajima Noriyori Type KT-HY 86 missiles, in the hundreds, were launched at Tehraani autonomous republic, to target their air bases, as well as destroy their defences as well. All missile strikes, began to use chaffs, to jam enemy radar, while launching decoy missiles to make it difficult for the enemy, to find out. After all, it had to be done, since they too were part of this war. From helicopter carriers, countless helicopters, flew over, to begin an assault on the enemy's Northern Fleet.

Japan also had enough. A force of 120,000 troops, with 350 metal storms equipped tanks, were loaded onto transports, in Djakarta, to head for an amphibious assault of Tehraan, to be covered with 70 stealth bombers, 178 Kamakov strike helicopters, as well as 4 nuclear super aircraft carriers, 20 helicopter carriers, as well as 60 AEGIS armed destroyers, to launch the amphibious offensive. In addition, 6 nuclear attack submarines, moved underwater, shooting a salvo of cluster missiles, as the Tehraani homeland...

Hokkaido

Upon receiving news of Symphonia's plans to invade Hokkaido, orders were given out. Soon, sirens were ringing eveywhere, with ground troops all 780,000 troops, gathering in position, to defend Hokkaido. In addition, half of the Panzerkamph Imperial Japanese Guard, was also deployed, as mechanized/armoured infantry forces they were, to defend the island, while the other half, was brough out from hiding, patrolling Kyushu, anticipating an invasion there as well. In addition, air defences, as well as ABMs, were being readied, while coastal guns, as well as flaks, were prepared. Aircraft were also scrambled in massive numbers, to patrol the Hokkaido airspace, in case of a Symphonian assault. In addition, the naval forces around Hokkaido, massed up around the island, in preparation for the possible naval engagement with AFN naval forces.

All vessels, had their weapons at the ready, with powerful, hard to penetrate, defences, capable of smashing hard at anything coming within firing range. In addition, over 35% civilians of Hokkaido, with 120,000 troops, were evacuated with absolute success, into Isolated China, for use, later on, in this war. At sea, all Hokkaido fleets, were assembled, to foil AFN's plans of a Hokkaido front. The Japanese response to AFN's declaration of war, was as appropriately as follows: the Emperor, ordered a massed up launch of 1,000 kinetic cruise missiles, from Hokkaido silos, to strike at Symphonian ships, in full force. Japan, then launched, a single nuclear ICBM, in an empty area of water, as a warning sign, that ICBMs were also an option, if AFN did not withdraw.

The nuclear missile, blew up in the water, creating a brilliant mushroom, while hitting no targets. However, this was a warning, a threat, directed at AFN, if they dare move against Hokkaido. At the same time, 80,000 special forces troops, were being loaded into transports, for an invasion of Symphonia.

In Space....

The New Imperian missiles/rockets, flew towards the Japanese satellites. However, the satellites, mustered their defences, shooting their countermeasures at the incoming. However, it was still a slightly futile attempt. While most missiles were destroyed, some still made it, striking down another 170 satellites, although there were still hundreds more out there, orbiting Earth. The Japanese response, however, was amazing. In return fire, a retaliatory attack, from missile silos in Vietnam, launched 2,000 long range kinetic missiles, over at Imperia, to strike important military targets. In addition, some drones, as well as EWSs, with AWACs forces, flew over, to intercept the Imperian Super Hornets. In addition, the Emperor of Japan, was now considering the deterrence option, using biological or chemical weapons, as a means of leverage against the Imperians...

Guam... Okinawa...

Upon hearing of AFN intentions, Japanese 2nd, 5th, 6th, 7th, 9th, 10th, 11th Imperial Fleets, were moving towards Guam, surrounding it, to join with the Guam defence already there:
General Okajiong Yuhankenji's Guam Operations

31,000 ground troops
290 TK-X (MBT-X) Type 10 Tanks
280 heavy artillery pieces
290 flak guns
211 AA guns
110 SAM launchers
10 SAM sites
90 Coastal guns
100,000 land mines
100,000 sea mines
100,000 IEDs

280 Stealth drone fighters
119 Mil Mi-26 Hinds
111 Kamakov KA-52 attack helicopters

29 nuclear submarines
21 helicopter carriers
28 nuclear battleships
This force, was heavy, yet the incoming reinforcements, along with 18 STS IIs from Guernsey Land, was more than enough to use against the enemy, in those areas...

"Ikuzo! Matte kudasai! Nani mono ka? Do shite wa?"

"We must prepared a naval assault, to prepare against the anticipated AFN strike."

"Indeed."

"Yes, indeed we shall..."

Middle East

As fighting there intensified, 200 Mitup Altay tanks, were brought in with 100 Zeppelins, to shoot at the Cobas, with cluster bombs, to push the enemy into trouble.

Assault on merchants...

With orders from the Emperor, the Imperial Japanese Navy as well as the air force, were on orders, to do things, for strategic purposes. The onslaugh began. Every merchant ship, civilian boat, was threatened or inspected by Japanese forces; or simply, the would sink th merchant/supply convoys, as well as kill these nation's desperately needed civilians, while at sea. In the air, Japanese aircraft, also pursued civilian as well as commercial airplanes, shooting them down at first opportunity. With supplies by sea or air, getting destroyed, the enemy could never support their wars against Japan. It was only a matter of time, before guerrilla tactics, as well as different sorts of unconventional tactics...

Conscription ordinance

By Imperial Decree, another 9 million civilians, were being conscripted, into the military, as the war went on over time...
