EMP's are a weapon that we have guarded ourselves well with. A million years of evolution an you'd be surprised on how many say "I EMP U, U- LOSE!".

No, if anything, that'll certainly shake things up on a ship, but no catastrophic shut down.

Oh i understand. Yet I dont use EMP, Ion is infact an instant deactivator of all technology that is powered by any form of energy other than natural. Useless against biomass nations, yet extremely useful against tech nations. Yet I am rping the UNE as a well ordered realistic faction, that could exist. So I wouldnt spam the ion cannon, and being so powerful it does not have a large AOE. Be mostly as target weapon. Ion based weapons the UNE use,other than the cannon, rip apart molecules of the object they hit, so are different in the type of ion.

You're only planet is being attacked and bombarded with Plasma Beams, Pulse Lasers, etc... not to mention my SpecOps Sangheili that are being inserted by Orbital Insertion Pods (Think of them like the ODST) and Strykla's fleet around it...

Perhaps, but if we kill the gravemind, the flood become as harmless as a butterfly. As stated to the wiki, they will do Nothing but create a new grave mind, which can take years. Necromorphs are self-Sufficient, and use Asymmetric warfare, playing dead, hiding, ambushing. I dn't recall the flood being capable of such.

This would be the case true,but it seems to me that that assault is working itself out. Also the fact that you think the UNE has all of its operations on Earth is foolish. We are dealing with the alien raid on earth as you speak and we can maintain other functions at the same time. The UNE is highly organized and any military enthusiasts dream in terms of capabilities. We could even launch an invasion on the aliens attacking our planet with considerable force without worry.
