I have read on those subjects. And I know enough to know that the Chinese tolerated small amounts of Christians as long as they kept quiet. And merely BEING Christian wasn't a death sentence, you were just enslaved and sent to the Muslims in Western China

Anyway, he's the EMPEROR. If the EMPEROR says something is legal, it becomes legal. Because he is the EMPEROR. Anybody who disagrees with the legalization of Christianity will be enslaved and sent to live with the Muslims.

EDIT:
A little research reveals that Christianity was only expressly banned in China in the 18th century when Rome decided that you couldn't be Christian if you used the wrong word for 'God' and took part in various Confucian seasonal and ancestor rites.

Just checking, OMG, but Maratha is capable of doing so, right?

Also, can I make up all the cultural stuff about the Maratha, or are there some particular things you want me to have? (They will be majority Hindu, don't worry. Sikhs are given rights, Muslims are looked down on but given rights, though Christians are hated.)

The Maratha do not have large-scale interstellar capability, nor any particular motivation to go around founding colonies. They make a ton of money selling tea to silly Europeans right now.

The issue of colonies should be addressed. Right now people seem to be treating them as some sort of magical thing from which all good springs. You throw out a colony ship and wait a few months and POOF! It gives you everything you want!

Colonies should not be that easy.

Alright. Somebody mentioned that the Maratha had a large fleet, and I assumed that along with my huge population, colonies were possible.

Im disappointed! No invite for the US? this makes me sad seen as though China had at least cordial relationship with the last Chinese Empress. Then again I am Allied with France so now that I think about it! nm lol

Hey guys sorry I haven't been active over the past few days, I aquired Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 and found the game space station 13. Those three together (the Tridistracta) have cut into my NS time. Will be on more regularialy now.
