Days was a bad generalisation on my part i think, when i say days i mean 2-3 which with supply issues isnt that bad not for the moment atleast if Hawking doesnt get to them soon though then it would get to the point they'd start picking up Confed guns or trying to club you to death. They got a good couple of days worth of ammunition and whilst its not to nice of me they can always raid the local shops for food. come to think of it are there any gun stores in Knoxville ha ha

I certainly wouldn't call myself a veteran of EE, but in my opinion, it's purely your choice. It'd be nice to have another African nation though.

I don't really know you well enough to say. Do you like playing the underdog? Do you prefer war or commerce? Are there any particular cultures you have a particular interest in?

How about the Red Free State? Or the Cape Colony. I realize that the Cape Colony would need approval from the mother country's player but I'm happy to be subordinate to another state........for a little while at least.

Red Free State would be cool. As far as I know you'd have free rein to make it all up, since nobody's been them before. Plus, another African nation

In other news, ya their has been no Red Free State yet. As for Cape Colony I would be ok with letting someone take control of it as a partner state for now and possibly mostly independent later (your staying Dutch though even if I have to glass you from orbit ) if you want. Currently some 80% of the Cape Colonies standing army is in America fighting against the FSA right now.

Basically the Extra sol state is known as The Pashalik (of Blah blah to be added) and was a former vassal state of the now obsolete Ottoman Empire. Colonisation was initially funded by a combination of Ottoman, private and Foreign funds, the latter because of the potential influence and befits that they could have over the colonies for less cost. After the Collapse of the Ottoman state in the Second Great war, these colonies bound together out of need for survival, rather then out of Political unity, something reflected in internal Politics. Currently the Capital world remains the only planet with a large population, with the others still relying on each the Capital for money and protection. The Population is very multi ethnic, and each world has it’s own unique population jigsaw.

In terms of Relations, the Pashalik is generally unknown or disliked throughout the Political scene because of it’s renowned use of Piracy. The exception to this is those few Opportunist nations who have set up Factories in the system to take advantage of cheap labour, little human rights and Government protection.

Unless the timeline has changed, the Ottomans never had extrasolar colonies. Nobody had extra-solar colonies prior to the start of the RP, since FTL travel didn't exist.

However, certain Ottoman/Algerian/Tunisian nobility might have fled the system when they got the chance and formed such a state.

well for the first point that was what I menat by not entirely Ottoman as it was also alot of funds from privcate and foriegn investors, the Colonists were just from the Former Ottoman empire

as for the second bit, I did not realise may have to do rethinking
