The Korean delegation walked in the front door. Not used to the humidity of New Orleans, many of them were sweating profusely. Wet, hot and wearing ridiculous looking bright green colonial uniforms they looked around at the other delegates in the room and then proceeded to take their seats. After taking off his hat, the head envoy began to speak.

"On behalf of the Korean Confederation and our benevolent leader, Federal Executor Kim Hwang Lee, we would like to help in the process of claiming sections of Africa to civilize and lead the otherwise backward people. As such Korea would like to lay claim to Madagascar, Mozambique and Tanzania."

OOC: Guys, technically these lands aren't named, so you can rename it or explain where the hell you got the real name from.

"Hmm. This is troublesome. Two claims to one island..." said the Archduke. "Would it be suitable to divide the island between your two nations?"

The serious-toned, well aged Patriarch of Constantinople silently entered the room, without any attention. Taking a seat next to an informer, who told him of the goings on. He stood up politely and dignified. "If I may, Your Ducal Highness, may I stake a claim for my Illustrious Realm. In the following region," he took out a small map and pinned it to a board. He surveyed the room; Asians, Americans, Frenchmen, and those Austrians. He tried to hold his glance back from the Austrian in particular.
The Map was similar, though it showed the whole continent..

"I hope my fellow delegates agree with these terms," he finished.

"Gentlemen, I have recieved word from the Crown about how he wants to possess, Cameroon, Eritrea, Somaliland, Socotra, and Central African Republic.

OOC: Very well, I'll just call that whole area Korean East Africa, it will be one gigantic colonial country ruled by the Korean Federal Government

"That would be suutable, yes. Further, I am highly opposed to the expansion of the Byzantine empire, with their recent, barbaric warmongering. Britain, as well, should not hold that massive of an empire. It will upset the balance of power adversely."

"Oh goody, the Byzantium wants to kill off all of those Islamic Africans" Sturm thought to himself as the Byzantine unfolded the map.
"Her Imperial and Apostolic Majesty, Queen Viktoriya the Fourth, would like to lay claim to the mouth of the Kongo River" Sturm said, standing up as he spoke.

"This is the land we would like to become our mandate, Korean East Africa"

"Well, All we want is Cameroon, Eritrea, North Somaliland, and if possible South Africa. How is that large? You have all of Canada!" He said, looking at his map.

The Korean delegate looked at the other claimant to the island of Madagascar.
"Very well, we are willing to negotiate a just division of the island between our two empires. We would favor the Northern half and the Eastern coast, is this acceptable?"

He then continued. "Our other claims remain the same, however."

"Very well. The Korean claims seem to overlap with other ones. Thus, I'd like to try and have the Byzantine, Korean, and Danish reresentatives try to work it out betwixt themselves." said Archduke Bonaparte. "As for the British claims, they have not gone beyond reason yet. I see no cause to force cessions unless there are conflicting claims. In addition, civility is important. Don't become angry."

"I would like to have this part of Africa. It has easy access to the mainland and also can be a port for my country and a market for your countries."

"We have already claimed Mozambique for Korean East Africa." The Korean delegate looked at the Austro-Hungarian delegation, slightly annoyed.

Sturm frowned at what he was hearing, not so much at the starvation, but more at the Gold Coast being claimed already. He pondered for a few moments until an idea came to him.
"Perhaps we could share it, no division or what not, but use it for both of our needs" Sturm propositioned. "If not then I am sure I can find somewhere else" He continued. He then turned to the Korean delegate, annoyed that a small country in the Far East was making claims to continent thousands of miles from their homeland. He took his fingers and pinched the bridge of his nose, while only mustered to say a few words "I'm sure we can work something out"

" I dont see anyway I can prosper......if i go inland I will be cut off feom my mainland.

The Korean delegation stared icily at the Austro-Hungarians. The guys barely have a coastline, what use do they have for colonies in Africa? One of them thought.

Eventually the leader of the delegation got up and looked at the map of Africa, with the latest claims sketched on it. Satisfied, he sat down before turning to the Austrians.

"There is nothing to work out, it is Korean East Africa." He then thought for a moment before inquiring. "Is Burma taken?"

"It seems we have a large portion of Africa that goes unclaimed. Are there any nations wishing to expand their ownership into the Congo basin and Zambezi Valley? Perhaps we shall save these territories for the Prussian, Scandinavian, and Holy Roman delegates, who have not yet arrived."

"Excuse me, most Honoured Delegates of the Korean Federation, but Byzantium has already laid claim the Northern Area of the Korean mandate. Perhaps we could work out a more favorable border, perhaps farther to the north, where the lands of Tangyanik and, as I believe the Koreans call it, Mojanbikeu," Said the Patriarch.

"It seems we have a large portion of Africa that goes unclaimed. Are there any nations wishing to expand their ownership into the Congo basin and Zambezi Valley? Perhaps we shall save these territories for the Prussian, Scandinavian, and Holy Roman delegates, who have not yet arrived."

"Yes, I think this is a good suggestion."

Roy got up and grabbed his jacket.

"I do not see how my country will prosper with an inland colony. I cannot export anything from it. So i will leave the rest of Africa to you gentlemen." he said.

Roy looked back at them.

"Just be wary of what you choose......the tribes are savage and will do anything to fight back. I hope you know what you guys are getting into." he said.

"I also agree with this, as it will be fair to the other nations." Sir William Hughes said, putting his coffee cup aside, and looking at the British Holdings. He looked at Roy,
"The British Empire is very powerful Army-wise, but eh in Navy-wise. We can use our army to flush the natives."
