[Isla da Penumbra]

Isla da Penumbra, a small utopian paradise located in the centre of the Isla Ocean. It is a democratic republic led by Mikael Ivanova with a fair hand. The political freedoms and civil rights far outweigh the economy however, after a long recession, through rule of Mikael Ivanova, the economy is gradually getting back on its feet. Healthcare research has found its highest point over recent years and biotechnology and microtechnology are starting to appear. However, the nation is constantly threatened by surrounding oppressive regimes led by a ruthless dictator. Until finally one began an invasion of Isla da Penumbra.

This thread is a small scale war in which an oppressive country invades the uppermost part of our island. The island is shocked and split into two seperate parts. The military is fragmented across the jungles and mountains of the northern part of the island. Staring into the face of adversity, Penumbran troops are setting up a strike force to regain the whole island.

So, is anyone interested in this thread?

Yeah, i'm pretty interested. This is my first war thread, btw.

I blitz the capital with heavy strike bombers, targetting centers of industry. Then, i move troops down from the north of the island, and engage the insurection in battle.

I'd be interested, though my involvement will be ICly secret. Expect USAPDIA and USAPCIA agents to be training and operating a guerilla force among the populace to fight back. I could also get my fake mercenary corp involved, with them being a front for the USAPDIA and USAPCIA, or get a guerilla force I assembled in an earlier thread involved, them now being a borderless force. Of note, is that while I may get involved militarily, it won't be in a poorly made and poorly researched method of placing 1,000,000 people in one location to fight, it just means I am going to have forces cover more ground, with a even spread of forces, with more forces just meaning more ground is capable of being covered, so there should be no goddmodding in that respect, with it still being capable of smaller nations defeating that force in question, they'd just have to RP in a smart manner and pick their battles, though this is still suggesting I'll even get the USAP armed forces involved, which shall most likely not happen.

I'd be willing to sell Eastern Bloc military equipment to Penumbra IC. Also, if the USAP and the Penumbrians agree, I can set up a deniable-ops mission to join the USAP agitators. I'd be willing to have my Spetsnaz troops train and lead the guerilla forces (in local attire, of course). If all else fails, you could always let me call in venerable Article 215 of the Lolzi Unified Code, the article that details the justification of foreign military intervention.

Question: Are those numbers of tanks and troops the numbers per transport, or the total number on all transports?

Those are the amounts on each ship, though currenty two of the Rygor ships appear to have encountered enemy gunfire. Information is being updated as we speak. Smaller forces than previously thought may be able to reach the Isla.

Anyway, im sending an elite Frogmen unit of thirteen officers to land on the south of the island and scout enemy activity. They should be landing within a few hours.
By the way, I'm fighting against the island. It has a huge crop of Bananas that could be harvested.

This getting a kind of, somewhat, strange. This is supposed to be a realistic thread and now I have what: people fighting for an island for a crop of bananas. The only real sense being spoken here is by 'Altruistic Paladins', 'Lolzieristan', 'New Sangheilios' and 'Drakon-Qan'. Also, for those who don't know, this isn't the actual RP thread, it's an interest thread. Furthermore, my capital is in the south along with numerous larger cities. The reason for attacking the north is for the enemy RPer to have a strategic advantage over me. Now, I will decide who shall be invading my nations.

@Lolzieristan: Yes, eventually, in such a struggle we will buy the weapons. This goes also for anyone else offering support.

I'd be happy to do that. I may even get the USAP Green Berets get involved and train military forces, while the USAPDIA and USAPCIA rally the people in a guerilla force par-the-course. Now we just need to know whether the Penumbrians will join in as well.

I'm afraid I can't afford to contribute all that many ground troops right now, but I'll send the army corps I pulled out of Circasia. I just got sick of that bastard. It'll come with the full-strength carrier group, simply because I'm erasing that war from my nation's history. If anyone wants to hear the rant, just say. I don't want to bore people/get off topic.

Anyway, sixty thousand troops with full vehicle complement, as well as one of my carrier groups. Plus air assets that will based off El Isla de Tonteria.
