Upon hearing word of the way the King of Denmark-Iceland had reacted at the African territorial Imperialist meetings earlier this week, The C.S.S. Senate declares a Trade Embargo on said Nation, and all diplomatic ties to said country are hereby relinquished. Meanwhile, an increased number of Delegates are sent to the Kingdom of Prussia to solidify a powerful Alliance and discuss prospects of a Mutual Defense Pact. They are sent, with the following message from the Premier Nikolai Trotsky.

Surely, word of how the Denmark-Iceland King had conducted himself at the Meetings earlier this week. We cannot continue diplomatic relations with such a nation that acts as such, and Prussia being a long-standing friend of the Commonwealth, we hoped, would agree to solidifying our friendship and Alliance against all possible threats to both our great Nations. We must stand vigilant against all enemies in this world today, from the Soviets across our Border, to the Imperialistic neighbors of your own Country. Due to a possible rise in tensions with the Soviet Union and the already present tensions and threat of military force from Denmark-Iceland, the Commonwealth converts a portion of its industry to arms manufacturing, mainly the M-13 rocket used in the Kaytusha MRL weapon system, SKS rifles, and assorted ammuniton. Roughly 120,000 Mosin-Nagant rifles have been removed from storage and deemed fit for combat, the purpose unknown.

To the outside world, this would be nearly invisible for the most part, the most visible part of the Commonwealth military mobilization would be the increase of activity near the Demilitarized Zone, and the refitting of the six Dreadnoughts positioned in the Baltic for modern equipment, heavier cannons, better anti-air capabilities, and other countermeasures. Kiev was a virtual beehive full of political and military hustle-and-bustle.

The death of Stalin resulted in the postponement of the Soviet-Commonwealth peace talks, and Trotsky and his top crew of Foreign Advisers return to Kiev to find the foreign affairs of the Commonwealth in disaster. With two possible wars on the horizon, the Commonwealth had no choice but to stay close to its current allies, and adopt an isolationist policy towards Nations that have made it clear that they would stand alongside Denmark-Iceland in the event of war, hoping not to agitate any more anti-Commonwealth feelings among the rest of the world.

IC: The borders along Prussia, the Commonwealth, and Holy German Empire were on full alert, expecting the inevitable attack that seemed like it would come any day. Parliamentary elections had just finished and this year's ruling party was the Österreichischen Nationalsozialistischen Partei(Austrian National Socialist Party), largely elected bent on promises of an even greater economy, industrial output, and most importantly, a stronger military. Propaganda posters were just about on every single building, urging men to join up rather than wait to be drafted, while similar posters were geared towards women.

In Vienna, the Imperial Plaza (The equivalent of Moscow's Red Square), the sides were adorned with Banners (although half of them contained swastikas), and civilians lined both sides, ready for the first military parade to be held since Austria-Hungary got their independence from the Holy German Empire.

Several Me-262's flew over in a triangle formation, the signal that the parade was soon to start. The crowd stood idly on the sides, most of them having an Austrian Flag in their hands, while another flight of Me-262's flew over heard. The sound of vehicles were getting ever louder, and soon the first line of SdKfz 251's (Each painted with a giant Belkenkreuz on the hood) drove down the street, while the gunners turned and saluted the balcony, where the Queen was standing. The crowd erupted into a volume of everything from the National Anthem (Gott erhalte, Gott beschütze) while most of the younger population erupted into a steady chant of "Seig Heil"

The parade lasted on for another hour, having everything from more SPW's to the newly developed Jagdtiger tank destroyer. It was taped and broadcasted later that night to the rest of the population, at least to the one's with television so to speak.

Phone calls and letters coming from the northern parts of the Empire shocked the Emperor: Danish Fleet Sighted Heading East!. The words came in an variety of forms, but it's message was clear. The Danish were up to something. The Emperor did not want to sit idly by and do nothing. He and the Reichstag discussed, and came to the agreement that raising Nationwide alertness, and mobilizing troops in the North would be their best options. Thousands of tanks, planes and personnel were sent north because the Reichstag feared a Danish invasion. Also the borders were fortified, and Bunkers Raised.

Holland was now completely under Imperial rule, and It's provinces now got the right to elect their own governments. Elections were due to be held soon.

In secret, the Reichstag and Emperor were planning on installing a nationwide democracy(The Emperor was already chosen by the people), and Holland was their testing ground.

Learning from the Danish State Security Service (DSSS) that the Holy Romans were mobilizing on the border with Schleswig-Holstein, Christian quickly parried, ordering a mass mobilization throughout Denmark itself and beginning a partial one in Iceland. Luckily, the Benediktine Line of fortresses along the border with the HRE was already manned and ready to push the Germanics back. Though he was still a bit unsure about the Emperor's motives, he took a propaganda gamble, calling a press conference at the imperial capital at Aalborg.

"Some of you may perhaps be wondering why the military has been ordered to mobilize. To the south, in the corrupt, nigh-monarchocommunist Holy Roman Empire, a similar mobilization has begun: I believe with the purpose of invading our borders. They wish to protect their leftist brothers to the east. This is what I say to them--the Danes can and will crush both foes, if need be! Thank you for your time."

Meanwhile, the Danish fleet had reached the Commonwealth's coast. A full 40 ships were assembled, comprising 5-ship task forces based around 1 Copenhagen-class heavy carrier, 2 Aalborg-class cruisers, 1 cruiser, and 1 frigate. Besides these surface ships, there were 20 submarines floating below just in case the Commonwealth fought back at sea. This massive force was only a fraction of the Kingdom's naval power. Around half of the rest was still in Denmark, so as to cut off Holy Roman trade in case of war, while the rest was scattered throughout Aden, Vestr-Afrika, Den Guldkusten, and Sud-Madragasco, ready to defend the new colonies. Grand Admiral Jan Thorhildur, the Count of Holstein, was the younger brother of the King and quite the talented naval man. Looking through his binoculars at the nearby city of Tallinn, Thorhildur grinned with bloodlust. There was a reason he was a military man.

Turning to his second-in-command, Lieutenant Hans, the Grand Admiral said, "I want 200 of our planes in the air as fast as possible, fifty of 'em fighters, the rest bombers*. Tell the fighters to crush any aerial opposition and tell the rest to destroy naval facilities, factories, and anything else that's vaguely military! Go now!" Hans saluted and ran off to carry out these orders. Only a few moments later, two hundred Danish-Icelandic planes rose up above the fleet, bound for the city. These damn Bolshies or Menshies or whatever the fuck they were would learn that the Danes meant business...

*The Essex-class carriers, which my Copenhagen-classes are an equivalent of, could each carry 100 planes. Also, they can only carry light bombers, as the Danish heavy bombers are far too large to be carried and must lift off from land.

OOC: And the war begins! Keep in mind, though, that the Danish are calling it a "police action" at the moment, and haven't yet declared war.

The behavior of the Danish King at the conference was most un-regal and quite frankly, rude. The New Orleans conference was meant to foster an accord amongst the civilized nations on how best to uplift the African Continent. Instead, it did the exact opposite, fostering anger and making it seem like the Danish King needed more civilizing than even the most barbarous tribe of the dark continent.

It is with this statement, that the Korean Confederation condemns Denmark-Iceland. It is our utmost wish that they realize their offense and offer the Commonwealth an apology.

"Alright everybody, breaks over!" The Chief engineer barked through the intercom. "These boats aren't going to build themselves."

Soon everybody was scrambling around the shipyard like little worker ants, the docks were busier than usual. A large order by the Holy Roman Empire for 5 warships meant that everybody was going to have to wait a little bit longer for that 1 week vacation they'd all been dreaming about.

In the distance, the frames of 1 Pusan-Class Battleship, 1 Pyongyang-Class Escort Carrier and 3 Kaesong IX-Class Corvettes, could be seen. Hanging on steal cables with ladders and and an orgy of heavy machinery all around them. Several columns of guards could be seen patrolling around the docks, many of them equipped with the new AK-47s imported from the Holy Romans. At least one officer was seen brandishing an AKM.

"Look at this bad-boy!" The officer looked down at one of the workers. "Don't you wish you joined the army?"

The worker looked up at the officer, annoyed, and then picked up his welding kit and walked over to the hull of the Pusan Battleship and started working. The workers may technically have been civilians but he knew that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. If Korea ever went to war, they'd be safer.
