That was somewhat sarcastic, but I have read about the US Air Force studying the idea so as to defend satellites in wars with developed nations. I'll have to read it again and see if they've made any progress, but I doubt they made major progress, though I'd probably go with the other two options should they actually RP it that way, in which case the mental image of an astronaut punching out a cosmonaut would be pretty hilarious.

Yep. And Cresilia, I think you have a point with the no-megathread thing. While it was nice to only have one link, you could not find anything easily, and you really couldn't hold a topic for more than 3-5 posts. And we do nee d to start setting up IC threads.

A second civil war already? Good lord, tell the Government to remember that I can't actively fight in wars now!
Actually, I think we should change that. The US fought plenty of times- in Vietnam and Iraq, for example. And the Soviets invaded Afghanistan. I vote we simply disallow directly fighting with the other nation- that way I can still set up as many puppets as I want.

Ruridova, you can, of course, send military advisors, equipment, etc...you don't always have to send in an army. Of course, wars have a nasty way of escalating

An offcoast island, Orchid Island, is still under communist control, while many other rebel organizations roam the island:

The Anarchists: A group of radical Anarchists under James T. Johnson, based in the southern region. They lost the war early.
Total membership: 92,000. Many unregistered supporters.

People for Communist Liberation of Armedland (PCLA)- A large group of Communists, based in Orchid island, many miles away from the west coast of Armedland. They started 17 years ago in the Armedlandian Civil war, and were the primary opponents of the capitalists. The largest rebel movement.
Total membership: 6.5 Million at last count, many unregistered supporters.

People for a United Socialist Armedland (PUSA)- The second largest group of rebels. They are based in Orchid as well and have an alliance with the communists. Total membership: 900,000 at last count. Many unregistered supporters.

People for an Theocratic Armedland (PTA)- The smallest group by far, with only 3.5 thousand supporters. However, more radical than other groups.

If your civil war does happen, Acerbic might come in to try and make sure the PTA doesn't take over. They have a bit of a phobia of religiously oriented groups. Mainly, they plan to do this by sending the Communists money and stuff.

The current rulers support Ruridova, but the communists would definitely not. If the Anarchists or the Theocracy supporters took power, we would become a loner isolated state, our vast resources going to waste. This is basically a Saudi Arabian civil war while the world is deprived of energy: People are going to take sides.
