If they are realistic and not terrible, go ahead. Of course, while I am not strict when it comes to a lot of things, stats blocks and other such things are important for good RPing. If you have a picture, a name, and nothing else but what you think it can do, than no...of course, if you took the time to do an entire stats block and write up that is not tech wanked, I would be more than happy to allow you to use your personally customized weaponry.
