Fair enough. But any Russian player will feel the same way if they've lost Japan and Kalifornia (possibly). Like I said in the original post, I've got no problem with not doing that. I just thought it would be a good idea. I'll keep thinking.

They have a colony, actually. In a system called Tuscany which is mostly dominated by the Italian and Venetian empires, hence the name. Once again I think they're probably dependant on good relations with the major powers, especially Russia, to keep it- considering the history of Italo-Abyssinian relations.

Oh I don't know, I'm guessing allowing us to own some fortifications you may have on the Abyssinian-Roman border. Should you by chance, discover any extrasolar territories, France gets a slice of the action. A Non-Aggression Treaty. Stuff like that.

A point of clarification, the Magyar Empire and the Cossack States are both in the Russian Orbit, along with our dear friends (who we never speak to) Byzantium. That said, any attempt to leave our little "Russian Coalition (Minus the Russia)" will not be viewed particularly nicely by the Hapsburg Line. Furthermore, as an ally of Russia, if there is going to be any attempts to better relationships between Russian-Friendly states, we'd appreciate an invite.

Well it was worth a try. How about in it's place we have A Right-of-Way treaty, allowing French troops to cross over Abyssinian territory if necessary, without the need to ask the Abyssinian government. This would also work vice-versa.

Well we're happy to have you with us, and while I don't recall us having any thing similar to a navy or any extra-planetary colonies, the Cossacks do have a fair bit of (stolen) supplies they'd just love to sell to you for cheap, hell with prices so low- its almost like they didn't pay for them.
